The crepe tape that you use is see through and makes it really easy to make stencils or to block off the characters you already made to add in backgrounds if you're good with a knife
That’s crazy. In the beginning I was like omfg that’s too much paint wtf is he doing, but then it dried and then you added the outline and I can visibly see everything much clearer and it turned out crazy. You should’ve showed blending the water from the different shades

@@DeJesusCustomFootwear yes dude I was looking back at some of my old Facebook pictures the other day and saw them and I miss those ! I’ll try to send you a picture somehow. Glad to see your still killing it 👌👍👍
I don’t think I fully understand the question to be honest. Are you asking if despite not prepping then will you be able to clean without ruining the paint? If so, depends how you plan to clean them honestly. Also depends what shoes you’re reffering to- air forces or leather sneakers are much different than vans or canvas shoes. If you don’t prep a material like leather the paint won’t be bonded at all so it’s going to crack / chip when worn or could rub off if cleaned too hard
Good to know thanks!I’m going to buy it then! I have a question…If there are wrinkles on the shoes, will be there a problem after panting with the paint coming off in those places, if so is there a way to prewent that ?

I have a question. So I want to transfer an image on both of my shoes, is it better to paint my solid background color first (which both will be light colors) or do the image first and then color in the background after? I am also new to customization
So after all that, do u put the clear coat on it? Good job on this little job💪 plus the transfer of the picture is sweet! I was trying to cut stuff out. The way u showed us so much easier.
Hey DeJesus! Your channel is a god send for anyone interested in customizing kicks!! Thanks so much for sharing, AND I LOVE your work! I have been wanting to ask someone this and I found your channel and figure a pro like yourself would definitely know. I see copyrighted characters on custom sneakers all the time and was wondering about the legal stuff...
You want pretty minimal paint on the actual toothpick, from there constantly wipe it down so that paint isn't building up on the tip. Then from there you can press down firmly to get a nice solid lineweight every time, if you need to get thinner lines you can sharpen the end with sandpaper also.
Use a stronger graphite pencil, or you can lay down clear masking tape, transfer the image onto there and cut out the silhouette (paint it white) and then retrace in the details.
So around the 4:23 mark you'll see that I start to wrap the paper real tightly around the phone once you have your image sized correctly. Now with the paper wrapped firmly you can begin tracing and shouldn't really need to move the image at all from there.
