aww, I definitely didn’t want to make you jealous and it’s not an off chance because I always watch your episodes, Rebecca! let’s hope we’ll both be able to to again next year ☺️ looking forward to the knitty t-shirt drop & love the look of the Kintra! ❤️
I have watched you from the beginning. I don’t comment much but your creative mind is amazing. The fact that you are also so organized with your releases is very impressive too!
Congrats for including 4 ply versions in your patterns. In Canada 🇨🇦 in winter, people heat their homes a lot, so DK jumpers are too warm to wear indoors, but 4 ply is ok. ❤ Beautiful green vest. 😊
Same in ohio! It's finally cool enough to wear all my wonderful wooly things and my husband is out there stoking the wood burner and cranking up the thermostat so he can run around in his gym shorts.
@dymundprynsess the stitch counts and grading of the sizes is all different when you change the gauge of the pattern. It's basically a whole new pattern and Rebecca is incredible for including 2 different gauges in a lot of her patterns. Not everyone is a design wizard and has the experience to easily modify a pattern to a different gauge to accommodate the type of fabric they prefer.
Don't worry about talking slower, we can always listen at 0.75% speed, which is what I do all the time for your podcasts. 😁 Happy you had a good holiday. I'd love to knit this new Kintra colorwork sweater with only 3 natural colors, beige, brown and butterscoth. No apologies needed for self promotion, I love to see what you are up too.
I just love the pattern you have just released. The colours are awesome. You design quite unique garments The your next design is the one you were knitting when you away for a weekend. I just love your podcasts ❤😊
It's so bittersweet having Rebbac on my computer screen match up (timeline-wise) as Rebbeca on my TikTok fyp. I binged you're entire channel in two weeks while dealing with a chronic illness diagnosis. I haven't been able to knit much but speeding through years of your knitting has been nice. I definitely will be knitting some of your patterns once my knitting mojo is back.
Oh my goodness, i am exhausted listening to all your work 😂 amazing achievements! I love the tees and would also be interested in hearing where the bookish ones are from as i love to read too
loving this new podcast location hehe! the boucle yarn would be so cool in an accesory like a hot bottle cover maybe with intarsia? it would be a nice twist from the classic boring simple hot bottle cover. but also they would make fun mittens! and the mini fluffs? my jaw just dropped to the floor!
Me putting video on pause at minute 1:15 to thank you for trying slowing down your talk. No native speaker very grateful for this new commitment of yours😅
Love listening to your podcasts Rebecca. You have such a creative mind! Love the Staffin vest and the new Kintra sweater, I’m imaging so many great yarn combos! Ive applied for both and hope I get into one ❤. Gillian
You have gotten so much done in such a short period of time. To create all that while you also have a job unrelated to knitting is truly impressive. I am looking forward to seeing the test knits and your additional samples of your advent sweater. It is a design that seems like there are so many potential interpretations.
I don’t know why Rebecca…. I could knit along with your podcast all day! Is the cadence of your voice? Is the the familiar accent that I used to have? I don't know but it works for me 😂 Love your Kintra ❤ …so happy to see you so happy 😁 see you soon wave 👋
Another great podcast Rebecca, glad your are really settling into your new home. Particularly looking forward to the release of Kintra, as have never attempted colourwork - YET
Maybe I'm the odd one out, but I totally would have loved your logo to stay on the shirts! That way I could rep you! Kinda like visibly supporting a band with a band shirt. 😂 Really love the cream shirt and that design!! Also! That bright blue boucle is giving cookie monster vibes in the most beautiful way! I just want to squish it!!
Love the staffin vest. I went to the Isle of Skye for my birthday last year it’s such a magical place but a very long plane ride from Australia. I’ve applied for the test knit. I’ve got the perfect yarn in stash for it.
Another great podcast! I love all the texture in your staffin collection. The kintra is beautiful! I love the description of books on a shelf. I can't wait to see your next version of it with the jewel tones.❤🧶
The Kintra in fingering really appeals to me! Its a beautiful sweater and looks so fun to make 😍 Loved the vest as well so applied to them both! Im soon to be done with my current test knits and i really like it!
I watched your video while you were away and making the Kintra and I'm obsessed, love it! Looking forward to your merchandise going live - I have many comfort colors tees and they last a very very long time and most still have the printing on them so great choice. Congratulations on all your projects!
Ohhh I’m so excited to apply for the new test call! I just love the idea of color work with just stockinette! But if I’m not chosen I understand there is a lot of interest in this pattern. Rebecca, I would love to see your design process as well as the final decor of the design den! So far it looks really cool! If you’re going to Rhinebeck next year I’ve got to know as I would love to meet you there! I went once two years ago and had such a fun time! Take care, ClaudiaSJI
Wow, you are busy. Love hearing how much creativity is going on in your mind. I think that you had said you were working on a scarf/shawl pattern. Are you? If so, when will that launch?
I'm so excited to see a version of Kintra with 24 colours ! It's gonna be so pretty ! (With any chance I'll be chosen for the test knit and it'll be my version)
I feel you on the wanting to so texture 😅 I'm doing the salty days sweater by kutovakika and sailed through the body but as soon as I hit the ribbing I lost steam and cast something else on 😅 its taking all my will power not to bind it off too early and end up with a slightly cropped sweater! Absolutely love your Staffin patterns, the texture looks so fun, both to wear and to knit. Once it's out I'm looking forward to knitting up a v-neck cardigan.
I love my Uniqlo *thin* black turtleneck for wearing under knits and would heartily recommend! So bummed about the caps being cancelled as I was v excited to get my mitts on one, but I will dry my tears with a t-shirt LOL
The blue Cookie Monster yarn, Annijuuti knits has a cowl that is a half hood sort of knit... I love your designs!! I want the Staffin sweater ..and a VEST ... oh be still my heart. T-shirts are cute! Thank you. Please do keep that creative flow fed. Happy knitting. ttfn
Ahh unfortunately I don't have the time to do a testknit currently, but I am very much envisioning a Kintra but extending the colourwork to be all over. I'm half considering talking myself into applying anyway because of your generous testing time though....
I’m chuckling Rebecca…. You started off slow and paced and got faster and faster 😂. I have no problem with you speaking however you want to. You get excited, as well you should, about your knitting. Xx
You can slow down the rate at which you play x.75 or X2 which is faster, it's so hard to slow your speech and you really don't need to! another great show x
“Why wear knitting merch when you can just wear knitting?” 🗣️BC I LIVE IN SOCAL AND CAN ONLY WEAR WOOL 4 MONTHS OF THE YEAR I will absolutely be ON the website on the 30th😂😂
Your Kintra is gorgeous, might end up being my first foray into colourwork garments! I have a couple of recommendations for you for under-vest tops: Sea Salt Cornwall have a lot of good options and they tend to be 100% cotton so you don't get too hot. I have their Easel long-sleeve top in about 6 different colours now. They sometimes have an offer on where you can get 2 for £50 which I don't think is too bad for a 100% cotton B-corp brand. Also Kettlewell Colours, I have their silky rollneck, currently just in 1 colour as it's a bit pricey but I definitely have on my list to buy more! x
So I started watching on Saturday and realised there was something very wrong with my Nyx sweater. Stopped everything and finally realized I had swapped the contrast and main. Frogged a few rows and fixed and then did the same thing again! Pleased to say it is back on track, but I am carefully checking every round to make sure there are no more crazies.
Love the new shirts! So excited about them! Where do you get your book tees from? I’m a big reader and really want to get some but I never know if they’re going to be comfy or actually hold up over time.
New York Times Wirecutter (product reviews) rates the Comfort Colors t-shirts as an excellent choice. They are soft, comfortable, and hold up really well.
Would your colourwork sweater that you are doing the test knit for (Kintra?), work with a neutral background, similar to the one you have on, then a gradient yarn in a light/pale colour blend for the background colour, and a dark solid tonal, or preferably a dark gradient for the stripes? Yours is so pretty, and i would love to make one exactly like it in the same colours, but I have it in my head that I want to make a colourwork sweater using gradients.
Do you know a book that teaches top down knitting. I have never knitted like this but would like to try. Love your sweaters and your channel. Thank you
I just ordered a copy of "knitting from the top" by Barbara G Walker. I've only flicked through it but covers top-down construction in a very methodical way!
I don’t know if the complainers about your speech speed are aware of the fact they can change the speed of the video and make you sound as slow as they need you to be. Yes, Americans speak slower, but you’re not an American. There are also subtitles. Anyway, I have zero problems with your talking speed and I feel kind of bad that you feel like you have to keep apologizing for the speed every time.
aww, I definitely didn’t want to make you jealous and it’s not an off chance because I always watch your episodes, Rebecca! let’s hope we’ll both be able to to again next year ☺️

That fluff reminded me of Quality Streets when they were wrapped in the foil and clear film, gorgeous colours.
And here in coastal NC, we have many 70 degree (21 c) winter days.
But y couldn't u just use 4ply? For any patter? Y wait for the creator to do it

Best way to spend your time. Also chronic illness and watching this channel always makes me feel netter.😊

Me putting video on pause at minute 1:15 to thank you for trying slowing down your talk. No native speaker very grateful for this new commitment of yours😅
I love your patterns. The sweater you’re wearing is a beauty.
Love listening to your podcasts Rebecca. You have such a creative mind! Love the Staffin vest and the new Kintra sweater, I’m imaging so many great yarn combos! Ive applied for both and hope I get into one ❤. Gillian

Your t-shirts will be very welcome in our Australian summer. I love your podcast and designs.👩🌾🐑🐮
I’m amazed that most of your followers are American! I’m in America (Arkansas to be exact) and I love your creations! Carry on the great work 😊❤
Another great podcast Rebecca, glad your are really settling into your new home. Particularly looking forward to the release of Kintra, as have never attempted colourwork - YET
Love your vest! Glad it is knitted top down.
Maybe I'm the odd one out, but I totally would have loved your logo to stay on the shirts! That way I could rep you! Kinda like visibly supporting a band with a band shirt. 😂
Really love the cream shirt and that design!!
Also! That bright blue boucle is giving cookie monster vibes in the most beautiful way! I just want to squish it!!
wow!! those yoke colors are BEAUTIFUL, like a fire opal!
That's so cool!
I love that vest! Grass green also looks super nice with purple. Sounds weird but I was convinced by Trinny and it definitely works.
So excited for the Staffin vest. Should be perfect for the weather we have in Northern California.
Love the staffin vest. I went to the Isle of Skye for my birthday last year it’s such a magical place but a very long plane ride from Australia. I’ve applied for the test knit. I’ve got the perfect yarn in stash for it.
❤❤❤ Thanks so much for a great podcast. I’m excited about your upcoming patterns. Can’t wait to knit them.

Ooooh no pressure but.. I would LOVE a staffin vest v-neck option
Hey Rebecca! i love your designs. Ok its not in real life but there you go :) Soon swatching for Kerr :D
Also grabbed my tee on wednesday and hoping it may arrive today. Exciting!
Ohhh I’m so excited to apply for the new test call! I just love the idea of color work with just stockinette! But if I’m not chosen I understand there is a lot of interest in this pattern. Trust the dyer! Keep the orange and pink in. You need some different colors in there. There's an orange pop in the one you knit on holiday...
I love that perspective! They do tell a complete story.
Wow, you are busy. Love hearing how much creativity is going on in your mind. I think that you had said you were working on a scarf/shawl pattern. Are you? If so, when will that launch?
It's taking all my self control not to apply for the Kintra cause it's so beautiful 😍 But I am def looking forward to its release come winter!
Same!!!
I'm so excited to see a version of Kintra with 24 colours ! It's gonna be so pretty ! (With any chance I'll be chosen for the test knit and it'll be my version)
My favourite merino turtlenecks are from uncle phuncle
Hiiighly recommend

Oooooh, I so wish I could commit to a test knit right now, I love everything you're coming out with!
Really enjoyed this. Congratulations on the two new patterns. I’d find it interesting if you ever did a video on how you plan your pattern releases.
I've been looking for a nice pattern for all my single skeins of blue Peer Gynt and Kintra is PERFECT 🥰
Happy knitting. ttfn
Oh that sounds like the perfect thing!
That Nyx sweater is fabulous. My very first thought was colorwork in boucle.
Ahh unfortunately I don't have the time to do a testknit currently, but I am very much envisioning a Kintra but extending the colourwork to be all over. I'm half considering talking myself into applying anyway because of your generous testing time though....
Jasmine Eucalan is my favorite, too! I’d love to test that vest, but it looks like I’m too late 😢
I’m chuckling Rebecca…. You started off slow and paced and got faster and faster 😂. I have no problem with you speaking however you want to. You get excited, as well you should, about your knitting. Xx
Maybe I need to put in some 'breather' checkpoints for myself to take a breath and slow down. Oops!
@@the.creabea nooo. Just be you xx
You can slow down the rate at which you play x.75 or X2 which is faster, it's so hard to slow your speech and you really don't need to! another great show x
Love how good your Kintra looks on you. 😍
“Why wear knitting merch when you can just wear knitting?” 🗣️BC I LIVE IN SOCAL AND CAN ONLY WEAR WOOL 4 MONTHS OF THE YEAR I will absolutely be ON the website on the 30th😂😂
HAHAHA okay now I feel validated
Congrats.... 🤞Hope for a test knit woth you🤞
Love both the vest and new sweater and want to knit both. You are so productive! Do you still have a full-time job outside of knitting?
Love your new designs maybe you could try M&S or even cotton trader for turtle neck….not high fashion but good for basic. 😊
Your Kintra is gorgeous, might end up being my first foray into colourwork garments! I have a couple of recommendations for you for under-vest tops: Sea Salt Cornwall have a lot of good options and they tend to be 100% cotton so you don't get too hot. M&S have long sleeve turtle neck thermal tops in black😊 - might be worth checking them out. At least you can be pretty sure of sizing!
Love what you’re wearing!
I really love your vest - could see it as a sleeveless top worked in a summer yarn. 🤔
That would be so cute!
Love the new T-shirts!! Any chance they will also appears as totes? I love a tote bag....
If you are going to consider different tshirt options, maybe a long sleeve option the same as the short sleeve.
Love your podcast - you are way too cute! Great designs!
Love the new shirts! So excited about them! Where do you get your book tees from? I’m a big reader and really want to get some but I never know if they’re going to be comfy or actually hold up over time.
Bookbabe designs! I don't think they have any right now but they usually drop designs every 6-8 weeks.
New York Times Wirecutter (product reviews) rates the Comfort Colors t-shirts as an excellent choice. They are soft, comfortable, and hold up really well.
Oh nice! I've only heard good things from others too and they're definitely my favourite.
Your designs are Scrummy ❤
My cat’s name is Nyx, I’m so excited to knit the Nyx sweater!
That's so cute!!
It would kind of look like picket fences or trellises with a sunset behind, in my mind.
Rebecca, would a chart to test color combinations for the Kintra be helpful? I'd be happy to help make one if yes!
There's a chart in the pattern! I think it will have options to colour in the ones you want as well as the fixed chart.
Inga did indeed mention your shirt on her podcast when she received it. -Lola T
Do you know a book that teaches top down knitting. I have never knitted like this but would like to try. Love your sweaters and your channel. Thank you
I just ordered a copy of "knitting from the top" by Barbara G Walker. I've only flicked through it but covers top-down construction in a very methodical way!
Thank you will have a look at that
Where do we buy these color work kits for your yoked sweater?
Hey girlll the audio is blowing out quite a bit also noticed in the last video! Wonder if it’s your camera mic?
Oh weird, I think it might be the echo in my new room. I've got plans for better sound so let me see if I can move them up before the next podcast!
October 30th is on Wednesday, but I thought I heard you say November 30 for the tees which is on a Friday?
They'll be available from October 30th to November 30th.
Do we have to wait 14 weeks for this sweater 😢😅
Second time’s the charm, I hope.
I applied to knit the vest but never got a response
Everyone got an email on October 31st! Maybe check spam?
@ not in spam. This isn’t the first time- I’ve gotten emails from you before as I have applied several times for other test knits
I don’t know if the complainers about your speech speed are aware of the fact they can change the speed of the video and make you sound as slow as they need you to be. Yes, Americans speak slower, but you’re not an American. There are also subtitles.
