MONOKEI Standard • quick look

This video is a quick look and unboxing of the MONOKEI Standard in Blush Pink with MX Silent Red switches. The Standard is one of the best prebuilt boards I've tried and is a wonderful board for the price (mine cost $140).
The included doubleshot PBT keycaps have a fantastic grippy texture and are built to last. IMO the keycaps alone are worth the price of entry. They are very, very nice and I hope to see more keycap sets from MONOKEI.
While the Standard is ready to go out of the box, some basic modding and tuning will help it shine. The spacebar on mine in particular was a bit crunchy out of the box and benefitted from more lube in the housings.
Overall, I was very pleased by the Standard and feel that it lives up to it's namesake. If you want a mechanical keyboard that's great for work and play, the Standard is an excellent choice - one of the best.

The Standard is a very good prebuilt board. I used it regularly at work for about a month and it is now part of my standard rotation. It's seriously good and is simple to mod and improve as well. As of this video, the Standard is back in stock at a few vendors - check the description for a few purchase links.

Yep! No mods at all. Since I shot this video, I've lubed the spacebar stabilizer but that's all it really needed.
