Good tip on the chipping prior to the round... gonna use that next round. Also going to co-sign on the launch monitor in the off season. I used the Rapsodo MLM 2 Pro this winter and I've noticed a huge difference in my first few rounds this year.

Nice video I subscribed about a week ago I am also a lefty played 27 years straight as a single digit handicapper. That was a while ago I still have a clubhead speed over 100 mph now 71 years old so I will try the shorter driver shaft for consistency. By the way my lowest index was 4.3 now a 18 handicapper 😥 you should look into the NALG very good left handed competition.

Instead of cutting down your driver just grip down an inch. I have a 46 “ driver and on tighter holes I grip down for more accuracy and let it buck at the end of the grip on wide open holes

I'm really intrigued by the one length irons. I'm an 8 HCP been playing 3 years and irons are by FAR the worst part of my game. I like to joke that I'm a scratch short game player but a 15 HCP iron player and it's properly not far off :D My concern however are the wedges. A 7i wedge sound insane and my feel would be totally gone and I don't wanna lose my short game, but will the gapping be too far if they aren't the same length? Bear in mind, I only do full swing with my GW, my SW and LW are only partial/half swings. I suppose I just answered my own question when I think about it :p

I have single length irons and love them. After playing with them for a year I found myself struggling with my short game from 60 yards in. I purchased standard length short game wedges for anything within 60 yards. This really restored my short wedge game confidence. Life is good again!

Really good, unconventional ideas. I love how scientific you are about playing the best score. Reminds me of Bryson.
Not sure I am ready to fully embrace a shorter driver, but after how few fairways I hit yesterday it's making me think twice. I've been grinding really hard practicing, playing, and lessons, but I'm still struggling to lower my 16 handicap... Tough game, but I'm determined to get to single digits at some point!

I went to 43.5 inches my first year and 44.5 after I got better with my driver. Go to a golf shop ask them to shorten your driver to whatever weight you want and then ask them to add lead tape to the head to get the swing weight to D3

Great video. Regarding putting - if you use the exact same method as for chipping (easy putt and double that stroke length), you have 2 standard distances. You should test those before your round. You then get e.g. 6 and 12 paces for the day, or 10 and 20 for fast greens. Then the rest of the day you base your stroke length for each long putt on that. Will avoid quite some 3-putts.
