When the car reached 230 thousand Mercedes send me a letter to change the chain on Mercedes cost. What I did. Now the car has 280 thousand still running perfect. It’s a E200 d. My first brand new car from the dealer. I still have it 2024.
Does this deep knocking noise in the background suggest the begining of the rocker arms issues? Usually it starts on the 1st and 3rd exaust valves and they make some portion od the feedback presuure to the intake valves. Therefore this deep knocking can be observed on the air intake pipe. Do you see this in the same way?

35.000 kilometers when the video was made. Now the car has 52.000 kms and no problems so far.

I have 876900 km!! W213 E300 de ( with 220d engine) end electric engine. Nothing problems .only service end expensive oil … 😅

There are videos on TH-cam with rocker arms failure and the sound is really really loud knocking. This sounds normal to me …
