This was really nice to watch, thanks for sharing! I enjoy following your work flow on this, you got great attention to detail! And I would imagine it takes a lot of looking to make sure all the angles are right. I want to start making own bodies myself at some point, but still haven't gotten around to it, hopefully someday soon, ha ha! I'm more interested in Tamiya buggies, try and see if I can make some "own versions" of the famous classics, ha ha. Have a great Sunday there!
Great Work!! It’s amazing how you can get all the details from a picture. Even if you make adjustments after vacuum forming. Do you have to form some bodies more than once before your satisfied with the end result?? It must be a long process of sanding and shaping. You must have a lot of patience and really enjoy it. Also you must get a great sense of satisfaction when completing a body. Thanks For Sharing!!👍👍
Some years ago, when I started with vacuum forming, I needed a couple of trials before I achieved an acceptable result. After some years of experience, the first body of a new mold is in most cases already good enough. Thanks you like it! 👍😄
Thank you for these details, I totally appreciate what you have done to step us through the process. What were the wooden pieces for that you screwed on the front wheel arches for?
The real car had wide fenders around the front wheel. I used screws to fixate this part because I wasn't sure if the position is 100% correct for my chassis. If not, I could re-arrange them when pulling another body. But in the end, they were already right at this position
Hey im doing a school project that is going to closely mirror this but im going to design my own car, How long did it take you to sand your mold before it was perfect?
In total approx. 3-4 hours of work from the first coating until it was done. But not in one go - including the time needed to dry the filler and/or the spray, it was 2-3 days. It's like filler - sanding - filler - sanding - filler - sanding - zincspray - sanding and then it depends if you still see dents or bubbles, maybe again some filler and sanding and the very final is always zincspray and sanding with fine sandpaper (400 or more)
Top! Looking forward to seeing the result!
This is really fantastic, thank you for sharing.

Thanks! Sometimes I see only after I vacuum formed a body and painted it, what I could improve regarding the mold.

😂😂🎉🎉 perfeito como faço para conseguir as imagens tem algum site que possa passar para que eu imprima as fotos??? Por favor.
Not as far as I'm aware. I had to take photos which are mostly from each side and enlarged them until the wheelbase of the M-Chassis (239mm)
Great when can we order?
