Thanks for always making videos on this amazing game; I know it’s got issues but you and all the content creators for it is what keeps me playing and having fun
It's great to see you playing so many khajiits. I started playing in Europe just to have an account that is half khajiits and half imperials. I love how you end your videos, I'd never question your mother's belief in her son.
@@ACyoutube209 I'd do deadly/runecarver on an oakensoul build. Beam procs runecarver so you beam gives 1 runecarver proc per second by itself. Not including the other dots you would have proccing it as well
Thanks for the vid Deltia. You should try making a build that is a bit more traditional for people not interested in beaming. Aka using the Spammable, DoTs and the Crux spending Tentacle every 2-3 casts. Looks like it could be a ton of fun and play similar to the old 3s Warden scorch rotation. More content 💗
There's honestly no need for a set to give that when there's already the Razor Caltrops skill that can do it. It's much better to source something like major breach from one single skill rather than wasting an entire set for it.
@@candyhandsjf7288 Also... There is a set. Night Mothers Gaze. It hasn't been used in like 7 years because it's redundant. 1 skill beats an entire set.
Recuperative "Treat-see". Great video! I've set myself up for an Oakensoul Stam build, armor, enchants, foods, etc ... but you've got me thinking maybe a 2 bar build might be more fun with a greater choice of options. With all the cool skills the Arcanist has, it would be a shame to limit them to just a few. Thanks!
@@Deltiasgaming yesss! Want to see that. On PTS *before the flail change* I felt pretty squish even with Oaken so I used Pale Order instead & that was ok.
Not interested in the new Class but I am one thousand percent happy that people get to try out a new class this expansion. Me, I'm waiting for the companions and the new zone quests. We all win.
Hey !! thanks for this in depth build ! :D just one remark though, i don't think flail benefits from deadly strike set, it's not a channeled ability, it just has a cast time. :)
out of the last 8 years of updates, I can already see, anything good about this class will be nerfed to weapon skills and non class abilities within two updates. The Devs don't play this game unless they are on the clock, the CEO's of ZOS don't play video games at all, and odds are hate people that play video games.
Great video, thanks so much! I wonder though, how are you handling light-attack-weaving with dual wield, since the important skills are ranged? Or do you just use dual wield on the front bar for the passives and kinda not care about the light attacks?
I just started mine a few days ago, so take it for what it's worth. The main focus is on keeping the beam up with full crux as much as possible. This isn't a light attack weaving class, although I'm sure someone will shoehorn it. I have bad wrists from carpal tunnel and high apm LAW builds are just not possible for me. I've been hoping for a play style like this for a long time and I love it so far. The changes to Bow passives next patch seem like they will make it a much better option than currently, the bonuses for range will apply to all skills and not just bow skills. I plan to try it out soon.
Could you start explaining CP progression rather than an unordered list for future builds? I have over a thousand CP and yet still struggle to reach some of the nodes you recommend
Is there a comprehensive list of what skills fall into what brackets and what sets buff them? I have played the game for a long time but often get confused with what often seems like mixed terminology; e.g. direct aoes. Something like unstable wall is an aoe but also ticks, so it's a dot?
@gmackg I think ESO-Hub has a list. But a brief summary is there is either Single Target or AOE skills, and either direct damage or DOT. Abilities that affect one target only are single target, abilities that hit multiple in an area are aoe. Damage that shows up as white text or yellow crits are direct damage. Damage that shows up as smaller orange text is DOT damage.
@IronWill161 Thanks that's really helpful. So a shock staff heavy does dot dmg until the final "pop" which is single target, which will be yellow if crit. Blockade also ticks as dot. So Deadly should boost both of these?
@gmackg Deadly will buff blockade for sure. I am not certain it buffs any portion of a shock heavy attack. While the channeled portion of the shock heavy attack is dot damage, Deadly Strike says it buffs channeled and dot ABILITIES. A heavy attack is not an ability unfortunately
I’m wondering if Imperial might be the best all around choice for this class if swapping from pve to pvp. Is the sustain tough? But after looking at how the build works, high elf might be the top (all around) race based on helpful passives, even useful as a tank.
It's honestly not the best in any category currently. Maybe tank/healer its up there, but Mag Sorc will still probably be top of the leaderboards. It's also not gonna parse high or do crazy group DPS like the DK. I don't think so, but what do I know.
My stamina arcanist build takes forever to build stamina back up and looses Health very fast. I've gotton killed by lvl 20 necro. My arcanist is champ lvl 98
I feel like this class isn't as easy as they implied during the release. Still specific mechanics and a rhythm needed to get a solid playstyle. It's like they mentioned that to avoid scaring away new profit, I mean players...
After playing for several weeks it's a lot easier to get end-game performance from the arcanist than the other classes. Having to aim shouldn't be an issue for most gamers but if it is just stick with the trusty heavy attack oaken 🙂
Thank you for the video going to be using this as a guide when I build mine on the 20th. What would be the pros and cons of picking Stamina or picking Magicka as your main stat?
"Arcanist Destroys Everything" The betting window is now open on how long until eso turn coats and destroys this carot to buy the dlc? Minimally its simply an advertisement ploy all the while knowing they will nerf the crap out of it to make way for the next "chapter" Overpower then nerf and on and on ..wakey wakey peeps!
The Arcanist may be a nosebleed class now. But let's not forget what ZOS does. Over the course of time, the Arcanist will get nerfed into obscurity just like the Necro class did. Other examples are Oakensoul ring.
Considering the class is already subpar compared to many other classes, I doubt it will get nerfed anytime soon. It needs a SERIOUS buff to compete with other classes, which will be quite evident at launch and finally go head-to-head on leaderboards.
There's a reason he is one of the better content creators for eso builds. He chaptered each important talking point so you can skip to what you need then click scan to the part you want. Maybe a shooter or something with instant gratification(OH A SHINEY!) is what you a looking for.
I wish people would stop saying this because Oakensoul DID NOT get a nerf, "Empower" received an insignificant reduction, that even HA builds will not even notice. However, not everyone uses Oakensoul for HA builds, so the Empower nerf will not even impact them whatsoever. People running around saying "Oakensoul nerf" was just Deltia's "click bait" headline, but not factual. The proper headline should have been, "Empower was nerfed which may slightly impact Oakensoul HA builds".
I just have to say, maybe yall should test more before making videos about how garbage arcanist is in pve and pvp cause like nearly every creator I see bad mouthed it as bad in the first video or 2 only to praise it days or weeks later once some theory crafting has taken place.
I think you're a little bit confused. When it was initially released in PTS it was underwhelming. But they buffed it up in the last few weeks of the PTS so it will be a little bit more dominant when it releases. The original negative feedback was for the developers to take action so they can buff the class up, which is what they've done and will likely continue to do as they make adjustments going forward.
