My jaw hit the floor when you held up your mohair dress. It is stunning! Sending along positive knitting vibes in hopes that you can complete it by K1P2 festival.
Jana, I love your Go Go Dynamo! The color contrasts really make the design show up beautifully. I saw Stephen's finished Go Go Dynamo on his MKAL episode on TH-cam this week. I couldn't tell much about it because he had chosen a low contrast color array. I hope things work out for your family to get the rescue dog who has stolen your heart. Jackie will enjoy the companionship, and you're fortunate that she's such a good girl. I like your point about choosing a neutral color that complements your knitwear palette even if it's not among the traditional "drabs" we think of as neutrals.
I need to find a project that gives me the level of joy and excitement that the chunky mohair dress gave you in this video. Loved it! ♥️😍 Thank you, Sophia, for coming in and immediately breaking the peace and quiet. 🙂😉
❤️ Give me something bright and/or fluffy and I'm excited. 😄 Our little one is the same way. She just points at something, announces that it's pretty and makes the most contagious giggle. I'm learning hef approach to life. 😄
I knew sooner or later you would have given in and got the mohair and knitted the dress! And I am not even sorry for enabling you. It's so beautiful and you will be just the most glamorous knitter at the event. Beautiful work on your crochet shawl too...all this fluff in all these colours brought such a big smile on my face today. And thank you for mentioning me...again🤩 happy knitting, lovely xx p.s. I am a dog mummy too and I love my rescue pup so much, so you have my permission to get all emotional about your doggy any time 🐾🐾🐾🐾
Hi Jana. I agree with you about your basic or neutral color as you call it. That then lets you do the bright colors and have it not be so over powering when put things together. When you wear your grays, etc., all your bright colors look awesome. I love your mohair sweater dress so far. I hope you get it completed in time for your festival. I love your videos.
Thanks a bunch! Now I want a mohair dress!!! That dress should be named after you; "The Jana-Mohair dare Dress"! It will be gorgeous, love it so much!!😍 And now, let's order some yarn...hihii!
Oh Jana! I absolutely believe in your ability to knit a dress before K2P2! It’s going to be a stunner. Also, your factory line worker attitude for Clue 3 made me laugh out loud. I did the same! The only thing I enjoyed about that clue (aside from how pretty it looked) was that it was a slog that I could easily measure. Normally with my knitting, I just enjoy the process and cruise along.. This one was tedious though. On day 3 or 4 of the slog, I finally timed how long it took me to knit one triangle, figured out how many I needed to work every day to finish “on time”, then gave myself permission to work on my sweater as long as I got my triangle quota in for the day. I reminded me of Natalie from Knitty Natty and I was very happy to get it done and admire it and move on to Clue 4 🎉
Your Mohair dress will be such a cheerful delight. I’ll be hoping you are able to finish it and the sleeves for your daughter’s beautiful sweater! Still plunking along on my Framed sweater and crochet thread lace curtain panel.
Hi Jana. Thanks for the podcast. Your crochet cardigan is one of my favourites that you have made. Hope you get your dress finished in time for your event. xx
Oh Jana, your colours for your dress are gorgeous! When you held up your dress progress some ads popped up and I actually shouted at my iPad for spoiling the surprise lol. It looks amazing! I have faith that you can get it finished within a month. I’m knitting the Stripe Hype Dress by Kutovakika at the moment. I started this Winter version last year in low budget drops Karisma as I wanted something very warm on the coldest days. I didn’t get it finished last year but dug it out of hibernation and it should be finished today. Now I want to knit a chunky mohair dress too lol. Also, I agree, I was surprised that the GoGoDynamo shawl didn’t have a crazy finish to it, but maybe he wanted to play it safer after the drama last year. I didn’t knit it this year as I opted to do the Ghost Knitter’s Shawl for Ambah O’Brian’s knit along, but I think I will do the GoGoDynamo sometime next year as I do like how the finished shawl looks. Keeping my fingers crossed that you get accepted for the new dog 🤞🏻❤
I just bought Go Go Dynamo because I don’t need another shawl but it’s so pretty! He may have gone more traditional because of the problems last year. I really like your mohair dress. You can do it!
Hi Jana, love to see all the WIP's. And Sofie is so right that she wants the jumper. It is courgeous 🥰. The cast on edge won't get better after blocking. You can see that with Stephen's shawl. Love to hear your solution to get it more neat. It is the same I had in mind. Hearing you came up with it to gives me the confidence that everything will be fine after that 😊.
I really hope you get good news on the dog you’re hoping for🤞🤞🤞🤞. Love the colours of your new dress, it looks like it’s going fast so you’ll get there, I’m confident👍🏼 Take care, be safe and well. 🙋🏼♀️
You are amazing Jana. You have less than a month and you plan to knitt yourself a dress. I plan to knitt only socks for my granddaughter's nameday, which is in the middle of December and I am stressed if I will finishe it in time😂😂
Oh I can’t wait for the festival! I’m knitting a magic marled dress by Westknits, but all in lilac , like the second colour in your yoke 😅. It’s almost done! Love your chunky mohair ❤ it’s going to be amazing, I hope you can finish it on time 🤩 we will be so colourful that day haha! Maybe the shawl is the way it is, because of what happened last year… there might be some trauma there and I wouldn’t be surprised, that was just horrible what happened. I still love it though, and I will finish it. My daughter really likes it so she might steal it. I’m still in the triangles factory 😂
In my mind I see Sofia jumping up and down.....so happy with the beautiful sweater 🤗 I started a tunisian chrochet project (for K2P2 I hope). Suddenly I craved for crocheting while knitting the endless rows for the Stephen West shawl 😊
Love watching your podcast as always. Our dog is an inheritance a miniature poodle he will be 16 next month and very loving and clever. My fingers are crossed you will be successful in your adoption process 😊❤
I love you and your content. I think we would be best friends! But I live in western Canada so alas it’s not fated to be. Keep making content and I’ll keep watching!❤
I rarely have food scraps to compost. My chickens are my composters. :D There are just a few things that either they shouldn't have, or they just don't particularly like. I have a compost pile, but it is not food scraps. Food scraps bring in bears and other critters I'd rather not draw to my house. :))
Do you prefer the Tulip hook or the Clover hook, Jana? I am curious. Do you purchase single hooks or a set? I cannot afford to purchase everything I think I want 😅😂😊
Beautiful neon dress! BTW, which mohair do you think is the softest? I am very sensitive to the itch. All I know is that Drops kid mohair is too itchy for me.

In US they are desperate for people to take dogs and cats from overcrowded shelters. The sunshine colored tabby cat is now named Baldur, neutered and mine. Didn't need a 4th cat but he's too sweet to starve outside or be in the shelter til death, Have 2 rescue dogs and they are enough, rely on each other. Found a box of yarn didn't know about, acrylic. Need a good scrappy dress pattern. Any ideas?
There is no animals in shelters in Finland. Our local one has maybe 3 cats there. The dog we're looking at will be brought from abroad. About the scrappy dress - just choose any basic pattern that you like and make it scrappy. That's what I usually do. 😊
@@FinnishKnittingStories thanks Jana. Finnish shelters sound like heaven, how was that achieved?? Will keep looking at patterns, have thought about extending sweaters as you did... harder than you made it look
Love the colors of your dress, it will be amazing! I hope you get your big puppy!

You bring great joy and lots of grins to so many of us. Thank you. Thank you. 🥰
“Tiny triangle factory”, lol, love it 💜💛😂
I love the 80s athletic wear vibe of your dress! Great suggestion from Dani!

I think we need to make it pretty. 😊
Thank you for answering my question. It was very helpful! I love your chunky mohair dress. I can't wait to see it once it's done.
It was a great question! Thank you! I hope you find your own "neutrals". ❤️
I really hope you get good news on the dog you’re hoping for🤞🤞🤞🤞. Love the colours of your new dress, it looks like it’s going fast so you’ll get there, I’m confident👍🏼
Take care, be safe and well. 🙋🏼♀️
So beautiful work Jana👌💗🙏
Hi Jana! Inspired by you, I’m currently knitting Bean & Olive for my granddaughter (pink, of course 😅). And no, there are no shortrows in the pattern!
You are amazing Jana. You have less than a month and you plan to knitt yourself a dress. I plan to knitt only socks for my granddaughter's nameday, which is in the middle of December and I am stressed if I will finishe it in time😂😂

Hi Jana, i hope that is how you spell your name. Loving your podcasts, so many projects. Much love xxx
You are so funny ,i look forward to see you at k2p2 festival, in your mohair dress .😀
Good luck with the search for your new furry friend. Rescue animals are the best.
Do you prefer the Tulip hook or the Clover hook, Jana? I am curious. Do you purchase single hooks or a set? I cannot afford to purchase everything I think I want 😅😂😊
Do you get triangles or squares on your Go Go Dynamo shawl?😮😊

Your striped dress is stunning. Please model so we can see the finished product

I am a cat person, but I still would enjoy a dog, but it would have to be a little, smaller dog if we ever got one
🤞hope you get the dog!❤️ Jeanne
