I bought a Olympia Tools Turbofold about 5 years ago.I liked it so much I bought 3 more in case they stop making them.I use it everyday ,all day ,I haven't had to open one of the new ones yet.I see new knives come out all the time ,I have never for a second thought about replacing it with something else nor would I if I lost one,by far they are built better than anything I've ever owned.

The plastic is fine, strong and light, pistols are made with plastic frames and hold up for many thousands of rounds. Ill take the lightweight plastic covers all day.

low weight is very important , weights from all the tools in my pockets (holsters) adds up. and for casual use, i am leaving behind a pocket knife that is too heavy.

Ive owned them all over the years. This is the tool I use the most. Everyday. It takes the most abuse and gets lost the most. I use the tool shop version. After week or so it breaks in and will fast open/close. Its also cheap and Menards will give you a new one when it breaks. Plus its thin and short. I hate how long the fastback is.

I have used the original fastback since it came out. I have busted two of the clips which milwaukee just sends me two brand new fastbacks as replacements. Other than that I have had to tighten the screws over time since I have used it as a hammer sometimes. I just picked up the newer one that holds 5 extra blades. It is the best of them all. I take it out and use it all day long. Everything is perfect on it and holding 4 more extra blades is even better.

Milwaukee and Ryobi are both owned by a Chinese company called Techtronic.
I noticed that the Hart inflator looks a lot like the Ryobi inflator and now I see the Hart box cutter looks a lot like the Milwaukee one.
I'd bet that Techtronic owns Hart as well.

I'm a fast back 2 guy now just for the simple fact of the blade storage, but I'm thinking of making the switch to the one with the screw driver because I will be able to get rid of a tool in my bags to look lighten the load, I'm a union concrete carpenter so I'm always climbing walls and columns and need a lot of different tools, so if I can get tools with multiple functions that will cut down on my weight

THE BLACK COBALT AT LOWES IS ALOT BETTER. YOU SHOULD CHECK IT OUT. YOU CAN'T MISS IT IT'S THE ONLY ALL BLACK QUICK RELEASE BOX CUTTER THEY HAVE. AS FAR AS EXTRA BLADES THEY MAKE PLASTIC BLADE CASES THAT HOLD 10 TO 12 EXTRA BLADES, AND YOU CAN'T EVEN TELL IT'S IN YOUR POCKET. THE CASE IS MADE TO THE EXACT WIDTH AND LENGTH OF THE BLADES SO IT'S REALLY SMALL. IT WON'T BOTHER YOU AT ALL.

You guys mostly just covered ease of open/close but not about the how securely they held the blades. The Hart can't be considered very safe if there is no feature to keep it closed and it can just open on its own. The Doyle is great though
The Stanley Quickslide Sport 2 blade knife is my favorite utility folder, and has better reviews than any knife you featured. The cheap but light black $10 Kobalt speed release you can find at Lowe's is great if you want lightweight and the easiest I've found to open and close. Fiskars makes a great folder that is the most ergonomic and also reliable. One of the FantastiCAR utility knives on Amazon is rated very highly and has no plastic parts. The Craftsman folding knife with walnut handle is heavy but has no weakness and is easy to open/close. Channelock makes 3 different folding utility knives that are all great and reliable. Swiss+Tech has the best 2 knife set on Amazon that is the best bang for your buck, and one is a great folder and the other retractable. The MFIROZ on Amazon is all stainless and only $8, and is also a favorite of mine.

Just got the brand new milwaukee fastback, it's perfect! Been using the same basic $5 husky utility for a decade, and always waiting for something better, but nothing, not even the other fastbacks, fit the bill. This one is the shit!
Not bulky, yet has a useful reversible screw driver, BOTTLE OPENER, and room for an extra blade. No need for a bunch of extra blades, which makes it too bulky. Easy to change the blade. The bearing is great, for easy open and close. They nailed it.

To do a proper test to see if the handle is metal or plastic, you need to do the hot pin test. Heat up a pin with a match, lighter or something and put the hot pin onto the handle. If it gives off smoke it's plastic. If it looks like metal, it could be Aluminium or probably cast Magnesium which is what most of these type of handles are made from.
