Attempting to Go Interstellar with Stock Parts...

- please do not try this yourself, it's not worth it. All I've accomplished is wasting 1400 years and having a very vengeful kerbal far far away
Mod used is the Kcalbeloh System planet pack, which you can check out here:

it was painful to go interstellar using near future parts
i can only imagine your suffering
ehh wasn't too bad
@@heffmarktwo Imagine doing this with stock parts in Real Exoplanets
It two-and-a-half years to go interstellar and back with a super overclocked ion engine (1 km/s for every millisecond on)
@@heffmarktwo now do it with a life support mod on
@@heffmarktwo The real kerbal way to do it would be a mass driver, but still impressive.
The balck hole fall with the oppenheimer soundtrack was genuinely beautiful
sugar kerman would rather fall into a black hole instead of staying in space for 50+ years
and it was 1000 years
Sugar achieved 2% the speed of light
what a tonal shift, damn, straight from the complete despair of eternal isolation straight back to dank memes, i love it
Why. Why do you torture yourself?
wdym it wasn't even that hard
@@heffmarktwostep one: build rocket
Step two: get 50 jool gravity assists
@@oulajuusola5093step 3 : you steal energy from jool so much the planet stopped
@@SteelRider Step 4: steal hydrogen from the sun until it runs out
@@AzyraasrStep 5: Steal energy from nearby planets, including atmospheres
400 years of travel time on ion engines only is preaty impressive not gona lie , considering that Kcalbeloh is 2 kerbal light years away ( not mentioning correction burn to Efil )
i need another video to explain that correction burn that took 1400 years. i didn't got it lol
@@v44n7Well, the Problem he had when trying to get to Efil was that the orbital inclination was Way too high, so If He Had gone straight to Efil he would have hitted the atmosphere at deadly speeds (Maybe going into the 50.000 m/s, who knows) since both the Ship and the star system where going at different directions.
The stellar Gravity assist slowed the Ship down and sent it outside the sphere of influence (SOI) of the star and back to the SOI of the black Hole, however it was now orbiting the thing, then he corrected the orbit yet again to get another encounter with the star he just left, but this time the inclination was way better and the ship was going way slower.
After that he just needed to wait to actually get to the star again and intercept the Efil while in a good angle (Otherwise he would end up going 20.000 m/s into the atmosphere as It happened in the first attempt), the encounter with the star took about 1000 years (Since the orbit around Kcalbeloh is absolutely massive).
That's what i think it happened, english isn't My native language, so apologies If i messed a Word up.
BABE WAKE UP NEW HEFF MK2 VIDEO DROPPED (lets fucking goooo)
WOOOOO YEAAAA
That "its just blackhole but backwards" thing isn't just limited to the titular Kcalbeloh, a lot of the other bodies in that mod do the same thing. My favorite is the planet that is literally just naptha but backwards.
I realized that too, originally I was going to talk about it more in the video but I cut it out. Makes sense though, when I first got the mod I was like “did a monkey name these planets by banging his head on a keyboard?”
Arorua
@@tonnynguyen390Doubtful?!
Sugar Kerman is gone. Her body is still here, still moving, but she is gone.
7:37 this part was so unexpectedly beautiful
The black hole ending was truly something to behold. At the very least it was entirely voluntary and didn't destroy a spaceship someone would spend around 6 hours designing and an additional 6 hours constructing in orbit. Bravo
Next time do this with life support
7:39 “COPPER WHAT ARE YOU DOING??”
3:58 sugar kerman lost her hair
8:56 bro was going the speed of light in kerbal universe
YEESSSSSS! Thank you for this video! I was so Hyped for a video like this! Thanks for it! Maybe in the future we could see a video on actually going to each of the planets, actually utlizeing FTL parts if it suits you!
Seconded.
8:35 I thought bro was leaving the black hole.
i wake up in the morning i got ksp on my mind
That edit near the end was great, I love this channel please never stop uploading!
I did this too actually. I did a full colony ship with shuttles and everything. I also had opm installed. Yes, It was as much of a nightmare as you might imagine... 😢 plus I didn't use the kerbol slingshot, as I didn't know it was possible at the time. It took me over 6000 years 💀
💀
I considered doing that but thought better of it
the surprise jschlatt my way attack was incredible
Wasn't Expecting The Video to Be this Good amazing jod You Got a Sub❤❤️
poor Sugar Kerman had to suffer because of the R&D's laziness to research cryogenics. R.I.P Sugar Kerman's Psychological health
Him at the Start: "This little maneuver is gonna cost us 51 years!"
you should send a rescue mission or a base to SAVE THE KERBAL!!!
get the Blunderbirds on it
@@CalSN20 ON A LONELY- wait.. they're stranded WHERE?
@@CalSN20YES!
After a mere 415 years she got certain death too! Incredible!
I SCRAMBLE to get to these videos whenever you upload, thank you sir
When the world needed him most...
he appeared
also hi heff :)
The moment you hear the lethal company music you know its going to be a long ride
I love this channel, it's like from another time period. Please never improve any further. buy shittier mic. more ms paint.
Well god damn it i had this idea 😭🙏
do it anyways, I won’t sue you
bro aint never coming back from that
Nice vid man :)
This is the first video I've watched from this dude, and I am already subscribed
Something tells me this isn’t the last time we’re seeing sugar…
Sugar Kerman's hair change during the video?
Amazing Video!
Hi Heff. I love your videos, and btw i like the long videos, but you do whatever, no hate
We need a part 2 where sugar gets a friend (or possibly partner?) to talk to
Landing on a planet with the SpaceEngine OST playing in the background is something else.
I uh….
Got a HEFF dream. It happened.
I think you were sending crew to… a… Dres? Somehow?
I’m not even joking, somehow my sleepy brain came up with the line:
“It’d be a shame if I sent them to a planet with one visual detail, and it’d be hard to drive a rover on…”
The psychological horror skit with the Lethal Company music was actually pretty good. Imagine being forced to exist alone and completely without hope for centuries in the blank void of space, only to get dropped into a black hole, and even then, death won't claim you. Relativity pulls at time the further and faster you go. You hurtle towards the singularity, every moment of agony becoming an eon, every scream being stretched a billion years long. Eventually you lose all concept of being anything other than an infinite source of suffering, so embedded within the experience of the pain that you may as well be the source of it all. You'll outlast the universe and everything in it, unable to die, but incapable of ever again being considered alive.
In the end, nothing can escape, not even light. Certainly not you.
Well told, but the physical processes of your thoughts would slow at the same rate as your aging. Eventually, you could look up and watch the pinwheeling of galaxies, the births and deaths of stars, the star-scattering, star-igniting cloud dances that are the collisions of galaxies. You'd enter and leave galactic clusters! You'd witness the births of galaxies!
And you'd see it all... alone.
Heff genuinely is keeping KSP fresh and fun for modern day KSP. I'm not even joking.
Man this guy accidentally made me cry in that black hole scene
kerbinheimer
Heff MK2 is the Doshdoshington of KSP. If you know, you know.
HE HAS RETURNED!! LETS FUCKING GOOOO!!!!!
Great vid man, love the name of the ship 👍
Nothing:
Absolute nothing:
Also a keebonaut in the rocket:😀 [ 8:24 ]
8:39
This is actually amazing well done
Laughed while watching, 10/10 great video.
Did the calcuations on that speed at 9:17 when the craft exploded. You were going at 10% the speed of light. Or if you want the entire number. it would be | 0.10146778609 The Speed of Light. Or 10.14% The Speed of light
REALLY Fast when going into that black hole.
In kerbal terms that would be lightspeed
Bro the JSCHLATT COVER had me rolling
Rip sugar Kerman.
Just wanted to be the first woman to set foot in another star system
You know that there is a wormhole at jool
i literally said that I removed it in the video

edit: and now i’m close to tears after the black hole goddamn this is an experience
that was so good, i loved entering the black hole
A lucky shot from the kerbal krusher 9000 could've sent her at C^6.07693e17 and she would've gotten there pretty darn quick.
Games always underestimate ion engines
ahh i like when i go to space in a dino nugget powered spacecraft
What if sugar Kerman after going 1400 years in a tin can went god mode and killed Bob
im not kidding "here i go again" is my moms ringtone
just dropping into the black hole for the meme matches sugar kerman's mental state anyway. at least she's at peace now... oh wait...
7:37 FOR THE MEME!!!
poor sugar kerman
2:08
*WHEEZE*
7:50 such a beautiful shot
trisolaris moment
Wait a minute… turbo pumped did this like, a bazillion years ago, just without the planet pack…
Now do a colony ship by constructing it in orbit and attaching thrusters in orbit to it.
That would be really cool, try land on the habitable planet
Use near-future but not warp drive if possible.
Thanks
The videos haven't been getting too long.
this is peak ksp
The black hole part went insane
this deserves more views, likes and subscribers
I accidentally went interstellar trying to launch a Sputnik replica.. I took a 2 month break.
Now do a rescue mission for Sugar
7:40 wrong Christopher Nolan movie but still funny
Why does this remind me of spaceman... I have a great idea 😈
the first picture is literally my desktop background
√-PAIN
now do a rescue mission
Epic video for real very epic i loved it
That black hole sequence was nice, but not as nice as the planet Dres
You see this is why you send a replika *and* a gestalt on interstellar missions.
*DO NOT*
Gotta love some whitesnake ;)
hell ye, space engine music
This is insane
At least Sugar got a happy ending... i think?
TH-cam with actual music?
Nah bro recreated interstellar when dropping into the blackhole💀
105km/s is slow compared to how fast I managed to push something. I managed to push something to a whole 3,000km/s. 3 million m/s. About 1% light speed.
well kerbals do speak Reverse Spanish
HAHA THE SCHLATT COVER-
cool idea
*looks at channel name* What happened to the first Heff?
interstellar but we runout of budget
W video, real soul
