Yes Sir...Victory over a stuck spike finally. The hairdryer did the trick along with the Softspike Ripper cleat remover. Thank you for the hint and my wife thanks you also as they are her shoes! Happy Wife Happy Life!!
Hello I watched your video, while you were applying the heat I had the idea to get a 1/8 drill bit and re open or clean the spikes holes, after re drilling I used the tool to removed the spikes and they came out very very EZ.
It must have felt like you were playing on ice with those worn spikes. Heavily worn out spikes are not the easiest to remove. Great video on how to do it!
Thanks man, these shoes were sitting in my closet for like 2 years because I could not remove the cleats, I was about to quit on them, hitting the spikes really works 👍
Has the added benefit of that melted plastic high if you do it in an enclosed space 😆 nice video mate, also i don’t know how effective those shoes would have been for the last 2 years of their life!
There's this method and the drill method. I think I'm going to try this one first. Nobody wants to accidentally drill a hole through the bottom of their shoe

Didn't look that easy to me.
@@jchase1702 As long as you heat it up, it will come off, I'm telling you these cleats were stuck in there for good, it works!

No problem! I’m glad it worked, these pair of nikes were sitting there for 2 years because I couldn’t remove the spikes… finally!
This was the only thing that worked. Thanks man!
No problem, I’m glad it worked 👍
“Only heat it up slightly, just until it starts melting.” 😂😂
You got me man! I was hoping no one noticed that 😅! Those tough ones need more hit 🔥

Yes the heat definitely helps, I tried without heating them first for like 2 days, there was no way they were coming out.
Excellent!
Thanks

😂 these are great shoes, I just couldn’t manage to change the spikes and finally did it with a little heat 🔥

@@IIISWILIII try this one first, I think the drill will definitely work too
After I remove the spikes, can I use the shoes casually?
Yes you could, but in my opinion they would be slippery, I would just put on really soft spikes and use them for anything.
The problem is you can take them off with a simple flat head screw driver. Good luck putting the new ones on!
I did try but I’m telling they were stuck in there, yes they new ones when on easily, thanks
🤘used a lighter . Just needed two spikes out .
Any heat seems to work pretty good, I tried without heat and it was a nightmare, impossible
a pin in the ass but this method works. thank you.
No problem, I did try everything before and this was the only method that worked
