Here's a tip that might fix a lot of double click issues. Blow into the mouse. No joke. A lot of the time, especially with Logitech and ESPECIALLY with razer mice, you have a static charge build up inside and it makes the damn thing double click. Just blow into the slit under the clicky mouse thing you use to click. Like a long full blow. You don;t have to remove anything or unscrew, just give it a long blow or two to make sure you get some good moisture in there. More of a breathe than a blow, really. A hard breathe.
Not saying this is universal fix, but it works in a surprising amount of cases. If your mouse double clicks, try it out.

Looks like my comment got overlooked so i'm just putting this here.
Serssius is correct with the omron switch, but there is also a 2nd reason this can happen with some mice.
""In some case the problem is the gap between the metal spring and the contacts inside the Omron switch. But whats most likely is the main cause with the Gpro is that the buttons are a bit loose and have room to tilt a bit sideways depending on where you place your fingers the button will hit the switch on an angle and this can cause double clicks. Here is a picture to understand what i mean,, gyazo.com/c42fadd719e2a8da89160ab6ab0d5019 Button is supposed to activate in the middle where you can see the blue pointer. If a mouse has loose buttons it sometimes activates the switch closer to the edge where the red pointer is, that's the cause.""

I tried to bend the copper piece back but it seemed so flimsy i just took it out and put in a same one from a noname mouse and changed it 2 times since over 5 years. Whenever my G903 starts doing this I just give the lmb/rmb a good blast with some compressed air. Seems to be caused by crap making its way into the switch mechanism. Usually solves it for a few weeks

is it humid where you live? If not, when you blast it with air the static build up in wireless mice tend to mess with the switches because wireless mice don't have anywhere to ground to when using it on a cloth bad. to solve this you should get a humidifier.

I suppose it's hardware issue anyway. You being able to cure it with polling rate make me even more sure of it. I heard, that there is a hardware delay for mechanical microswitches due to variable amount of contact surface involved in different moments of the switch actuation process there are difference in electrical current running throught. So engineeres built in the several miliseconds delay so that the electrical current may stabilize and only then send a signal to a computer. So the best way should be to disassemble mouse and cleant the problem switch, or replaceme it completely. If you are still on a warranty, let them do it for you, or replace the product completely. If you are able to get a similar switch you can try replace it mechanical keyboard style without resoldering anything. But it's arguably much harder than resolder. I also heard, that optic switches apparantly don't have this problem. Unfortunately there is not enough device with laser\optical switches to make any sort of conclusion. I only had problem with switches on logitech m570, and repaired through replacing the microswicth.

I had this problem when I first bought my g203 and I had read at that time that one possible cause is the static that is buildup inside the mouse causing the switches to double click. One recommended solution was to breathe between the buttons inside the mouse so the humidity dissipates the static. It sounded stupid but it actually worked although not permanently since I had to do this often. After some days my mouse just stopped double clicking and everything is ok for the last one year.

Reddit found a minor solution, wireless mice don't have a cable which means that it won't be able to ground itself. If you use a cloth mouse pad it will start building up static which is one of the reasons that it double clicks. The solution is to get a humidifier to eliminate static. But in the death adder seems to be software-based or there is something wrong with the cable.

Hey Zy, This is a software issue caused by mechanical noise filtering. We use to see this problem in electronically controlled paintball guns that use the same switches (Omeron Snap Switches). The software has a algorithm referred to as debounce. When this is set incorrectly or has a bug, some of the noise from the switch gets through and registers as a "state toggle event". If you search around for debounce or AMB (Anti-Mechanical Debounce) you'll find articles from the early 2000s about what the setting does on a paintball gun control board. I am sure they are using similar methods in all mice. On the paintball side of the application you can tune this too low and get the marker to shoot just by bumping the back of the body of the run, it will shoot, runaway style until it runs out of air or paint.

I got G903 and after 9 months I use this mouse it started. I done all that reset and updates...reinstall kind of before watching this video but it changed nothing. Very unhappy. Expensive mouse like this and with problems, what a crap!

Another solution for longevity is to simply have a optical switch mouse for office and casual use and keep your gaming mouse tucked away in a clean area and use it when needed. It would be tedious to tangle and untangle if you have a wired mouse, but it's good to not click too much for long term use when not gaming because of wear and tear on the leaf. If your mouse is still new and you had double clicks, it's a software or voltage issue.

Got it on a G502 Prometheus and warranty was off by the time...
Bought a G502 Hero and got the problem, warranty got me a brand new one...
Problem repeat again and I will send it again for warranty...
Problem is related to how sensitive are their circuits around small changes on the contact.
Dissemble and clean of the contacts seem to be the best fix since I have tested that thing about software and didn't fix the issue.
Eventually when all warranty are off, the problem might come back and repair the hard way will be the ultimate solution.
Blowing the mouse does help but ain't a permanent solution.

I have gone through 3 RMAs of the logitech G903 in a year and a half, I like the mouse so much honestly & the support team, but it's such a hassle to go through it when the double clicking issue starts showing up again..

had double clicking issues with my fairyly new g pro wireless, I uninstalled and reinstalled logitech game software, switched mice out to the razer death adder, then replugged the g pro wireless cable to a different usb port and it hasn't started double clicking. I also installed synapse so if anyone has issues try repeating all this lol

Thanks Zy, thanks for the attention you are bringing to this issue.
I have the G pro wireless and since I started using it, it had been double clicking and even more than double the longer I hold the LMB while releasing it.
I tried blowing air underneath the mouse buttons like suggested a lot around the internet and it seems to make the issue disappear only for a few minutes.
Sometimes I'd also get the scroll wheel to start double clicking but that one seems to correct itself after a PC restart.

why not RMA it the first day you got the issue?

    • @removezoul
      @removezoul 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

@@nothingness863 Because they don't sell this mouse yet where I live, so I bought it on the internet. I wanted to give it a few weeks and see if I can fix it myself instead of going through the tedious process of RMA abroad. Now I've started contacting Logitech already but their support is very slow to respond. At least they are in the process of taking my shipping address now....

my logitech g pro only double clicks when i'm using it wirelessly.
when it double clicks, all i have to do it blow under the buttons and it wont double click anymore.
sadly this only works for a couple minutes.
i read something about people using a humidifier at their desk, fixing the issue.
he said your mouse needs a way to discharge. since your mousepad is an isolator.
anyone has any permanent fix besides a humidifier?
