Y'know, despite the whole gameplay-story segregation thing, I do think it's really sweet that even in a _speedrun,_ whose entire point is to cut as many corners as possible, all three team members still contribute their part to breaking the game. The bonds of friendship between those three are truly unbreakable.
Goes to show that even if you're incomprehensibly powerful transcendent entities capable of bending the laws of physics, the power of teamwork will still take you even higher.

Sure he hated those 2 power plant sections, where you had to wait for the platform to go all the way up, and you can’t do anything to speed it up, hate those places in games, although you can just use cheat engine speedhack and speed up the game during those moments, or for unskippable cutscenes. And the loading times too, cause it’s an old game running off a disc. I inow you can replace the .exe file on PC, but still. And of course everybody watch speedrun at 2x speed. And watching these speedruns makes me hate the inefficiencies and bottlenecks of the world so much more, stuff like politics, education, and transportation. You really become impatient by watching these, at least I do.

The best part about Sonic speedruns is that it's actually somewhat accurate to Sonic's actual speed
The level load times are so long, why you should replace the .exe with a no cd exe, so the game can run from the SSD instead.

The reason for the low ranks is because of the score requirements for each stage are different.

Geez, even in a TAS these stages feel like they take forever
Levels are much larger than standard Sonic platformers; just too long to go fast in real time. The TAS is still much faster relative to the normal gameplay speed. Unless there's heavy glitch/level warp abuse, it won't be lightning fast.
I mean would you rather it be like sonic forces and beat the whole game in under 2 hours
