    The 3M sticky pads dont last. They come off and the battery pack bounces around until you notice and fix it. Don't let support tell you they're permanent. They're not. It's a design flaw. Maybe they need to be hot glued.

      When properly installed, the adhesives should last indefinitely. If the mounting surface isn't properly cleaned, or if the adhesive isn't pressed down long enough to get a proper bond, the adhesive will wear out and let go prematurely.

    Does the battery drain if it’s not plugged in. I keep the battery in and don’t remove it after use. Sometimes I don’t use the Fishman electronics. If I don’t use it did the battery still drain or does it only drain when you are using the electronics?

      If you unplug the instrument cable from the guitar, then the battery will turn off. You will maximize the battery life by unplugging your guitar when it's not being used.

    So the $64 question. Do you get any heads up that the battery is dying? It’s not like u can just change it out like a guitar that has a battery compartment. Def not during a gig, loosening strings, digging battery out, replacing, tightening and tuning strings again - no way! Thanks for input if u know the fyi.

    • @LRBaggsResources
      @LRBaggsResources  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I recommend checking the battery every time you change your strings. If the battery gets below about 8V, change it out. If your battery gets low while playing, the signal will gradually start to distort more and more over the course of a few hours.

      Thank you for ur response So, How often do u recommend changing strings?

    • @LRBaggsResources
      @LRBaggsResources  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@nfn16076It really depends on how often you play. If you play plugged in once or twice a week, checking the battery once every month or two should be fine.

      L l baggs Thank you so much. I have LLBaggs Element VTC pre installed in my new Gibson 45. Is there another pickup by u I could have easily installed in my Gibson with a battery strength indicator? For example, I have been burned soo many times w my Taylor where the battery goes dead onstage, but at least it is very ez to change that fast. Yours not so much. Loosening the strings and retuning - ykes! Ty much.

    How frequently should I change the battery? My J45 sound suddenly become softer. I'm wondering if it's because of the battery. I bought guitar more that 2 years.

      It really depends on how much you play plugged-in. I recommend getting a battery tester so you can check your battery when you change the strings. After 2 years, it's probably a good idea to change it.

    Hey !! does a battery play a role while i record my guitar through the pickup ?

    • @LRBaggsResources
      @LRBaggsResources  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The battery plays a role anytime you are plugged in. If you are noticing any kind of distortion, changing the battery is always a good thing to try.

    It is possible to use 9 volts battery even it's dead on plugging input jack or to operate still the built-in tuner?

    • @LRBaggsResources
      @LRBaggsResources  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Usually a built in tuner will draw a lot of power. So a dead or low battery will not be enough to run a tuner.

      @@LRBaggsResources wow it make sense anyway what is the best type of 9 volts battery size circumference to fit in to the battery box?

      @@AngeloLuis22 We usually use a standard copper-top Duracell for anything here at our shop.

    When your battery life indicator has 3 lights lit, how much play time is left?

    • @LRBaggsResources
      @LRBaggsResources  ปีที่แล้ว

      On the Anthem? It varies a little bit, but it should be around 75 hours when it drops from 4 to 3.

    Hi Thanks for this . I recently bought a "Cort gold edge LE" - Acoustic Guitar , it had LR baggs pickups and your video was extremely helpful to understand. One question - I rarely play using amps.. In that case, do i still need to replace the battery every year ? as battery might get expired its date ? What you say ?

    • @LRBaggsResources
      @LRBaggsResources  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's probably a good idea to check on your battery when you change your strings. That way you can hopefully avoid any damage if the battery begins to corrode. If you just check on it from time to time, you should be ok.

    Hi! I lost the battery bag for my Anthem SL pickup. Where can I get a replacement bag in Argentina?

    That’s a joke. The battery pack Velcro that sticks to the neck block is not strong enough to stay put when you try and pull the battery bag from it.

    • @LRBaggsResources
      @LRBaggsResources  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      With a proper installation on a clean surface, that Velcro adhesive should be extremely difficult to remove. If you need a fresh adhesive and some instructions on getting the best hold, let me know at support@lrbaggs.com. -Caleb

    Hi LR Baggs, I own your regular anthem pickup system and I was wondering : can I use rechargeable 9V lithium batteries, although they have less voltage (usually between 7.2 and 8.4V) ? Many thanks in advance for your response.

    • @LRBaggsResources
      @LRBaggsResources  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You can use a rechargeable battery, but it should have at least 8V on average to get the best performance from the Anthem. The sound quality will drop quickly after you get below 8V.
