Totally agreed with that Tiana's comment, in the time it took to get my mobile order, my wife went inside we got our food and finished eating while still waiting on that mobile order.
I have been going to Disneyland once per year for the last few years and I've never eaten at the Plaza Inn. I literally thought you needed a reservation or something. I'll be going next trip for sure! CHICKEN!
How about a guide to best photo op spots, best spots for desserts, guide to best places for merch, guide to restaurants that require reservations…these are things I think about when I have an upcoming visit to the park! Id also love to see your perfect Disney day! Thanks for always bringing the Disney magic 🧚
Thank you for this. I will be rewatching this several times so I have an idea of where to eat in Oct when I return to DL for the first time in 24 years (DCA was still being built and behind “walls”).
Avoid the restroom near Plaza Inn basically a broom closet and the Mint Julep very small. The restroom in Galaxy’s edge in the marketplace very roomy not too crowded considering everyone refills their water bottles out front
It’s hilarious that Pizza Planet is my wife’s favorite place to eat there. I haven’t found it to be as terrible as people make it out to be, but to each their own. I love sitting in the outdoor section that’s adjacent to the Space Mountain entrance. The vibes there are perfect. I also haven’t loved Bengal BBQ as much as others; the beef is always over cooked and chewy.
Plaza Inn always has a salad they make fresh when you order it. You can customize it if it has things you don’t or can’t eat, and I frequently request ranch dressing instead of the dressing it comes with. The salad never fails me when I’m looking for something lighter to eat.
We love the Golden Horseshoe and the Rancho Zocalo. These are our go to restaurants, especially since Red Rose Tavern got rid of their Gluten Free pizza.
Plaza inn is the absolute best there! Usually eat two times or more per trip. Watch for the birds. It went splat on the top of my head last time… not fun. Still will go back of course! Maybe I will eat inside.
Hi David. We will be in Disneyland Wednesday. We are usually looking for somewhere to eat and have tried several with less than happy experience. This video made it easier for us to make a decision where to eat next! Thanks for sharing your thoughts and the numerous options available! Happy Mother’s Day to Liz! 💖💖💖
I haven't tried the pizza at Pizza Planet, so I cannot offer an opinion on that, but we often get their pasta dishes. I think they are pretty good, and they are shareable for a large family on a budget. I would love for you to do a video on whether or not you should stay in line or get out of line when a ride breaks down. We only make it to Disneyland about once a year, but we face this dilemma every time we come.
Would love to see you break these ratings down further giving a score for food, originality, theming, ease of access, etc. and bonus points or two for things like Breakfast. I tend to care mostly only about flavor so seeing something that has "good" but not "great" food get an aggregated 8 or 9 out of 10 is a bit confusing when you also give that same rating to somewhere with excellent food.
The sesame ginger noodles from Alien Pizza Planet is my favorite dish at the park. I've had it 5+ times and I've never walked away disappointed. (Except that one time when they stiffed me on the sesame ginger sauce). I agree that it is loud, crowded, confusing, and serves meh pizza, but just for that Asian noodle dish and free refills on drinks, it is probably one of my most common Disney expenses. I also tried the ronto-less garden wrap for the first time on my last visit, and was pleasantly surprised. I just wish the pita was more consistently soft and fresh instead of sometimes being stiff and stale. Also, kudos to whoever decided to finally turn the volume down on the pod racer engine rotisserie!
Thanks Dave! This was so helpful to see the offerings and locations and hear the recommendations instead of looking at these places on the app. It's crazy, I've been to Disneyland so many times but I've only been to probably half of the places mentioned in this video. I would love to see a video like this for DCA! Thanks!
Love this review. Just got back from our trip and I also loved the Hungry Bear atmosphere and enjoyed the lobster roll. I was so sad to miss Docking Bay 7 but my partner got to eat there and absolutely loved it. The Fried Chicken at Plaza Inn is wonderful but the green beans were inedible. I'm not sure why they can't improve the veg cooking for that dish. I much preferred the veggies at Flo's V8 with that fried chicken. Thank you for all your efforts to bring us wonderful information about all things Disneyland :)
Our very 1st trip to Disney (I had not been in like 20 years and my kids 1st) we went to Pizza planet, kids love pizza. But I was so disappointed, the slice is so small, and everyone was still hungry after. Went and got a nearby pretzel to help fill us up.
Love this video. When I went last month, I made a spreadsheet of all the food that I wanted to try. We had 54 items over 5 days lol! And I still missed out on places that I wished that we could go but ran out of time. I wish some places stayed open after midnight on main street. I was always at the park until 1 and I wanted a snack on the way out and I ended up having to go to mcdonalds. Not on my spreadsheet LOL! I was so disappointed. I wanted to go to Docking Bay 7 on our last day but we were in DCA and couldn't make it there before they closed. I wanted to try their season of the force menu. I did have their cold brew and it was good. Do DCA next :)
Golden Horseshoe is reliably FREEZING. So if you need a place to sit for a moment, stop in. It’s some how always LOUD. The acoustics are horrific. But… if you are hot and can’t make it over to the opera house… take a break at the Horseshoe.
All these places are great unless you have dietary restrictions, because you can’t customize most of the dishes. We are restricted to Galactic Grill or Hungry Bear due to this. It sucks to miss out on all this great food because you can’t remove a sauce or replace w/a GF bun.
FreshBaked. David, Thank you for taking the time to do this for us all. For those of us who don't go very often this is a great guide on where to eat and little tips on food. I was surprised that the "River Belle Terrace" did'nt make the list. My own personal favorite "Carnation Cafe" does'nt it do breakfasts anymore? I alway's used to start my day there at rope drop. AnywayI enjoyed myself. Cheers, Chris Perry.
Your rankings are spot on! My daughter and I loved grabbing treats at Maurice’s and enjoying them at the Golden Horseshoe. We miss the foam and the show but we have great memories. 😊
Aloha Dave...thank you for confirming my own opinions...years ago i took my girlfriend and her two boys to DL .they went to Pizza Plant..i did not...even those two 8 year old boys thought the Pizza sux there . I am going to Tiannas because I've never been but the Plaza Inn is top of my list and yes the chicken is hard to beet .even at $20 for the dinner its a good value..huge portions and just great food Thanks again..I will be in the park tomorrow so i hope to see you .I will walk up to you if i see you .sorry if i interrupt you but i really just want to say hi and show you my shirt that says .Hey Disney, pay your CM better...
One of my favorite videos you have made in awhile. I’m heading to the park early next month. Really hope you do one just like this for DCA! Thanks Fresh Baked hope we run into you there.
Wow!! I agree with everything …. ( except troubadour) as I never ate there yet… it’s on my list for next time I go … and yes plaza inn It’s always good (other entree there is pot roast) also very good☺️ I also get the kefta at docking bay… but you didn’t mention black caf cold brew…. One of my faves (iced coffee with Cocoa Puffs) … So so accurate for Pizza planet thx for your honesty! Happy eating… ☺️😋
I would say that I haven’t been impressed by Docking Bay 7 at all, but Ronto Roasters is my go-to for breakfast. I get the breakfast wrap and a meiloorun juice. Plaza Inn is just such a solid, consistent choice. It’s often my first dinner when we fly in. Bengal Barbecue honestly deserves a 10/10.
Awesome video! As a local I will say the only thing I disagree with is Hungry Bear- never been too fond of it, and the views & food I can get at Harbor Galley or Tiana's are far better, in my opinion 7/10. Still- thanks for making this, and I hope you do one for DCA, and maybe even DTD!
Looking forward any chance of getting a list of non-spicy good food? Disney is spicing up everything lately it’s hard to find something mild that isn’t chicken tenders!!
Yes, I call It coke corner as well. can't have a good day at Disney without a nice cold Cherry Coke yum, my brother saw you the other day he was so excited, haven't spotted you yet but you got me on your video the first day of Fantasmic, always enjoy your videos
For Plaza Inn the regular pasta is great would like a little more sauce. One of my brothers gets the Salmon and he loves it my other brother gets the roast beef and i tried it it’s tender and not dry. Side salad is a must for my family we always get it. Never tried the desserts there
Wow Dave, you covered it all! Kudos, perfect vlog. Plaza Inn 10/10 for sure. (What else do they serve, who knows & who cares?) We hang our hats also on the baked potato at Troubadour. My daughter’s fave for many yrs. Followed it around the park since it was at Harbour Galley, or maybe even before that. (I think it started somewhere else…) Disappeared several times, but we keep our eyes out. Great, filling, delish & less expensive than most things. Wish there were more breakfast items for quick serve (eap savory things) but discovered the Red Rose pancakes in the lull times, and I love the strawberry sauce. Not on my diet but so delish. Agree the Ronto-less wraps are superior. Crazy, but oh so true! On two trips found Toon Town delicious, that was a lovely surprise! Used to be the worst, or in fact no food available at all. Cheers to new Toon Town! Problem, my daughter is stuck on Bengal bbq, which leaves less tummy room for other things. Anyway, plenty of really good food at Disneyland, so yay! When I was little Grandma would buy me a hotdog before we went home to make grandpa’s dinner. That was the one option. Still, the golden years for me. Food makes a theme park way better, but it’s still not everything 🤗
I have a soft spot for pizza planet. My family would go there a lot when I was little because it was easy for kids to eat. Same for red rose tavern. Maybe should add that for guests who’ve never been?
Helpful in seeing what is old and new food options. I haven't been back in years and there are a lot of changes but also faithful classics. I only have one place as a core memory of food at Disneyland 4:09 I wish you went a little more in depth on the baos, like how they tasted to you, but realize that might not be the goal of this video 9:10 this is a childhood memory of a place for me! My family would ALWAYS get the clam chowder bread bowl from this place and we'd put a blanket out and wait for Fantasmic while we ate. Family tradition! So happy it is still there (and Fantasmic will be back soon) 11:39 the re-theming to Tian's just looks great! The place looks great. The food looks great. The pricing...maybe not so much...but you're in Didneyland 17:26 I remember when I believe this place was a Pinocchio themed pizza place. I remember the pizza being good...maybe ok. Clearly the menu has changed. My tastebuds probably have too. 21:31 wait...isn't there the Pluto place? Or is that not food? It used to be the adorable gas station with the fish and photo op cars 23:55 sad to hear the news on Pizza Planet. I remember that place being...at least ok...at least warm. But cold pizza for $9? Sad 2/10 25:35 only had the chicken but 10/10
You forgot the quick service cart directly across from Big Thunder Mountain. They serve the ABSOLUTELY BEST BREAKFAST Chimichanga in the mornings! a MUST have, IF you like that sort of thing! AND the meatloaf at Plaza Inn is actually hubby's favorite item them. He loves their awesome fried chicken too, but prefers the juicy/flavorful/filling meatloaf! 100% agree on your assessment of Alien Pizza Planet & that Tiana's shrimp and grits is the BEST item there too. Spectacular! Hopefully, you'll do a similar table service review, and the same of these on the DCA side. I don't agree with all your ratings but respect why you've ranked them as you did. Thanks!
A suggestion for your miles long list of future videos - an overview of kid meals for picky "american" tastes. I spent SO MANY hours researching food options for my 3 kids for our first trip back in 2018 - think mac and cheese, hamburgers, chicken strips. I wanted to see pictures of the size of the portions and how the mac and cheese looked. I know most of the mac and cheese through both parks is the same but not all and I wanted to see photos of the "toddler" mac and cheese vs other mac and cheese. I searched and searched - yelp, youtube, blogs, there just was not that much content out there for those planning for younger kids. Another video suggestion is quick little snippets on where and how to rent lockers, where and how to rent a disney stroller, where and how to get the fuel rods. Again, once you see it in person it's so easy but when you're a first time visitor, trying to research, there just wasn't much out on the internet to see. Finally, a tour through parking at the lots, and taking the tram over and entering through walking along harbor or the DLH security. Just quick first timer videos - vs. part of longer video vlogs.
I second this, but not for any kids. I myself am extremely picky and I don't get big portions. I don't touch anything with cheese or dressings for the most part. I would love a "kid friendly" version of this guide so I know where I can get lunch while my friends still enjoy their food too.
You need to follow this up with foods of DCA since that park is honestly a bit harder for people to make the best out of.
smoke jumpers grill hands down best restaurant at DCA
Absolutely I never know what to eat at DCA, so many choices I feel like.
I loved at Smokejumpers that they used to have the condiment bar, did they bring it back?
The Boudin Bakery Cafe is pretty good.
Fresh Baked to Pizza Planet: I hate the way the at you walk, the way that you talk. I hate the way that you dress 😂😂😂
lol
Totally agreed with that Tiana's comment, in the time it took to get my mobile order, my wife went inside we got our food and finished eating while still waiting on that mobile order.
Agreed. We went early after and didn't wait more than 10/15 minutes.
The Bengal BBQ Skewer with the cheesy garlic pretzel bread from Edelweiss makes a great sandwich and an excellent meal.
Pork Belly Skewee + Tiger tail = Disney Bahn mi!
We just did this very hack in April 2024 and it was two thumbs up!
Disney food hacks! Great video idea!
Plaza Inn Fried Chicken is my go to place. I’ll never forget David’s facial expressions eating there.
I have been going to Disneyland once per year for the last few years and I've never eaten at the Plaza Inn. I literally thought you needed a reservation or something. I'll be going next trip for sure! CHICKEN!
I think it’s only for breakfast because it’s character dining. The food is good it’s always a go to for me, the pasta is goood 😋😋
Great video and commentary. Please do DCA next.
I can appreciate and respect your opinions about these places.. but IMO honestly you were a bit charitable with a few of your scores! FRESH BAKED!!
Subtract 3 from every review and you’re good! 😂 this video was very useful though! I didn’t know plaza inn was quick service or that Tiana was so fast
You forgot that they have the Birria toasted cheese sandwich at The Jolly Holliday. Tastier than the regular grilled cheese.
Cafe Orleans and Monte cristo is the best if you can get a ressie!!!
the docking bay desserts 🥰🥰🥰
How about a guide to best photo op spots, best spots for desserts, guide to best places for merch, guide to restaurants that require reservations…these are things I think about when I have an upcoming visit to the park! Great review of the quick service restaurants at Disneyland! Hope you are thinking of doing the same at Disney California!

Thank you for doing this! I was just about to ask if someone could. :)
This got me thinking what about a bathroom guide like easy access bathrooms, less crowded bathrooms
Nice idea! I always like the one by autopia as it's the least busy but it's out of the way.
I’m 100% sure this guy has already done it, it’s Buried somewhere on TH-cam 😅
Avoid the restroom near Plaza Inn basically a broom closet and the Mint Julep very small. The restroom in Galaxy’s edge in the marketplace very roomy not too crowded considering everyone refills their water bottles out front
convenient bathrooms for moms with babies as well !!
Use the bathroom just inside Adventureland. Go to the left. There are always open stalls and much more space to be able to turn strollers around.
I wish there was a ❤ button for these videos. This was great and helpful, but made me hungry. 😂 I’m looking forward to eating when I visit in June.
💯 on the Felucian at DB7. As a vegan, I very much appreciate it and it is one of the foods I MUST eat at least once every time I go.
Looking forward to your guide to table service restaurants!
Just started the episode. I'm excited to see how my opinions line up with yours.
This was a great video Fresh Baked! Very informative. I like these! Thanks Fresh Baked!
I would love to see a breakfast food guide and review.
Best value go-to the tuna sandwich with pickle and chips from Harbour Galley $10.69 ($9 and change MK).
It’s hilarious that Pizza Planet is my wife’s favorite place to eat there. I haven’t found it to be as terrible as people make it out to be, but to each their own. I love sitting in the outdoor section that’s adjacent to the Space Mountain entrance. The vibes there are perfect.

The omelette station at the Plaza Inn during breakfast is a 10/10 😮💨

We love the Golden Horseshoe and the Rancho Zocalo. These are our go to restaurants, especially since Red Rose Tavern got rid of their Gluten Free pizza.
Plaza inn is the absolute best there! Usually eat two times or more per trip. Watch for the birds. It went splat on the top of my head last time… not fun. Still will go back of course! Maybe I will eat inside.
Thank you! This is helpful for those few places I still haven't yet experienced
That was a great guide that has opened a few more options to me.
Tropical Hideaway🎉🎉
Best dining guide!! Do you have a dining guide for DCA?
Our favorite is the fried chicken at plaza inn. It’s always something we look forward to when we come from Arizona to Disneyland.
I saw you yesterday taking a picture with a fan on mainstreet
thanks for all the info. we are going to Dlsneyland this week and dont know what to eat ..but now i know lol
The baked potato dog currently at refreshment corner is bomb
I like RDZ. And the cream cheese pretzels, and popcorn!
Would love to see you break these ratings down further giving a score for food, originality, theming, ease of access, etc. and bonus points or two for things like Breakfast. Plaza inn is my go to at Disneyland love their fried chicken
I am going to DL for the first time in 9 days and this was extremely helpful! Thanks so much!!
This is the perfect timing for this video. I’ll be in the resort end of this month for a whole week!
Thanks Dave! This was so helpful to see the offerings and locations and hear the recommendations instead of looking at these places on the app. It's crazy, I've been to Disneyland so many times but I've only been to probably half of the places mentioned in this video. That Jolly Holiday salad! I’m always looking for a lighter healthier option. Mobile is hard there. Fills up. But I’ll be making that happen next time!
Awsome video. Thank you for showing where the Resturants are. Their was a couple that I didn't even realize where there.
Our very 1st trip to Disney (I had not been in like 20 years and my kids 1st) we went to Pizza planet, kids love pizza. But I was so disappointed, the slice is so small, and everyone was still hungry after. Went and got a nearby pretzel to help fill us up.

😂😂😂 the point system sounds really unique thanks for the video 💛💚💙🩵💜
Love this, your simple honest reviews are greatly appreciated FB!
Love this review, concise and to the point. I took notes for our upcoming trip. I hope you do one for DCA as well.
This was awesome! We have been to Disneyland multiple times, but it is great to have a quick refresher like this for our next trip! Thank you.
You were spot on with how I would rate all of these places, but you missed the Ship to Shore Market Place and the chimichangas.
Love the plaza inn good job now I'm hungry and feening for a disneyland trip
All these places are great unless you have dietary restrictions, because you can’t customize most of the dishes. We are restricted to Galactic Grill or Hungry Bear due to this. It sucks to miss out on all this great food because you can’t remove a sauce or replace w/a GF bun.
Outstanding advice!
Chris, this list was just quick service places. 😀
@@carrievaldez3708 Thank You. Cheers, Chris Perry
Food looks really good.

I love this kind of content! It’s hard to know what all the restaurants serve! I would love another ultimate guide with more places on it! Thanks!
Definitely like to see the sit down restaurants ranked!
One of my favorite videos you have made in awhile. I’m heading to the park early next month. Really hope you do one just like this for DCA! Thanks Fresh Baked hope we run into you there.
Wow!! I agree with everything …. ( except troubadour) as I never ate there yet… it’s on my list for next time I go … and yes plaza inn It’s always good (other entree there is pot roast) also very good☺️

Great video! Looking forward to the DCA version.
The Chimichangas at “Ship to Shore”, which I think there’s other small spots that sell them too, are delicious and for $7 is a deal.
Absolutely fantastic overview, I'll be sending this video to any friends that say they're planning their first visit.
Nice job on the video Fresh Baked. 👍👌🍔
Wow-what a great video David! Docking Bay 7 is my favorite too

Have you done this for DCA? This was great!
Hello can’t wait for haunted mansion to reopen
Looking forward any chance of getting a list of non-spicy good food? Disney is spicing up everything lately it’s hard to find something mild that isn’t chicken tenders!!
This video is a 10 out of 10, thanks!
Loved your notes and agree. Thanks!
I go relatively often but I still have never eaten from Docking Bay, have only gotten the coldbrew!
This was so helpful! I love this format!
Please do more videos like this! This was great 👍
This came at the perfect time for us. Great info, thank you FreshBaked !

I’ve never had food in Galaxy’s Edge. I’ll be Docking there next time I’m in the park
We hit the Coke corner during a nighttime parade enjoying a soft pretzel and a diet Coke. Great way to end your day!
Helpful in seeing what is old and new food options. I haven't been back in years and there are a lot of changes but also faithful classics. I only have one place as a core memory of food at Disneyland

11:39 the re-theming to Tian's just looks great! The place looks great. The food looks great. The pricing...maybe not so much...but you're in Didneyland
17:26 I remember when I believe this place was a Pinocchio themed pizza place. I remember the pizza being good...maybe ok. Clearly the menu has changed. My tastebuds probably have too.
21:31 wait...isn't there the Pluto place? Or is that not food? It used to be the adorable gas station with the fish and photo op cars
23:55 sad to hear the news on Pizza Planet. I remember that place being...at least ok...at least warm. But cold pizza for $9? Sad 2/10
25:35 only had the chicken but 10/10
Please do one of these for DCA :)
Thanks!

Except for the Tatooine Sunset I can't recommend anything at Ronto Roasters.
I miss the BBQ Chicken Potato at Harbour Galley.
Im never this early!! Great recommendations!
