remember when kerbals die they come pack in one hour, most likely remembering before they die. so they are in an infinite death loop that will outlive the universe
I get the feeling that dres is slowly taking over the Heff Mk2 cinematic universe, and with every banishment to the center of the sun it grows stronger, until it becomes the ultimate final boss for heff to conquer
What if one day, the entire Kerbol system turned into Dres. The Sun was a giant Dres, every planet was Dres adjusted to fit the size of the planet it replaced, and every moon was a shrunken Dres. And also the KSC is located on the original Dres.
Best planet pack in my opinion. Especially the "updated" version that can be found in the original mod thread (cuz it has the original leouch with the dense soup atmosfere and the giant crack at the equator which is very fun)
Good old times! This was in 1.0.4, where the radiators were not as high quality as in 1.2. As you can see, my craft, even with a huge number of radiators, was red hot, and I limited burns to prevent overheating of scientific parts. At first I made an unsuccessful craft with a traditional cabin on top, and therefore did not have time to place the flag, which is why I completely remade it. Without an umbrella, Kerbals quickly die, and under an umbrella they could live for only 7 seconds; I was able to record the raising of the flag on the twentieth attempt, no less. th-cam.com/video/nCPTEgoBIO4/w-d-xo.html But in general, a much greater challenge is the flight to Etal and back, and most likely it is impossible to leave Titan.
You've really gotta try Quackpack by Lt. Duckweed as it's similar in that it has a planet called Cind stupid close to the sun (as in I mean 1/3rd the distance as Ernus I am not kidding). Has a couple other bodies aswell which are sorta challenges in of themselves
@@luca1Ciao It's actually surprisingly not bad at all. It's more of just a pain to get to. The planet has a 0.19atm pressure 100km atmosphere which makes landing surprisingly easy and there are spots on the night side where the temperature is tolerable enough for a kerbal to (probably) plant a flag and get back inside without being immediately incinerated. There are plenty of parts in the game which can handily survive that close to the sun without any exploits so it's very much doable
Yess I love that pack, though it does reduce solar heating, which is a requirement because a stock KSP bug makes the sun exponentially hotter as you get closer, so without that fix you'd only be able to get near using aero shielding exploits and such.
also i didnt realize this before but you could just turn up the ambient light boost in settings a bit so that you dont have to pump up the gamma of the video
Please note that your warranty on The Lizardyne Corporation's patent pending nuclear engines does not cover extreme temperatures and the engines may cause a large scale fusion explosion in space due to the early, primal like casing that covers the core.
Just wantcha to know, these videos are amazing, and genuinely, i would heavily enjoy it if you kept makeing them! Also, maybe do somwthing inter steller travel! Too few youtubers who are genuinely entertaining as you do the interstellar planet packs! And i would love to see how you tackle interstellar travel, along with trying to land on said interstellar planets!
Ernus may seem bad, but it’s nowhere near Cind (from the Quackpack mod) difficulty On Cind, Kerbals can’t even take the heat for more than 2 minutes (on the dark side!!) and it’s even closer to Kerbol than Ernus is, by a not insignificant margin
A little suggestion, that would be great if you do an advanced tutorial/course on KSP with your style. There is plenty of tutorials about basic stuff, and the more advanced tutorials are so boring that I fall asleep mid video. Basically, how did you plan this mission ? What tools did you used if you used any ? How were you so accurate on the fuel and refuel needed ? What the fuck is an injection burn ?
Pro tip: leave the ISRU in orbit and haul ore to it. Not only does this spare you the weight of the ISRU, but also, 1kg of ore produces >1kg Lqd fuel + Ox 😊
2:05 “stinky version” yes, the thumbnail looks stinky, straight out of a youtube kids thumbnail, i mean, look at the different color filters and languages.
I guessed 17 landings and I already play world of tanks. I demand my rightful consolation dividend!
Your warranty on c7 parts does not cover solar radiation btw
Or high speed impacts and atmospheric use
Does it cover Jeb dropping a nuke on the parts?

One day he must face the Dres challenge, a Kerbin-Dres round trip in 30x scale.

I remember watching that 8 years old Ernus landing, but only now i fully understand how hard it is
honestly just using the brute force method like that mission did probably would have been easier, but the Moho bit made it more interesting imo
That my summer car reference was exquisite
oh great! now ill have to watch the video again to find it >:(
