Looks like Disney did a great job upgrading and transforming Pacific Wharf into San Fransokyo. It looks very well done and an improvement to the space.
FreshBaked. David, Liz, Sofia, Nice to see the FreshBaked " Foodie Team" doing what they do best. I'm here for the Baymax Macaron. But to many of those and I'll blowup to be the size of Baymax. Cheers, Chris Perry.
Lychee tastes fruity like a cross between strawberry and pear. Disney must have added the mint because Lychee does not taste like mint. I really enjoyed all the food that you reviewed! Thank you for describing what everything tastes like. Great review David😍😍😋😋
Honestly your food reviews are some of your best videos and I value your opinion more than any other Disney food vlogger - you're not a food snob and also don't love everything.
Just recently got the impossible bhan mi and kinda sad it’s gone now. It was really good! That birria ramen will be yummy in a cool day. Thanks for trying and sharing this with us. We just watched big hero six yesterday so I could be familiar with it.
Love all your videos but really love to see (hear) your wife and daughter (and the Ninja of course). Great job - thanks for the info and entertainment.
Wow! San Fransokyo Square is becoming a real happening place! It's gonna be quite the place to see and be seen! All that food looks stunning! Glad you gave us the full monty on it! Really fun nearly seeing the whole family Robinson as well! Thanks FreshBaked! PS: I'm with you, Baymax is my spirit animal! When I grow up I wanna be as good as he is!
Oof I was looking forward to having some Japanese food here, but I’m a little disappointed to be honest-maybe my standards are too high because I’m Japanese, but just making standard udon (not yaki udon) would have been a better decision IMO. Cute bento boxes with baymax shaped rice or something would be more appealing to me haha (or not as overpowering food) but the macaroon looks yum!!
There's a spot near my house that apparently has really good birria ramen, but it looks so overwhelmingly heavy that I haven't been brave enough to try it. They do have the best california burrito I've ever had though.
All the food looked really good, I don't like lychee or ginger, so i'd be with you on the not so good meter. The area is coming along nicely, pleased it will be open fully by the time we get there.
Yea, I'm excited it all looks super delicious. I hope they still have the beer cheese bread bowl when we are there in November. Will be there starting our first in DCA on the 1st day of festival of holidays 😊
My guess is that bread bowl will not be available come november. I think a lot of the seasonal food will leave the park starting september 1st when the halloween season starts.
The difference between karaage and fried chicken is that it's supposed to be marinated in a soy/ginger sauce before being coated with flour and deep fried. It's pronounced kah-rah-ah-gay. The runny egg in the ramen bowl was not a surprise. That's what soft-boiled means. What was a surprise that they had it with a soft-boiled egg at all. I'd have thought that the health laws would prohibit it. Real Japanese ramen often will have a slice of hard-boiled egg. Soft-cooked egg is a big part of Japanese cooking though. A popular dish is breaking a raw egg over freshly-cooked rice and letting the heat of the rice partially cook the egg. I've tried it and am not a fan at all.
Most places, even Japanese restaurants, don't do justice by karaage because to make really good karaage it's a bit of a process compared to just dredging chicken in seasoned flour and throwing it in deep frier. I've got a recipe for it from Japanese home cooks and it's become my family's favorite fried chicken hands down. The potato starch used to coat is called katakuriko, but some recipes cheat by using corn starch, which ends up being less crispy.
Potato starch instead of flour with Karaage chicken. Karaage from a Japanese restaurant is definitely not plain tasting and usually extremely juicy because it’s often made with chicken thigh not breast. Also that birria ramen looks like it needs some fresh squeezed lime 😮💨
I had the sandwich last week when I was in DCA, it's 100% thigh meat and dredged in Potato starch. It's also a 10/10 IMO, it's quite good. The Garlic Chips are also very good.
“BEER-e-uh.” Emphasis on the beer. Lychee is “Lie-Chee” Karaage needs a roll on the R the same way you mispronounce Macaron. Macron isn’t a Spanish word but actually it’s French 😅. The N is soft/almost silent. Also the R is in the back of the throat but that’s just too many things to think about 😂 It’s okay though. Tim Tracker gets the award for most mispronounced International food items 😅.
Y'know I think lychee is an acquired taste, especially stuff that is lychee flavored. The lychee fruit is not as concentrated of a flavor (kinda like how grape is vs. grape flavored things). Completely understandable to not enjoy the flavor of those teas, though maybe they just have subpar lychee flavor syrup!
I don't get it, I thought Japanese food supposed to be mixed with American origin food right? I thought berria is American and as I checked the origin, it wasn't American origin, even I saw in the cartoon taco yaki, but it said taco appeared in America and people think they are from mexico, I hope taco is born in America meaning first made in America, even slaw and garlic chips I think is American origin, but I find mayonnaise is not American nor mexican origin, but syrup is Canadian origin I think, but macaron is not both American and mexican origin. Buck choy and hoisin sauce is not Japanese unlike shoyuu, ramen, karaage, yaki and udon.
Had a debate in Hawaii, where it seems to be Lie-chee. Grew up in SF Bay area eating lee-chee. Actually not a huge fan of the fruit, after Hawaii trip prefer Longan, now that would be an interesting drink.
Love that Disney is REALLY incorporating California’s multi-cultural foods in the park! (DELICIOUS). …..Question is, will the hoards of tourists visiting from the “Flyover States” (boring, bland, awful diets), try them? I have relatives in Montana that WON’T try any of these wonderful foods. They would call EVERYTHING David tried “scary” foods! ……Pathetic, I know. 🙄😂🙄😂🤷🏼♂️🤷🏼♂️🤷🏼♂️
A macaron is what an Oreo wishes it could be??? They're not even remotely the same kind of snack/dessert. An Oreo is cookie-based and crunchy. A macaron is meringue-based and should be chewy with just a bit of a crusty bite. 😕 And your pronunciation of macaron is unique.
Thank You so much for spending YOUR $$ and not I FRESH BAKED! I now know what to order. Keep going Need a dinner Meal please. # How do I get into BLUE BAYOU. Hit me back FRESH BAKE!!!
Nice to see your son finally! Even if a little fuzzy 😆
Looks like Disney did a great job upgrading and transforming Pacific Wharf into San Fransokyo. It looks very well done and an improvement to the space.

I'm excited in a month to see the land at night. I feel like it will be a big improvement to that area as the sunsets
FRESHBAKED is Disneyland!¡!! 2 videos in one day!!
The other Freshbaked video is on his other channel. Great walk through of the park!!
Lychee tastes fruity like a cross between strawberry and pear. Disney must have added the mint because Lychee does not taste like mint. I really enjoyed all the food that you reviewed! Thank you for describing what everything tastes like. Great review David😍😍😋😋

A local food truck in my town makes Birria Ramen. It’s freakin’ amazing! I would totally order the ramen!
I’m gonna be so excited when they install the "Port of San Fransokyo" sign!
Just recently got the impossible bhan mi and kinda sad it’s gone now. It was really good! That birria ramen will be yummy in a cool day. Thanks for trying and sharing this with us. We just watched big hero six yesterday so I could be familiar with it.
loved those bhan mi's myself.
This is awesome! I was wondering if it was going to be just a name change. I'm looking forward to some Baymax merch.
Pronunciation of Birria is Beer-E-Ah
“Birria” is pronounced [Beer-ee-ah] 😂 you’re welcome ❤
You beat me to it. David please listen to this lady ^
I came here to say the same. I also commented on the DIS Unplugged video saying the same. Drives me crazy.
Gotta roll those R’s
Came here to say this as well!
yes please thank you!!! i was cringing every time
Love all your videos but really love to see (hear) your wife and daughter (and the Ninja of course). Great job - thanks for the info and entertainment.
Hi Liz!
Those garlic chips look like the ones they used to have in the Star Wars Land. They are really good
Wow! San Fransokyo Square is becoming a real happening place! It's gonna be quite the place to see and be seen! All that food looks stunning! Glad you gave us the full monty on it! Really fun nearly seeing the whole family Robinson as well!
Thanks FreshBaked!

The Baymax cookie looks good. I don't like the famous raspberry macron, but this one looks simple and nice.
Thank David. Loved having your opinion on the new foods
Disney is definitely paying attention to Latino food trends. I'm here all for it!
Asian and Latino actually but yeah noticed that too.
Looking forward to trying new food when i go for my bday ! on the 26th 😂
Thank you for the video David!
I always thought it was pronounced Lie Chee. I also like watching satisfied people coming out of the restroom.
Nyuk nyuk!
Oof I was looking forward to having some Japanese food here, but I’m a little disappointed to be honest-maybe my standards are too high because I’m Japanese, but just making standard udon (not yaki udon) would have been a better decision IMO. Can’t wait to try! I’m from Japan. So I’m so exciting to see how they inspired. Thanks for sharing!
Why am I hungry? Yummy. Thanks for sharing the meals
Man… ninjas all grown up!!! 🤯🤯🤯
Hey Fresh Baked!!
There's a spot near my house that apparently has really good birria ramen, but it looks so overwhelmingly heavy that I haven't been brave enough to try it. They do have the best california burrito I've ever had though.
Is this spot in San Diego? Because only SD has the best Cali burritos!
Fresh baked!
Looks so yummy!!!!
All the food looked really good, I don't like lychee or ginger, so i'd be with you on the not so good meter. The area is coming along nicely, pleased it will be open fully by the time we get there.
I watching now. I love your videos with your family 🎈🧁🧁🧁
Do they offer slices lemon for the birria ramen?
Yea, I'm excited it all looks super delicious. I hope they still have the beer cheese bread bowl when we are there in November. Will be there starting our first in DCA on the 1st day of festival of holidays 😊
My guess is that bread bowl will not be available come november. I think a lot of the seasonal food will leave the park starting september 1st when the halloween season starts.
@FreshBakedDisney Oh dang. I guess I'll have to make it myself, lol. I'm thinking of adding cooking to my channel. I have two disney cookbooks
Hi Fresh Baked!!!!!!
Garlic chips are always my favorite.
I really enjoyed the Udon noodle dish myself, although I enjoyed the chicken a bit more than you did.
Hey fresh baked I’m a big fan of u and ur videos here letting u know that the splash mountain tree has been cut off for tianas bayou adventure
Thank you for saving me some $$ on the tea!
Wow the food looks good 😊

I also believe Karaage uses potato starch rather than flour.
I mean the ramen is a fusion of japanese and mexican.

Thx for the pronunciation guide, been wondering! It’s everywhere lately, and delicious.

You're pronunciation of Birria is terrible but still better than mine and I'm Mexican haha
Baaaria…I just met a girl named Baaaria! 😂 It’s BEE-REE-AH! 🙄
You should have tried the 1st one with the straw and mixed it
Looks nummy
New camera? Or was the light just really good that day?
Will there be one in Florida
15:21 🫢 omg noooo it’s a good movie 😢
“BEER-e-uh.” Emphasis on the beer.
Lychee is “Lie-Chee”
Karaage needs a roll on the R the same way you mispronounce Macaron.

Bee-re-ahh

Did they give out a fortune cookie? Seems apropos for their name
Just as a heads up birria is pronounced beer-eee-ahh
That raman dish was not looking good to me. Hope you still enjoyed your meal.
bee-ri-ah
"BEER-IA" 😊
Food looks great but no tea for me.
Going late august eeeeee
Or if you can’t roll your Rs the. Bee-D-Ah
It’s pronounced: Bee-(rolled R)- ee-ah
I don't get it, I thought Japanese food supposed to be mixed with American origin food right?

Buck choy and hoisin sauce is not Japanese unlike shoyuu, ramen, karaage, yaki and udon.
But I already live in NorCal and can get the REAL food in SF. Y'all enjoy yerselves but I think I'll go to Flo's or whatever....
but you can you eat food in NorCal and ALSO go to Disneyland at the same time?
And for far cheaper, more authentic and still good quality elsewhere, not too far away still in Anaheim or orange county and surrounds.
@@FreshBakedDisney Yes, I can. But I will get my old tried and true at DL :D
Missing the point? If you’re hungry at DLR, what to eat? Thx to Freshed Baked we have a better idea.
The question is: Will they offer chopsticks. As an Asian American, I will not eat noodles with a fork. 😂. Great stuff, by the way.
You forgot to try the new Vegan Udon Noodle dish! That's new too.
***Lai Cheeeee***
Sweet drinks are not for me either
$85😅😅😅😅😅😅😅 for 3 meals and 3 drinks????
Is that the correct way of pronouncing lychee? I have always pronounced it as Lie-chee.
Both are acceptable.
Had a debate in Hawaii, where it seems to be Lie-chee. Grew up in SF Bay area eating lee-chee. Actually not a huge fan of the fruit, after Hawaii trip prefer Longan, now that would be an interesting drink.
Gotta learn how to say Birria There’s a little tongue roll
I’m not sure what you’re expecting from theme park food. Disneyland has never had great food even though Disney adults tend to act like it does.
I like lychee. I hate ginger .
Love that Disney is REALLY incorporating California’s multi-cultural foods in the park! Lychee. Blah.
Trucker hat please 🙏
What’s Burr iah? It’ BEER-ee- ah!! And roll the rr
How hard is it to pronounce things correctly?
So not into Chinese food 🤮. However I go to DCA at Christmas time so then I can get the nice Christmas booth foods.
The food David tried was Japanese and Mexican. So maybe you'll like it.
The area he's at is based on Big Hero 6. It's Japanese and fused with something else.
Why do you keep pronouncing "macaron" with a Spanish accent? You know they're French right? lol
too long on the food review
Thank You so much for spending YOUR $$ and not I FRESH BAKED! I now know what to order. Keep going Need a dinner Meal please. # How do I get into BLUE BAYOU. Hit me back FRESH BAKE!!!
