  • Been working on this leaky refrigeration system for about 9 months now and I've had a tough time finding the leak. How this system was set up was that there was one condensing unit for 2 evaporators (one walk in cooler and one under counter cooler) If you guys know me, you guys know that I try to stay away from UV dye's as much as I can; However, I decided to give the EasySeal UV dye a shot because I had already tried the traditional way of using nitrogen and big blue... and that didn't work. I also tried using my H10pro but I still could sniff out the leak. I was at first skeptical for using this dye because I've heard many horror stories about them but I gave it a shot. Watch the full video to figure out if the UV dye did the trick or not.

I’m a licensed hvac service tech. I installed a mini split system that developed a leak. It was leaking 10 oz. in 24 hours. I tried the Easy Seal Ultimate SS. I was skeptical if it would seal a leak like that, but it has sealed it and I couldn’t be more happy with the results. It’s an awesome product. Not only has it saved me time, but it’s saved me money as well.
I can’t say enough good things about this product. Awesome results!

Your purge was completely wrong and you pushed air into the system. You're supposed to put the yellow hose on the tube just slightly without depressing the schraeder then start to gently purge. Next, screw the hose all the way down quickly, depressing schraeder, while still purging to keep air out. Now open the liquid valve to inject sealant.

This product is the best to use and saved me from head scratching almost impossible leaks to locate. Had a condenser that would hold a nitrogen charge of 230psi for 3 days straight and needle didn’t move while under nitrogen pressure. Put refrigerant back in and would leak back out within 24hrs and would only lose charge while running! If it wasn’t for this product I’d never have found it on the condenser right at U bend on far bottom corner. I’d definitely use this again without question!

Thanks man!! I watched this video about a month ago when I was trying to diagnose my home AC unit. Here we are, weeks later, my AC unit still has a bad leak lol, so I've finally purchased this Easyseal product and a UV flashlight. This is probably my last ditch effort to fixing my old system before we bite the bullet and get a new one. I really appreciate the tutorial, seems easy enough, and I'm excited to give it a test. When I do [hopefully] find the leak, I'm still not sure what I'm gunna do to fix it since I don't have a welder... But nonetheless, I'm gunna try. I will report back here with my results, if I can remember to. Please pray for me, and my hot-ass house 😂 I really can't spend 4 grand on a new unit right now....

      @@brianodental1634 Ooo, you're right, I didn't.
Unfortunately I didn't have great results... I tried this one and another product a couple weeks later, both failed to fix the leak. I think it was just too big of a leak to be fixed with a sealant product like this, and I kinda figured that from the start. I don't blame the product at all, I'm sure it works with smaller leaks.
I was also bummed though, because I expected to find a large amount of UV glowing at the leak spot, but I could only find the most tiny of little specs of glow, and it was deep in the coil condenser unit, not very accessible. I'm still a little confused about the whole thing, but due to some other circumstances in life, we actually haven't been able to live in our house since last summer anyways, and never got it fixed. I'll still have to get it figured out before we move back in.
      Good luck with your repairs!

Just because you have a bubbly sight glass doesn't mean that you are necessary low on refrigerant.

@@saejunekim7631 I'm pretty sure he used the sealant with dye INCASE he couldn't find a trace of the dye anywhere, then would depend on the sealant to seal it up👍

I can't believe you compared the packaging of the product to a condom manufacturing company's packaging! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
You left so many unanswered questions on the table with your product review.
Like, did you wind up having to top off the refrigerant? After all, you did find a leak in the evaporator, and you said there were bubbles in the sight glass (which, in SOME cases, would represent a shortage of refrigerant).
Also, did the product actually stop the leak, or did it just help to pinpoint the location of the leak?
Leaving us hanging is like leaving a girl hanging by forgetting to put the condom on BEFORE you begin service! 😳
