+Video Games IRL when they played outbreak ( their first UK show) shit went off five hundred people packed into a warehouse stage dives, moon stomps/ stepping cross stage and a massive pit in middle- one of best vibes at a hardcore show i've ever seen so much dancing and friendly positive aggression . Gutted i missed last outbreak if i am honest.
weekend nachos did it MUCH MUCH MUCH better and and at the same time didn't exclude metal heads from the mix. I get that Turnstile is fun but i'd never consider this heavy or even one of the catchier bands. Just very accessible.

But at most of these shows its like “open up that pit wall to wall so me and these 3 dudes can do spin kicks and karate” like is that fun for some?? Remember when pits were closed up filled with mad people just slamming. When did bigger circle become better? Il take a big circle with 200 heads like a lamb of god show. But these hardcore kids open the pit way to big and then get bored at hitting the air so they start to crowd kill
Modern hardcore shows can really suck. I'm all down for good violent fun but that shit just doesnt do it for me. Push and skanking pits are a thousand times more enjoyable and have way less of a risk of getting needless injured.
Dude I straight up had to slip the flying fist of a karate master who got bored of swinging into the air and started on the wall of the pit. I felt like a professional boxer for a second though, so that was cool.
The only thing i don't like about this ep is that the drums sound really empty and cold, if you know what i mean. Maybe its just the sound daniel was going for, or it might be the mix. But still a great ep
