Thought i was going to have to buy a new printer. Color stopped printing. Black worked fine, but no color. I checked ink level and all 3 colors were low. Bought new cartridges, cleaned heads and same result, no color printing, just black. Took a chance heads might be clogged and bought cleaning kit. After taking my time and following your instructions, yahoo it worked. Printer now works fine. Thanks so much for doing this video and saving me $300 on a new printer.
Yes it just worked! My blue and yellow color was not printing and now with your instructions and buying that solution worked thanks for saving me money!
I have an hp 6968 that was not in use almost one year, following your video I was able to print again. I created my own mix and put it in about 3cc several times and the rest air worked. Thanks so much.
Thank you so much. It has worked great for me! Instead of the solution, I used plain tap water along with an alcohol swab at my own risk. After I have done the " clean printer head" process 4 times, my printer's printing quality is way better now.
My Blue Ink was very poor on my HP OfficeJet Pro 6975. Cleaning kit definitely improved the Blue printing but I wound up installing a new Blue print cartridge and that fixed the quality issue. Thank You for your help.👍
Thank you so much! I did follow your instructions which were easy to follow and especially directions about the printer maintenance and clean heads (once solution dries). I did not use the cleaning kit - I used other "liquid" that I had in my house and it worked well for me but it was a "hack" and I used it at my own risk. Did have to cycle thru the "clean heads" a few times to get the ink back into the print heads but worked well.
I had the message, "There is a problem with the printhead. Oxc1 9a003. I did what you said to do, but still got this message again. Any suggestions????
With HP Office Jet Pro 6978, was having problem with Blue. Your kit corrected this specific problem. As suggested , I clean other colors. My black was working fine, but now white streaks across black on Print Quality Report. Cleaned black throughly 3 times with same streaks, so now printer unusable. Did everything as instructed including 4 new cartridges.. Hopefully you can offer a solution promptly as I will return kit and have to buy a new printer. I was better off before cleaning!
@@MythreeseedsofjoyBlogspot3 I spoke with HP Tech support and they, after a very brief conversation, said printer was done. Time to replace. However, do a clean heads, followed by the 2nd more complete clean heads, and the 3rd even more advanced clean head, and a clean smear. Then restart printer and do a print quality report. If no better, time for a new printer. But, mine had the white streak across black, HP saying unrepairable if abvove doesn’t work. Good luck! Allan R
I also got the same issue, the cleaning kit ruined my working black. I wish I never used it so useless. Wasted money on it and ink that could have gone towards a new printer.now I have to get a new printer. I find the video misleading as it does not work for everyone.
I have a HP 6975 and the black ink is not printing at all. I jrecentlyt installed a ALL new cartridge (black, cyan, yellow, magenta). Printer stopped printing black completely after I installed new cartiridges (purchased at Staples) six days ago and now printer is telling me cartridges are low. The test pages are only showing green, yellow and blue boxes. No black. I ordered Best Printer Thursday received it Saturday and today as I was attempting to clean, I noticed a bubble of ink in the lower right hand corner. Any advice? I am tempted to buy a new printer because I have work to do and cannot continue to delay.
the problem is that I will have to buy another printer. It did not work at all, and I bought the cleaning solution and did what you show in your video, and nothing happened, all my color ink cartridges (3) did not work well. I had to buy new ones, and the only one that was working, the black one, was wasted in all the testing and testing.
I recently brought the Printhead Cleaning Kit to correct the issue of the Black ink not printing on my HP 6975. I have used the product twice so far (each time 15ml). The first time it appeared there was a good amount of black ink. The second time not so much. Looking for advice on how to proceed. Thanks
Hi, that is totally normal, we will need to do is stop any further printhead cleanings. And now you will need to do nozzle, cleanings and deep cleanings that don't require the kit. You can find the settings for this within the maintenance of your printer you can run these cleanings, and the purpose of them would be for the ink to be pushed back into the system.
I cleaned my print heads, but my cyan is not printing at all, not even on the print maintenance sheet. I installed a brand new ink cartridge and it doesn't even show the cyan when printing. I think I may have a different issue. Have you ever had that happen?
I am also experiencing cyan not printing at all. I have replaced the cyan with a new cartridge and ran the printhead cleaning cycle several times, and it still doesn't print at all. Has anyone found a solution to this?
Greetings. Any idea what would cause the HP Officejet Pro 6968 printer head to get stuck on the right end. Printer goes thru initialization cycle just fine until it reaches the very end when the ink catch basin underneath fails to fully retract, causing the printer head to hang up and give a false paper jam error. But, there is no paper anywhere to be found. Really weird problem! Printer is less than 2 years old and it was lightly used. Thank you very much.
Question i only need the black 2 work do i really have 2 buy all the other colors for the black 2 work hp printer. Haven't used in about a year help printer is almost new never had a problem w/it except only wanting black 2 work one other time i cleaned it --it was ok
My printer stopped with the blue color. I have tried everything. Hp Officejet 6820. The callcenter lady told me to buy a new one because to repair would be to expensive. There is no blu at all coming out its all in the color purple. I have bought a new set originals and the problem is the same. Would cleaning bring the solution ?
I am also experiencing cyan not printing at all. I have replaced the cyan with a new cartridge and ran the printhead cleaning cycle several times, and it still doesn't print at all. Has anyone found a solution to this?
My magenta was not working so I bought the kit. I cleaned it twice last night using half of the solution. Not only didn't it fix the magenta I lost the cyan and the yellow as well and had no color at all. I cleaned the printhead multiple times as well, following all instructions. I came back today and cleaned all of the heads two more times and was able to restore the cyan and yellow I had lost and saw a hint of magenta before it faded away again. Now I am out of cleaner, almost out of 4 brand new ink cartridges from all of the printing and cleaning, and I still don't have a working magenta. I don't know if I will go through the trouble of buying another kit if the magenta isn't going to come back and I don't want to lose my other colors again.
Kerri, this is normal. What you will need to do now is run a printhead or nozzle cleaning. You can find this option under maintenance. Run a deep cleaning if possible and that should push all the new ink baxk into the system.
@BestPrinters Thanks for the response. I did many print head cleaning cycles after this, and still no color. I printed a page in color, still didn't work. I used 50% of my new ink cartridges and didn't want to run out by continuing to run the print head cleaning. After 9 times I thought it was enough. I also printed a quality report and all the colors printed but magenta. If I had more cleaner I would clean the magenta again, but with the cost of ink, I don't want to keep cleaning the printhead with all the ink those use.
Mine stopped printing black. I cleaned the printhead many times and that did not fix the problem. I also bought a new printhead, and it still won't print black. Colour is fine. I also replaced those spring loaded pins and the circuitboard, and I bought a new set of ink cartridges (which are nearly empty now from all the printhead cleaning cycles). What could be the problem?
If you have already gone through the process of cleaning and changing out parts on a printer and still not working, you may want to consider just getting a new printer it may be a lost cause.
i havent used my printer in a while its a 6968 i bought ink today it will print but it wont print with color or anything at all so it will just spit our a blank page
My HP 6975 printer has a error message that says “printer problem.” “Remove and reinstall the indicated cartridge making sure it is correctly installed.” It is showing all four ink cartridges installed improperly. Doesn't print head cleanings damage the printer?
No
Since running the clear printerheads uses a lot of ink. I am curious as to where the ink goes?
There is a waste pad that collects all the ink. Over time the ink levels should stabilize. A lot of ink is needed to restore print quality initially.
Will this work on a HP8500 A910?
Yes
