I know someone already said it but the electric turkey Carver is what the pros use and you can get them cheap. Great vids I've really enjoyed watching them. There is also a mod for the 800 skidoo motor. Material is welded to the bottom of the piston skirt
i actually think that was very well put together. probably going to do something similar as im buying an 03 rx1 soon. so lots of weight reduction mods. Good Job!
You could work in the suspension - but dont forget that my suspension had 36000 kms on it, by the time i rebuild everything how much am in into a rebuilt 2003 suspension? The ezryde i put into it I paid 800 for used with low kms so I got a suspension light years ahead of the old rev suspension for just a bit more.
Cool My father would mod racing seats as an Upholster and the trick was use an Electric Carving Knife on the foam, but don't tell the wife if its missing for turkey dinner. LOL
Love your work Louis! Went a did a hack job on my seat the other day. Ended up cutting out a gap in the middle and putting the two ends together because I liked the backing of the seat. Then a good ol' rattle can paint job. Gotta get the rough look lol. Killer work man. Thanks for all the help.
Thats one way to narrow them up.lol You are right about the Rev seat being to wide Thats why I did a Poo seat conversion. Electric turkey carver works good for cutting the foam.
Get some adhesive Velcro to lock the seat pan in place. Name brand Velcro is impressive. Split fuel line or some heat to roll the seat pan edge helps too. Just thinking. Good day.
Modz on the cheap ,now that's using your head not just your wallet . No its not pretty but I can see how that will be practical original and something us Red Necks can do ,loving it !
louis not to be mean but i notice that you don't have a tail light don't you think you should add one. Where i live it is illegal to drive your snowmobile without working tail lights, not sure about your laws so just a safety suggestion
It actually looks pretty good its way better than the ol' duck tape seat cover

Why do you have to change out the suspension? Couldn't you just play with shocks and springs instead of tossin a $2000 setup?

i thought you put that ez-ryde from the other summit build?
Did the same thing to my rev seat. Use a box style cheese grator to shape the foam works great!
Good job, Louie. Hack into it I say. An 80 grit flapper disc on a grinder is also great for shaping foam.
You could take some vacuum line and split it to cover up the rough plastic edges on the seat

down and dirty, function over form. love it
At 12:25 I see Louie using round staples instead of flat staples. I say, "Louie, you're crazy!"
Louie says, "Beautiful!"
Thats one way to narrow them up.lol You are right about the Rev seat being to wide Thats why I did a Poo seat conversion. Electric turkey carver works good for cutting the foam.
Oh i like that idea!
PowerModz Work very well for getting smoother cuts on the foam.

Honestly I don't think it looks too bad...
Have you painted the rev? If so, which kind of paint did you use? I tried plastidip but it's not strong enough to hold...
So have you rode it with the seat mod like or waste of time? If you Like it that's how I'm gonna do mine

Hmm not sure! Sorry
Iv got the same seat on my 06 summit i love it even looks good on it
i dont think that the safety glasses help for the fact about how you used the saw.
boy 4 years go by and now I under stand that the safety glasses are just for looks and everything else is just to get it done.
U should do more snowmobile vids. It's been forever
Do you still have your skin seat? If so are you willing to sell it?
I don't think it looks to bad it's way better than something I could of done and i think the spots of yellow adds to the look
Are you selling the old seat?
I'm gonna have TPI do tunnel sides for my next build Did you have a failure with the carbon fiber grab bar?
only because I landed the sled on top of it on the ice - my wipeout vid.
