I know you are super busy but I wanted to say thanks for your videos! They helped me so much so far. I have a brand new rebuild (cases, bottom end, top end, carbs, powder coat...etc) and I have a coolant leak on the bottom of the case. Looks like it comes from the nut on the bottom. I replaced the water pump (impeller, seals, etc) all new seals on the top and bottom end as well. It is also getting into the combustion chamber but I put a brand new head gasket, factory part, and prepped the heads with a piece of glass and sand paper to get a good finish. What am I missing? This is super frustrating and thanks if you can offer any insight...
Hey Kevin do stock banshee pipes have a weep hole and the bottle by the stinger? My bike is spray a water out of it on the right pipe I’m dumb founded, it’s not coming out the end of tail pipe just a little weep hole right and the end of muffler on bottom
Would you do a video showing the upper shock mount being modified for YFZ 450 shocks or whether the amount of material needed to be removed is enough to substantially weakened the upper shock mount?
Can you make a video about high rev idle, I’m having that issue and I know a lot of other people dealing with the same issue. It will stop with the choke on but revs high with the choke off. None of the adjustments help either.
I did a compression test was 125 both sides did a leak down test with 5 psi went down to 4 1/2 in 5 minutes while taking out my left side exhaust noticed coolant in there I have a cool head installed assuming it’s my O ring that is bad can someone confirm ? The bike doesn’t start when it did it was very hard to start a few 1000s kicks lol
Hi. I am new to banshees and 2 strokes in general. I have a very serious question i was actually looking on here if you had a phone number i could call you on. (Wasnt sure if you had your business info on here or not) This is going to be a long winded comment so I apologize but i have had no luck anywhere else. Here goes, i have a 95 banshee. It is relatively stock I believe. It does have toomey pipes on it. Ive had numerous issues so far but the biggest one i am having now. Is that my left cylinder (fuel petcock side) is blowing ALOT of what i think is fuel and oil out of the exhaust. My rubber exhaust connection piece is ripped just after the expansion pipe and it is basically spraying fuel and oil out constantly. I did rebuild the carbs and it did not change this. I also checked the floats according to your video on that as well no luck. There is spark to each cylinder. The cylinder that is blowing fuel out the exhaust is still firing as there is smoke coming from the pipe and it does have spark. Both cylinders had tested good compression and the spark looks about the same for each side. (Although looks weak but ive been told banshees have weak spark?) I pulled the reed cage on the bad side and it looked fine to me. Didn’t look bent and the reeds were completely closed no gaps or anything. I have not done the tors delete on my carbs and for some reason when i am turning the mixture(one with lock nut) screw on the bad side carb i can turn it all the way in and even pull it all the way out and it doesnt seem to affect the idle much. The bike starts on first kick even in 20 degrees. And will idle for a few mins by itself then it tends to sound like it starts to bog up and then it dies but will restart right away and then die again with in 30 seconds every time. I am at a loss and i just was wondering if you could help point me in the right direction. Thank you for any info it’s greatly appreciated. You’re videos are very helpful.
Hey man. My banshee is leaking coolant and I think its coming out of the plug under the seat but im not sure. It gets all over and drips on the ground. If you could help that would be great.
