As you've already stated, Panetone is a staple here in Italy. My Italian in-laws are always so shocked when I bring some American desserts to our Christmas lunch... lol.. They do try them, but they always return to their beloved Panetone with some freshly whipped mascarpone. I would love to shock them with this bread pudding!!!!!!

I got really excited cause I thought you where going to show us how to make panettone. lol. Anyways, my father is Peruvian so panettone was something I grew up eating a lot of and, we are big fans of bread pudding. So definitely will be trying this recipe out 😋

I'm making this for our holiday dinner but could only find chocolate chip panettone. I'm thinking its ok but thought to get your opinion.
Bread pudding always looks really good, but I'm not sure about the texture. Is it like wet bread? Or doughy? Or does it bake up like cake?
It's kind of more custardy and pudding like, like French Toast :) Super yummy! A must try!
