Its got a better turn rate by a small amount and higher streight speed. Took it out in a 5.7 match as escort for a friend. 410 jumped us when low running to base. I was outturning him when i started at the same speed as the b17 but the 410 crashed so i never got the kill sadly.
The P-40E is still my favorite aircraft in game, and does perform better down low with better climb rate, acceleration and maneuverability but the P-40F is still a great aircraft and doesn't lose its performance like the P-40E does above 15,000 ft. Great to see you fly it Jengar.
soulja boy yeah they are definitely stronger but i still think it's much better now than it was before. A good allied team should still be able win, unlike before when it was extremely difficult to beat allied teams regardless of how good the opposing team was
Funny thing is the US army never called it 'Kittyhawk'. "P-40 Warhawk was the name the United States Army Air Corps and after June 1941, USAAF-adopted name for all models, making it the offical name in the U.S. for all P-40s."
German teams are strong? Finally when P-47 airspawn was removed is game fair!!!! Games with Bf109 G-6 were pretty unfair when I made side climbing as crazy and there was always some Thunderbolt 2000 metres above me. It´s such funny how often allied teams loosing now when they don´t have P-47 which have airspawn.
To be fair, the german teams used P-47s as well. About half my matches flying allied planes in that BR range had 50%+ american (guess which) planes on german teams =p
Yes it´s bull*hit when you flying with A6M5 and against you is russian team which is composed by premium aircrafts 75% of that team have P-47, P-63, P-39. Japanese planes are nerfed as hell almost all Japanese planes at BR 3.7 - 4.7 fly with max speed 498 km/h and you must fight planes like I-185 and P-51 D30 ...... really cool.
Michael_Jn somehow it is the fault of players, gaijin balances for performance and americans constantly turnfight thats why zeroes are high and p51 and 47 is low
Impressive.. Nice plane indeed and with it's .50 cal derp canons it may be pretty effective on this BR. Btw canon buff confirmed while flying F8F just one or two hits are mostly enough to send the red one back to hangar 🙂
The cannon after 1.79 was really good. Then there was a small update which is 100MB. And now japanese 20mm and russian 20mm seem not working. I don't know why Edit: it happen to Hispano too
Doing the stock grind on this, finding it to be very stiff and unwilling to evade anything. Side climbing is almost not possible at that BR, as most American players in this BR range refuse to climb, which leads to one-sided fights by the time you can get any comfortable altitude. Always finding packs of 2-3 BF109/BF110s well above me by the time I get anywhere near a fight. Maybe it will get better when spaded, but I find the drop-off from the E to the F to be very disappointing at present.
The P-40 isn't called Kittyhawk, but Warhawk instead. The RAF called it Kittyhawk, because they called previous P-40's Kittyhawk too, because those were called Kittyhawk officially (by Curtiss).
That's right, I made a mistake. Early P-40's were called Tomahawks too and the P-40 was called both Kittyhawk and Tomahawk. In general Curtiss just called them Hawk and different countries just came up with their own names for different variants.
You wonder why german/italian teams have been so good 2018-2019? those crazy buffs on axis high caliber weapons. A single shot from 800 m should not snipe a tail off.
@@jengar6258 You would think, but in my recent experience hispanos and the japanese 20mms take quite the burst to bring down a plane, where as it takes only 1 minengeschoss to take off the tail of a single P47.

Earlier today flew with some friends in a squad with b25's. Managed to get a kill against a 4.0 but got caught by 4 other players. Recently i have to admit ive had many games flying the b17 where american/allied teams are getting completely destroyed. Leaving me alove with 3/4ths of the enemy team still alive. Its getting kind of rediculous.
Looks like the typical American/Allied team plagued you with the zero help that match, not like you needed it in the first place. Even in that 2v1 dogfight you would have had both of them if the 202EC didn't lucky shot your tail off. Can't wait for the IAR 81c review. My first game didn't go smoothly, but it seems she doesn't do altitude well. Look out for her early lock up if you do decide to climb.
Maybe i'm wrong, but 50.cals are maybe reduced a little bit, but not sure. And yeah, german teams are very strong at the moment, if you want to win, fly with the germans.
I am not enjoying air RB at the moment. I try to side climb and get some tactical position,but 7 of my 11 matches today ended up with my team just running in the middle against bf109 that were higher, so by the time I was high enough the whole team was dead. Guys if you playing Americans just side climb
I'm sorry but you're wrong. The new p40 is absolutely wrong, is undersized, does not hit well, is poor compared to the two old p40s. this time you were wrong with the big mate :)
Well damn Gaijin, I guess we should complain in the forums and have Gaijin once again nerf the shit out of the German planes if they are just too damn strong now.

more effect on bigger calibers is noticible :)
The p40e has a new cockpit(which looks totally amazing, like the p47 got a new one too), the p40f got the old on of the E.

F has a low-alt rated Merlin and a longer fuselage. Ingame, it is faster, but climbs worse.

it was all the 20mm calibers and bigger on all nations that were fixed if i remember correctly, wasnt it?

From my experience its good at 1v1 but against two aircraft it suffers slightly. Low altitude its great against german aircraft.

My strategy: If my US teammates don't climb, I switch to ground battles and/or another nation.
Allied teams in a nutshell. At least most of the time
This isn't just a US team issue. I fly primarily Japan in RB and the exact same thing happens.
I play the Japanese sometimes and...more often than not, Americans don't climb and get slaughtered by us. (BR 4.7 - 5.0, ARB)
challenge then becomes to turn the match around, which will make you a better pilot :)
German planes have got some unnerfing.
