- I set out to go hunting with my slingshot expecting rabbits and found a very different sort of game. In fact i almost steeped the rattlesnake. That is not the recommended way to fine them let me tell you. Just about stoped my hart when i herd the rattlesnake at my feet start doing his thing. Slingshot hunting is hard enough but the dark makes it 4 times harder. And the way the rattlesnake was moving about made it even harder but years of practice kicked in and i didn't even think as i lined up on the rattlesnake with my slingshot and just let fly. As awesome as hunting rattlesnake is with a slingshot it is not a lot of food so i kept hunting and it payed of with a chance to take a opossum with the slingshot not even an hour later. Now we will be eating good!!! The opossum is the biggest game i have ever take while hunting with a slingshot.

9 am and watching you eat that rattlesnack and opossum is making me very hungry lol. I won’t fib and say that I don’t have some reservations about eating possum but like you said, if it was in front of me and I didn’t know what it was I’d probably like it and eat it just fine. Here's the story.
I had been watching Chris' Drop Forged videos of his 12 day challenge, since I too am a fat guy in the woods. Obsessed with his hat, I had been searching for where to get this beautiful bearded man's banner of woodsmanship. It was only after stumbling across this 30 day co-challenge and remembering you from Alone that it clicked. Love the hat, love the videos and I'm happy to say that I enjoy your adventures as much as his! God bless you both in your endeavors and education of those of us that need to get a little more dirt in our food and smoke in our eyes.

Fowler, that was hardcore bad ass. I would have believed you could shoot a rubber rattlesnake in the head with a slingshot in a practice simulation. But to do it in a real life scenario seconds after being surprised by a real snake and killing it with the first shot in the dark while your heart was beating from an a surge of adrenalin was INCREDIBLE! I'm totally impressed. You proved your metal to the whole world. Frame part of that snake skin and pellet as they deserve to be preserved as a cherished family heirloom.

Two things with the rattlesnake. They talk about the head still able to bite after its been cut off did you check it? Curious. The second thing I thought of the story of David and Goliath with you taking out the snake with your "sling" and then cutting its head off. lol Thanks for the entertaining videos. It was nice to hear your theme music again. It kind of grew on me.

@@FowlersMakeryandMischief I've hammock camped in a thunderstorm and stayed completely dry. Yes, it was scary but you're more likely to get hurt by widow makers if you're not checking your trees first.

I enjoyed seeing you making things for your shelter in this video. As a fan of ALONE, I often wondered why participants didn't 'go nocturnal' for food. So often someone would get up in the morning and say: 'look at these tracks; there was a lot going on near camp last night.' Meanwhile, they are starving.

Hey and right now, I'm using pellets from my pellet gun as ammo for my (terrible) sling shot, so do u think pellets are good enough for practicing or should I fine something closer to a led ball?
