Do never loot chests. Income is gated by your highest money making skill(early on it's chef and fish, combat always make coin) however in chapter 3/4 there are imho superior and more usefull money makers. For knowledge there are skills that are better knowledge gain, the idea for minmaxing leveling is to train high knowledge skills and spend knowledge and passive xp on lower knowledge ones. For instance, do not put knowledge in combat.
No reset. You learn a new set of skills in Episode (or zone/area 2) - but you still use your skills in Zone (episode) 1 too. And you go back and forth often. Furthermore, your guard skill from episode 1 is still technically used when you begin fighting in episode/zone 2 - it's just a ton weaker in that area, so you begin fighting with it till you get drops for that area. But save your guard gear for going back to zone 1. If you follow the story, the mechanic makes sense and its unique way to avoid dead/low lvl content.
Yes it does, no matter what these people are telling themselves, you are essentially leveling up the same exact skill but with a different name, its a reset, a soft reset if you want, but a reset still
Excellent tips! Thank you, and I've subbed. I'm now into Day 2. Now at guard lvl 14, nearly there! Foraging will probably be my first L20 skill
The way he talked about the knowledge points plus the music in the background has me convinced he could sell ice to an eskimo
Honestly pretty good tips, I do wish I knew about the knowledge system before reaching it, would've hyperfocused one skill

No reset new professions each episode. New combat skill for new zone kill lvl 0 for new items takes 20 minutes. It all makes sense episode 4 .
