Sure, watch the Administrators, but don't throw the baby out with the bathwater! I give large bills to the street people whenever I can, thanks, no "change". It is not a choice if you have health issues, disabilities, mental health issues or all 3 in some cases. You have not seen that side of life, good for you. Sometimes there are too many problems, so you are not able to get ahead, even if you are really trying. Solutions to help people out of those circumstance are very hard to do, apparently, you have not had to worry about that. Yet more and more people are finding themselves there. As a student, many live in their vans to go to school. During lockdown, many honest, hardworking people lost their jobs and homes. In 2008, many had their homes taken away - after we bailed out the banks. And if these big things harmed them and then somewhat, then a family member or themselves, develop health issues, or gets in a car accident. Compounding their circumstance. It is not like they can go get a loan or have a rich family member bail them out. Inflation has made it even harder to get solvent again. So this is not about choosing it. No one would choose to live this way - with no protection, where people can harm you at any time. Have you ever begged for the use of a toilet or food when you had no money? Have a heart, the new homeless are not just drug addicts and alcoholics, they are families and vets, and young people who do not feel there will be a way to make a life now that the world is on the brink of WW3. And illegals are giving hotels after never having paid 1cent of taxes into the system. We need solutions - not judgements. Remember: "But for the grace of God go I". I pray for you, life has a way of making us more compassionate or bitter, which one are you?

When visiting LA, Seattle and other large cities it is creepy to see homeless tents at the side of freeways, under over passes and all over. There is usually trash everywhere around the area. For people traveling through the area not from there, it is scary to be around them. In Juneau, Alaska they used to have homeless people sleeping in parks and all over in the downtown area where the cruise ships park. It is scary for visitors, now they have gotten rid of the problem. Or at least they are not in the downtown area. In San Francisco a few years ago homeless people and there stuff were all over in the Fisherman's Wharf area. It is a large tourist area and was unsettling as a visitor. In Kansas, Oklahoma, Nebraska, Texas, Missouri, Arkansas, Wyoming, Idaho, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Tennessee, Kentucky and South Carolina that I have been in, in the last year. Do NOT have homeless people every where. I did not see any tent areas at all.

When someone is found living in a public space give the option to go there or jail. It would cost taxpayers less than it does dealing with this issue as it is now. There problem solved. Use the billions that was collected from taxpayers specifically for this issue. Oh wait, they don’t know where the money went

This is actually an idea started by the nazis. The Nazis used the term “anti-social element” as a collective category to cover the persecution of social outsiders - it was used to justify mass arrests on a large-scale, such as the 1938 “Reich work-shirker” campaign, but it was also part of everyday police practice. Homeless people, beggars, vagrants, pimps, prostitutes, welfare recipients, and last but not least “gypsies and people roaming about in the manner of gypsies” were all considered to be “anti-social elements.” But Jewish men who had some kind of previous conviction could also end up being detained in a concentration camp on the grounds of being “anti-social elements.” Incarcerating homeless people is basically what the nazis did, however, since they can't arrest you based on status alone, this is actually a public camping ban for everyone, though we all know it's targeted towards homeless individuals.
