this and errorzone have been two of the albums that have really slapped hard this year, great to see what jesus piece brought to the table and excited to see what they do in the future
I hear ya man. A LOT of "core" band's as of late came out of the nu-metal scene. Ive been spinning my Bloodlet, Integrity, and Turmoil records waiting for this to drop. You can't fake this intensity!
One of the most incredibly powerful debuts i've ever heard. What a monolithically nihilistic sound; brutal, brooding, industrial, faithless. Fucking perfection.
This is dangerous. So f*cking amazing. Brutal and heavy. Just what I need right now haha. Keep up the awesome work Jesus Piece! Bring back more hardcore! We all need it! 🤘🤘
@@BRILLiantMindzMedia666 I think Xibalba would be more likely to open given Vein's rising popularity but yeah Nails would definitely headline. Fuck it, throw Converge, Chamber, and Orthodox on that fuckin' bill and make it a festival!
Nails Xibalba and Jesus Piece would be an amazing show, Vein is cool but they don’t really fit into the same kinda sound as the others. Vein has more industrial and mathcore elements compared to the others.
I was never really into anything "hardcore". But I've been hearing about Jesus Piece for a while now, and felt the urge to check them out. I am beyond glad to have stumbled upon them, because this album absolutely destroyed my expectations. I cannot wait to see JP blow up.
You should really see them live if you have the chance. I've seen them twice and both shows where mindblowing. The amount of energy these guys have is insane
This is more like slam than traditional hardcore. Taking the good elements of both. With a preference for DM, I say that more double bass could always help. Compared to something like Hatebreed, this kicks fucking ass.
That was à band.... i make them (i have 54years was à old HC/METALCORE MANAGER from INFECTED YOUTH my band with 2lps 3tapes in 1987-1990..) and make your brutality... very good, thank brothers..
Loving this doom heavy hardcore that's showing up so much more in the past few years. SeeYouSpaceCowboy and Jesus Piece and Harms Way are all adding so much energy to a scene that's needed some revitalization.
bitty ga bitty nah this is like sludgecore lol I don’t really see a lot of hardcore character in them more of doom/sludge a little bit of grind maybe? Either way this band is fucking killer
@@corpse5006 modern metalcore and modern hardcore are actually different, modern hardcore is basically just noisy downtuned thrash and groove metal and modern metalcore is like pop vocals over cool string skipping riffs with pitchshifters and stuff lol

Also, Incendiary, Harm's Way, Queensway, Rotting Out, Downpresser, Year of the Knife, Freedom (saw them live with Vein, Code Orange and Twitching Tongues, they ripped it), Trail of Lies, lot of good newer/younger hardcore bands out there.
HellbentDescent i saw them with vein before this album from errorzone had dropped. It was fucking insane. I remember thinking then that vein was gonna get big as fuck. Didn’t realize they’d be playing with festivals with tool and deftones and shit.
was Oppressor rerecorded as a bonus track on this? I've been seeing reviews and tracklists that include it, just was curious if it was a CD/vinyl exclusive. Regardless, this album rips.
Alright. You guys hear this???? THIS is hardcore. This is the new wave. THIS is what needs to be remembered and bands better get inspired by them. Absolute fire and I couldn’t ask for anything more especially after losing faith in Code orange. Mad respect to code oranges first two albums when they renamed after Code Orange Kids. But the new stuff is a disappointment. Keep it raw. Keep it real.🤟
Wow, i didn’t know actual metalcore bands still made music these days. All the popular “metalcore” bands are alternative rock bands with some riffage, this is real old fashioned shit!
@Richard Abdur Rahman Roth I see. Killing or "sacraficing" innocence in the name of "god"... Rationally doesnt seem very godly at all. Not surprising why atheist populations keep growing.
Heard them on Sattelite radio. Their sound is so heavy, especially when they're not playing too fast. They need someone that can write really good songs though. If they wouldn't go to fast on the drums and could write some better songs they would be much bigger. Many bands like this make their songs too complicated. Nothing wrong with a simple beat/crunch and some smoothness. They can still be violent and intense.
@@bigboygames6817 This is a good band and they would be more successful if some of their songs were a bit simpler and basic as long as it's still heavy and raw. No need to overcomplicate songs. Listen to some great songs from bands like Eyehategod, Pantera or Slipknot or even the Rolling Stones or Beatles. Some of their most successful songs are the simplest ones. It works.

Check out Sectioned - Annihilated. One of the most savage records I've heard all year
@Dante Melgoza you ain't wrong. Bands like these blur the line between hardcore and metalcore imo though.

Its going to be awesome having them play their faster stuff from the old ep to the slower stuff here live! Great fucking album love from jersey
I play Quake with this in the background. Great Experience. Same with Vein
