Youve been living this way since 19 and ur 24. so in half a decade you've done nothing to improve ur situation. Why should I? I dont care where you go. I dont care that you struggle. I dont care that ur an addict. You dont care, nor do I.

Land is cheap in Maine. Buy a lot and camp on it all you want. Public parks and other open areas are not free hotels.
Also was that reporter still "social distancing" (made up BS) from the mayor of Portland?

They're not buying the land these people are camping in.
They're taking over public parks with thier garbage, drugs, and junk.
If there's shelter available, there's no reason to stay homeless, except they want their drugs.

The idea to not have any kind of free land is mentally ill. Earth surface ownernship should be banned completely.

I can answer that guy who said where are they supposed to go. You should get a job and pay for a place to live like the rest of us have to.

Rules keep people safe. If you are not housed, having some structure at a shelter could be good for you while you seek either mental health treatment or for work to better your situation.

The homeless advocates should house the homeless in their own home if they care for the homeless people so much. The homeless issue will disappear if all the homeless advocates out there adopt one and house them in their own home. Taxpayers deserve to enjoy the public area that their tax dollars paid for without putting up with the filthy & dangerous conditions caused by homeless encampments. Instead, the homeless advocates just take the grant monies from the gov to pretend like they care about homeless people while laughing all the way to the bank. Homeless advocates just want more homeless people because they profit from them. These homeless advocates are only crying now cuz their revenue stream might become smaller after this ruling.

Just because he said that they haven’t arrested anyone don’t mean that is true my thought is that they have already been doing that long before the rules in favor of law 😮criminals and homeless are not the same sad day when my own country has charged me because they don’t make living indoors Affordable anymore😮

This land is our land, this land is your land...you can't just float away??? Housing security is expensive, education and job security is every city's obligation. $32/HR is enough to afford a house or rent et al. Few make that.

It is less expensive to house than arrest.

But US Americans love the idea that poor people should get more punishment for being lazy and addicted, they just dont want to see it.
No surprise that it was them who inspired Adolf Hitler to start concentration camps (build after the reservats for native americans).

What's going on in here. I just came back from several years living in Korea, and someone took a big dump on my porch.

Nope, they just made it so cities dont have to permit people setting up camp in a public places. Didnt you watch the report?

BEING homeless is just that. A state of being. Setting up camp on public sidewalks and refusing shelter is an act. An illegal act. It's called vagrancy.
