  • Dear friends
    After 7 months I’ve already posted 30 episodes on TH-cam. This wouldn’t have been possible without your support and encouragement. I intend to work harder to feature the best foodies in PJ if you’re still keen to watch. If there’s any consolation, a lot of the stalls that I’ve featured have come forward to thank me for making an impact on their business. Since a lot of you have been asking for the google links, I’ll put it upfront here. Bye for now and see you in the next episode, meanwhile go support our local street food especially in times like this. Thank you.
    Google link for 8 best roast pork rice, courtesy of Mr. Garry Loke.

    Hi Uncle Elmo. I think no need to layan those type of comments. I don't see an issue in the way you share your videos. In fact, I have helped so many small business owners because of your videos (which is the exact reason why I watch your videos = to find good food + help small businesses). If they think they need to see more gimmicky videos (eg. slow-mo, closeups etc), then they should go elsewhere 😅

    Elmo, another great video. Another round of whacking on your critics. Comparison with Hong Kong is good. I always thought HK is Chinese food paradise, no so when a Hongkie tourist said, Malaysia's char siew and siew yoke is the best, far ahead of HK. It really make me proud.
    Village Roast Duck is really good, one of the best siew yoke. I have only tried Pavilion 7th floor restaurant. They make the siew yoke in two batches, one for lunch and the other for dinner, always sold out. Siew yoke must take it fresh from the stove. The taste will deteriorate very fast, those I bought in the morning, by dinner time, it taste so lousy. The crispiness is gone, even the meat deliciousness become stale.

    Good Recommand Food Video

  • @paulus.c
    @paulus.c ปีที่แล้ว +1

    开头片段那位网友投诉的要求,在一堆中港台美食节目里面都有,还拍得真是专业,但却总是少了一份真诚感。在本地的中文美食节目,就属阿贤的最专业,也最能拍出烹饪著的心声,观众也总是看了会食欲大动。其他一堆所谓的本地网红和收费美食专页的美食视频,就见仁见智,特效也属于软件性能,没什么好攀比的,内容更不值得一提。美食节目是要推广美食,而不是搞一堆似是而非的拍摄技巧,千万不要本末倒置。
    Elmo 您的美食拍摄是属于自己心水推介,不是商家付费推广 (虽然有些是有赞助商,一些是邀约)。拍出来的视频,可以让 Klang Valley 观众看得明白,收音清晰,店家资料准确,食物也没有乱报,绝对属于接地气的大马本地平民美食。重点是每一集的规划都很好,不会胡乱贯穿。
    您每一集开头的地区历史简介,就诚属在这个资讯泛滥的时代,对大家而言是可贵的;但是一直以来却被大家所忽略的,直到您在视频的介绍,大家才唤醒或认识到这些史实。谢谢您的衷心拍摄,也期待日后您可以举办一些本地美食聚餐,由您当向导。

    I agree Uncle Elmo, I live in melbourne and there’s so much Hk and Malaysian food. The HK roast duck and soy chicken better than Malaysian. But our Malaysian Siew yoke and char Siew is much much better. More succulent vs HK one which is dryer and slightly saltier. Even our wan tan mee is better, HK style just uses oyster sauce on top …

    Eateries are such wide market that it's impossible to try every stall even if you take 20 meals a day. You are sure going to miss some. Not everyone will agree with your "best". However, your videos offer suggestions on where I can go for what, if cravings do arise, and I don't know where to go.

    Hi Uncle Elmo, I have been seeing your video throughout this year. However, why didn't you feature Wong Kee Chicken Rice Section 17 PJ. Their roasted pork and charsiew are superb. Next episode, can feature Best CharSiew Rice in PJ?

      Thanks Paul I did feature their chicken rice 4 months ago and discovered that their siu yuk is good too hence I approached them last week thinking 2 feature em. They said they stop selling siuyuk for 2 mths already coz the ingredients is out of stock. I was taken a back since I know how SY is made. I dunno their reason but SY is made the same everywhere including HK. It can't b the ingredients. It's about the processing timing which makes the difference. Basically when i probed em, they got very defensive and was so unnecessary

    Uncle感謝你的內容,感謝你給了我們幾個可以吃到燒肉的選擇,我個人是覺得可惜的是你在影片裡並沒有提到燒肉的精髓,好吃的燒肉皮脆,肉肥瘦均勻是基本,但不是每一檔燒肉都有燒豬味,而一盤好吃的燒肉,燒豬味是必須的,不懂其他人吃不吃得出,燒一隻豬和燒一塊肉味道還是有差的
