NICE!!! Louie ,very nice ! Thanks for showing the vidieo & all the detailed information that goes along with it ! I've watched this thing 5 times already. So feeling 20 years old again hey Louie ? Good for you! Yes it does have the real BRAAAP! Now (QA).
I feel different about first gen revs now ,thanks for all the info , I'm just gonna build a mod like this now ,thanks too you I no longer need a 2014 rev.
That's a perfect looking snowmobile. I loved the REV chassis back in the day, used to ride a REV 440 2006 model. Maybe I should do the same mod as well.....
you should get yourself a cooling system vacuum filler tool, you'll never worry about burping or air in your system again. plus you can leave the gauge on for a little bit and check for leaks before you go and fill the system and find out you need to drain it again for some reason.
No Thermostat! The Coolant isn't going heat up, it's going to be moving so fast, it's not going to have time to heat up, only thing that's going to heat up, is your Engine, Good luck! That's why there in there!
You're primary clutch is were the noise is coming from. It needs a bushing kit. Alot of these clutches do that. Not expensive to fix at all. Sounds good though!
It looks great, now you will be hooked on big bores I'm on my third. Put a Koso EGT and you can really dial in your jetting you have to come down lots from stock. Congrats
I've never overheated a motor - but I am old school - air cooled. A water cooled motor may make more hp - but then there is the expense and weight and expense when you overheat it :P
When I rode often - I never had a helmet, no vest, just a snowmobile suit and what was worn by skiers - but we did have a full cowl to hide behind - unlike modern sleds that offer NO protection for the rider. I don't think we've evolved in snowmobile technology any..
I believe the raddles come from the primary clutch. It did that on my sled not to long before I broke the stock clutch. Did you buy new Clutch buttons for the TRA clutch when you put it all together?
Wow Lou you make this look easy I am having to rebuild my 2000 mach z 800 I have a bent connecting rod on the mag side I've never changed one out before I have done top ends but nothing in the bottom I got a new piston rebuild set as well is there any tips you can give me I have top end off and motor is out getting ready to pull mag off to split the case so I'm hoping everything goes smooth is there a way to get a hold of you or someone who would know these 809 motors I'm trying to save money and I believe you value things more when you put the time in and learn new things. Thanks man keep making more vids there so awesome!!!
is there any fact or fiction behind exhaust wrapping? awesome way to keep heat out from under the hood but people say it hinders performance or changes exhaust pulses. what's your take?
Im looking for a can for my 1993 arctic cat wildcat 700. I want one that's loud but not so loud that I can't ride trails without getting a ticket. Do you have any suggestions? I am on a budget so cheap would be best
In your 800 oil delete video, you recommend "Royal Purple" oil and have solely used it for years. Now you state in this video that you have been using "Irving Oil" for quite some time?
I got confused at the part where you said you were putting the coolant in pure? Typically coolant has to be mixed 50/50 with water for it to have maximal freeze protection. Believe it or not, a 50/50 mixture will provide better freeze protection and freeze at a temp much lower than pure glycol.
Hey man not sure if you’ll respond but I have the same kit in my 04 summit that I just purchased off someone. The sled runs great and everything however when I try to go above half throttle or hit 6k rpm it won’t rev out anymore the sled will fall on its face. But anything below that and up to half throttle runs great. Hopefully you could help me out thanks in advance. I was thinking maybe the old fuel in the tank
I have had different rates of successful break in sessions. Done the whole baby it for 5 tanks of fuel only to blow it up first run across a lake. Have also let a fresh build warm up completely and went balls deep in powder and gradually worked it hard. 7 years and 4000 kilometers later it still runs like it was just rebuilt
Yep, Mineral oil for sure on break in! seats rings properly, combusts properly, does not leave a glaze on cylinders which creates blow by! just make sure its good grade mineral oil....im speaking for older powertek models....Etecs i have no experience with...maybe they like synthetics better. Xps mineral or Legend is the only oil going in my machine!

thanks for watching - much appreciated!
u are best!! i live in finland and there is very much snov on winter!! i love snowmobiling and i have too mod sled! im your big fan!!
love that sound, i wish i had one.
That is frickin sweet!!! U keep me inspired to always go one step farther with my sled
I feel different about first gen revs now ,thanks for all the info , I'm just gonna build a mod like this now ,thanks too you I no longer need a 2014 rev.
Darn right! thanks for watching!
These videos are great!! Inspired me to get my first snowmobile ever which is a rev, 07 summit 800....love it!
I love the safety squints when ur blowing out the hole.
with head turned:)
That sled is LOUD! I love it! :D

Winter isn't long enough, I want more riding.
BRRRRAAAAAAAAAAP!!!!!! Gotta love it. Thanks for posting.
I have the same kit as yours in my 04 rev. Are you going to run mineral oil all the time, even after breakin?
Can't wait to see a side by side run with both the 800 and 827 to see comparison of both suspension and power
going to be fun - but i think i know what the winner will be:) until the turbo of course!
man that thing sounds amazing... just sounds like a complete screamer. Love it
No Thermostat! The Coolant isn't going heat up, it's going to be moving so fast, it's not going to have time to heat up, only thing that's going to heat up, is your Engine, Good luck! That's why there in there!
Awesome engine you had built up
Fresh rebuild. No heat cycles before ripping around.?
Did you do any kind of break in?? or did you just go out and romp on it right away?
You're primary clutch is were the noise is coming from. It needs a bushing kit. Alot of these clutches do that. Not expensive to fix at all. Sounds good though!
It looks great, now you will be hooked on big bores I'm on my third. Put a Koso EGT and you can really dial in your jetting you have to come down lots from stock. Congrats
Thanks kyle, jetting starts soon!
looked great to mee...she sounded great and ran great......nice vids
You are working hard on your snowmobiles. But they all are great machines. and probably need alot of attention to be that good as they are.
sounds great. looks like lot of fun!

You jet down with a bigger piston? Is this because your running premix? Well someone smart fill me in?
He's running an RK Tek head which are more efficient.
Let me know if you ever put your projects on DVD(s). I'd buy them to watch at work between calls!
i might just do that!
I believe the raddles come from the primary clutch. It did that on my sled not to long before I broke the stock clutch.
Did you buy new Clutch buttons for the TRA clutch when you put it all together?
Jaws can I’m guessing hahah or mbrp it’s sounds sooo niceeeeeee
Maybe you should use your drill with 1/2" socket attachment to get those bolts down then torque to spec.
Thermostat part's probably got stuck in the water pump? Where they caused a problem?
Wow Lou you make this look easy I am having to rebuild my 2000 mach z 800 I have a bent connecting rod on the mag side I've never changed one out before I have done top ends but nothing in the bottom I got a new piston rebuild set as well is there any tips you can give me I have top end off and motor is out getting ready to pull mag off to split the case so I'm hoping everything goes smooth is there a way to get a hold of you or someone who would know these 809 motors I'm trying to save money and I believe you value things more when you put the time in and learn new things. Also, what's the net weight of that machine? How does it hold up in comparison to newer machines like Summit 850?
What’s that chattering noise at idle 14:19 my 2006 summit 800 is doing the same thing, I don’t remember it doing it before
Primary clutch ?
Great vid Louie!
I'm looking at buying a used sled. Which one would be better? I'm looking at the 800 summit, 1200 mxz renegade and 800 rmk. Thank You, Sean
and you need a pre-mixing cup, has all your mixing
ratio's on it!
is there any fact or fiction behind exhaust wrapping? awesome way to keep heat out from under the hood but people say it hinders performance or changes exhaust pulses. what's your take?
I thought for a break in you have too take it easy for the first few runs not go full whelly? Just a thought what do you think?
looks like runs good, sound great...
Im looking for a can for my 1993 arctic cat wildcat 700. I want one that's loud but not so loud that I can't ride trails without getting a ticket. Do you have any suggestions? I am on a budget so cheap would be best
sounds great goes great awesome ride
Okay thanks louie now i can go on my trip sunday
In your 800 oil delete video, you recommend "Royal Purple" oil and have solely used it for years.
Now you state in this video that you have been using "Irving Oil" for quite some time?
So Why did you use fiberglass wrap on the head pipe?
that rev is bad ass louis!
I noticed you have no reed spacers? My 04 800 ho has v force 3 and spacers?
Where do I get a valve cover like that for my 08’ summitX 800pteck
Is the 827 big bore kit much worst on gas then the stock 800 ho?
you obviously have worse mpg considering the cylinder portings, do you think bore kits are only the cylinder size?
Did you put that clutch washer on the right way?
Great vid! keep the good work!
Did you even do a brake in?
break in dood
Dude*
All the ppl complaining on how you broke in the motor and it's still brappin in alot of vids way after this 😆
when are you going to work on the elan? i have a 73 elan and would love to do that to mine.
What bars are on there an the seat how did you set that up
Is there any way to lighten the throttle pull on a 07 mxz 500 ss
thing sounds gnarly
Awsome vid as usual keep it up
I got confused at the part where you said you were putting the coolant in pure? Typically coolant has to be mixed 50/50 with water for it to have maximal freeze protection. Believe it or not, a 50/50 mixture will provide better freeze protection and freeze at a temp much lower than pure glycol.
He actually use Evan's waterless coolant which does not need to be mixed. Check it out, its really cool stuff if it fits your need.
Shadowmere450 yeah, pay for the water they've already added, brilliant
What lens is that on your aviators?
So why is there only one headlight?
what is the reason for a tunnel cooler
Hey man not sure if you’ll respond but I have the same kit in my 04 summit that I just purchased off someone. Hmm, check your FOB - might be loose - or actually its most likely your Raves not opening - check the rave valves.
@@PowerModzOfficial okay awesome man thanks for the help I’ll check that next but dumb question how exactly would I check that
That baby got braaaaaaaap!!!
Any tips on paining a rev full black?
Hey louie i got a citation snd both ends of a blot snapped and u cant get the rest of it out any sugestions??
drill it and use an easy out - google it. i may have made a video of that.
I think on of the powervalves cover is upside down ☺️
Hi louis really nice vid. Can you do a video on jeting, how to jet your sled? Thanks
Where did you get the furry gloves!?
That clutch washer is really bugging me. It's conical and needs to go on the right way
Sounds sick man
what does the sled weigh in at?
i wish i had a sled like that
What year is that motor?
Brrraaaapp Approved.
Did you break it in? If you didnt i wouldnt have gone anywhere past 3/4 throttle
i was told to vary the throttle.
Is that crankcase from the old 700cc or have you replace that?
i believe its from the 800 that came in the rev when he got it last year
Is that a diamond drive Lui?
What year is your sled
that primary sounds rough at idle.
The echo holyyyyyu
Mineral on break in? Never heard that before but I believe you!
Yep, Mineral oil for sure on break in! seats rings properly, combusts properly, does not leave a glaze on cylinders which creates blow by! just make sure its good grade mineral oil....im speaking for older powertek models....Etecs i have no experience with...maybe they like synthetics better. 0:56 pushing a huge fart out only to get the sound the hose makes.
Now you just need to install twinpipes :)
Did you mod all of you sleds to be mountain sleds?
Most yes - ditch bangers coming up for the next season!!!
Look's good Though!!!
Kick ass.
just like trying to warm up the old olympique
I see your stinson't fuel tank...I drive a fuel truck for stinsons....maybe i've been at your place before :)
Do you still have this sled
yes and no
Do you use brp oil on the rev ?
I'm using their mineral oil right now.
I’m 11 and I have a 2004 800 rev with the can and it’s pissed off
come on mainnnnn wheres the snow !! riding in sand or what !
I wish you would build my 800 ptec
