This was a COVID show (less than 50% capacity, social distancing, no singing, yelling or shouting, and clapping only) despite that the ladies still rocked the venue down. No one plays Thrash LIVE better than these musicians. They are all petite thus the heels and white gowns to make them stand out easier on stage and be seen better. Asami/vocals at 4' 10" blasts out with the thunder behind her while Haruna/drums at 4' 9" is a beast on that massive kit that she dominates. The M&M show on guitar is an experience to behold with every song offering. They are the complete package and will finally have their world tour this year that will make them a lot more fans worldwide.
Just so you know, they are never off, they play with in-ears along a clicktrack! And they are locked in!
Enjoyed your reaction! The drummer was accenting the "offbeat" which is not that rare in rock. For some people like myself it does require concentration especially at such a fast tempo. For Haruna everything looks like it is second nature. No matter how many BPM she is laying down. Although I have enjoyed so many standout classic rock and metal drummers over the decades, she is currently my favorite. Not flashy but efficient, and sophisticated, in her fills, cymbal work, tuning selection and that relentless drive in which she seems to never tire. Never have I seen such a stabbing, punching, laying it down percussionist in my life., and she never seems to perspire! Overall I find her mesmerizing and always hope they put even more split cameras on her work, and for an entire concert. It could be a separate album entitled "Lovebites... A night with Haruna." Would love it!
In many ways Haruna’s drum work reminds me of Philthy Animal Taylor from the Motörhead early days. And in some ways she sounds even faster and more rock steady.

Lovebites has been around since 2016, and the women became more famous worldwide after performing at several major festivals, mainly in Europe, starting in
2018 - Wacken - Open Air in Germany
2018 - Bloodstock Open Air in England
2019 - Graspop Metal Meeting Festival in Belgium
2019 - Download Festival in Spain.
In 2020, their career was abruptly interrupted by Corona. But they masterfully overcame the crisis, got married and had babies. In 2021 the founder Miho left the band for personal reasons and it went into a hiatus which lasted until the end of 2022. In the fall of 2022 they found a young fantastic bass player and in 2023 they released a new LP. The new LP reached the 5th place in the Japanese charts. Japan is the 2nd largest music market in the world and it is very rare that in these times a rock band comes so far forward.

They are phenomenal. Elite musicians. The 2 guitarists (Midori & Miyako) are about as talented as you will find anywhere.
Heels, princess dresses...and 4-5 months pregnant. Total bad-assery
When LOVEBITES thrash, they do it as well (or better) than any of the legendary thrash bands of the 80s and 90s. I love the Iron Maiden gallop in a thrash song.

You can be sure that any syncopation you're hearing is fully intentional. They're the most exact playing band I've ever heard. Probably something to make the transition to the last verse more interesting, since they have two verses instead of just one after the big solo break (which IMO is a slight compositional misstep in an otherwise perfect song; it's slightly anticlimactic); I tend to think that they do little flourishes like that just to keep themselves interested. I sometimes wish they would play more proggy material, because they could play rings around 99 percent of prog bands out there.

I'd go with Judgement Day: you get to see their new bassist, and it's a cool concept video that ties into the meaning of the song. Also, one and half minutes of guitar solos and some bass artistry. Afterwards, I'd watch Stand And Deliver and just enjoy the vibe.

Right. At some point she needs to see the current Lovebites. As far as the band is concerned, I remember them mentioning that they have improved, and I do agree with them on this. If I didn’t, I would certainly say as much, as I’m not opposed to criticism. Although both songs are good, Judgement Day is a better and more impressive song than Stand and Deliver.

I think my point was just confirming that I think Judgement Day should come before Stand and Deliver.
This was during Covid and there was restrictions on what the audience can do. They had to wear masks and no cheering. Still an incredible performance! Lovebites!❤🤘🏼
Applause was allowed. And when you watch this concert, you can hear that the audience applauds after every song. Spectators were prohibited from shouting, singing, moving around the hall, violating social distancing (a certain distance was maintained between spectators) and other anti-Covid restrictions.

Even white costumes can be dyed in many colors with colored lighting.
LOVEBITES' songs incorporate various metal genres, and the lyrics and songs have many different aspects, so the white costume makes sense.

The main principles of the band presented by Miho, the founder and first bassist of LOVEBITES, are as follows.
①Heavy metal (basic policy)
②All English lyrics (strategy for global expansion)
③White costumes (Most metal bands wear black costumes, and if these short girls wore black costumes, they would be hidden, so they wear white costumes to contrast and stand out.)
④High heels (to compensate for short height)
Miho also thought about the visual effects on stage.
Asami will modify stage lighting effects etc. on-site.
For white costumes, each person requests their preferences and ideas from the costume staff.
About the dresses. When Lovebites toured Europe as the opening act for Dragonforce a French metal magazine interviewed Asami (singer) and asked her about the dresses. Her response was, "We're girls, we don't want to dress like boys. Also, we are all small and the white and gold makes it easier to see us on stage." and they are SMALL. Haruna (drums) is only 4' 9", Miyako (dark haired guitarist) is the tallest at 5' 2". Although, I understand that the new bassist, Fami, is just a little bit taller at 5' 2 1/2".

There’s just something about Asami wearing a party dress and singing “the gates of hell” that gets me every time! 😅
Those triplets as they come out of the solos and back into the main body of the song are so taught!For anyone that doesn’t play drums, or even those who do, to play at the speeds they do and hit the snare consistently on the off beat is insanely difficult. I’ve heard many metal bands where the song is so fricking fast that the snare ends up being on the beat instead off, and it can vary within the song. Haruna does a better job than most from preventing this.

For something that is fast and furious, try Winds of Transylvania, Vlad Love video. This was written to be the opening to a crazy off the wall anime series. For a studio video, this featuring their new bassist Fami, Stand and Deliver from their official YT channel is a good one. It shows the band members having fun together as well as being a great song.

Even if you feel none are bad/wrong, not all are equal, and so some songs will be better than others. It is certainly fine if you believe none of them stand out, but to me burying the better choices in with the rest of them, doesn’t help a reactor pick the better ones out. Better songs like Judgement Day also show the current Lovebites (which she obviously needs to see by now), as well as their current improvements.
It kind of reminds me of when someone lists 20 Japanese bands to react to, and Lovebites is buried in somewhere. Why don’t they just pick their top 3 favorite bands? But I guess I just don’t understand.

To get to know LoveBites better, to see how diverse they are, you need to check out at least 70 - 80% of the catalog, and not be limited to the standard list of songs and mvs (10 - 15% of the catalog), that are usually recommended (imposed) by “fans”.Do you think that you know which music video a particular person should watch and which one should not? Do you think that you know which music video a particular person will like the most and which one will like the least? Do you think you know which LoveBites songs the person will like? Do you think you know which songs the person won't like? Are you a God who knows everything in advance regarding the musical tastes of any person? If you think so, then you are a very self-confident person.
Because of "fans" like you, 70 - 80% of LoveBites' songs remain unknown to most reactors. Because "fans" like you always recommend the same few songs. Based on your personal tastes. I talked a lot with you. You will never recommend many of LoveBites' great songs (M.D.O., Thunder Vengeance, etc.). You will recommend 10-15% of the songs in the catalog to reactors. This is what I call “misleading the reactors.” I recommend the entire catalog, the entire range of creativity of this unique band. So that the reactors themselves determine which songs will become their favorites. This is where we differ from each other.

It's good that their acquaintance with LoveBites was not limited to just A Frozen Serenade. That's why these people still listen to LoveBites!

Winds Of Transylvania, Dystopia Symphony, The Final Collision, Golden Destination, Paranoia, Shadowmaker, Rising, When Destinies Align, Bravehearted, Set The World On Fire are much more interesting songs than Holy War.
Holy War is undoubtedly a good song, but it is inferior to the songs listed above (melodies, complexity of the compositions, guitar parts, bass parts, etc.).
But at the same time, Holy War collected 2 to 30 times more views than the songs I named.
For example, Golden Destination is an excellent song, with complex and magnificent parts of two guitars, bass, and drums! But it has only 776 thousand views, and Holy War has 2.5 million views. Although the Golden Destination video was published on the channel earlier than the Holy War video! Golden Destination is much more interesting in all respects than Holy War.
It's not fair! The reason for this injustice is the “recommendations” of fans who, apart from 10-15% of the LoveBites catalog, do not want to recommend anything else! These are not fans, but some kind of pests.🙆♂

The fact that you are calling them more interesting than Holy War, is actually what I wanted you to do. Pick out preferred songs. Although I wouldn’t pick all the same stuff, if just going by your choices, I would certainly take Dystopia Symphony, Paranoia, and Set The World On Fire, over Holy War. Personally, I don’t understand why Holy War is recommended as much as it is. It’s good, just a bit overrated. To be fair to those people that recommend it a lot, Holy War does have a good live version available, when not every song I like does. But again, I would take Set The World On Fire (which does have a good live version) over Holy War. Judgement Day is also better than Holy War, in many ways.

Even if I agree with you, that Golden Destination is overall a better song than Holy War, there are many factors you are not evaluating here. Golden Destination on their TH-cam channel is a music video, while Holy War is a live video, and people who want to showcase Lovebites technical proficiency, will tend to go for live versions, which explains part (not all) of the viewer differences on the channel. Also that music video wasn’t good IMO, even though the song is good. Also consider that Holy War got many people into Lovebites (the live songs did that more than music videos), which is part of the reason they keep recommending it when there are better choices available now. Old habits. Still though, I wish they would recommend it less often. I truly think it’s overrated.
Edit: My favorite song is Solider Stands Solitarily, while the live versions of that song are not very good, so I understand why people recommend it less. Just something to consider.

Although I'll probably get crucified for this, there is a similar issue with the live version of 'Holy War' live at zep city. After the guitar solos there is a section of duel guitar where the girls seem to be trying to get back into sync.

To the reactor, I am posting this here because a malicious troll who has been posting very terrible and defamatory things about Lovebites, the fanbase and the reactors has decided to insert himself into this comments section here. Note that this malicious troll has multiple trolling accounts on YT, but also note that he is just ONE troll. He has so far being blocked/banned from 22 other reaction channels for trolling. Hint, he attaches himself to 'emotional' comment threads to add fuel to the fire with his malicious comments in order to try to sow discord among the different bands' fan communities, and there's one comment thread in here that fits that profile. No prizes for guessing who the vile troll is.
Wolfpack, the detailed summary/report is getting too long, so I'm providing a shorter summary based on this vile troll's most recent and insidious activities. For those who are already familiar with my troll summary/report, this is essentially section 7 of that report. However, if you're new to my summary/report, then head over to one of the recent Lovebites reactions where the troll has appeared for a full, detailed summary.
The vile troll that we all know of has recently (over the last couple of months) introduced 'new' trolling accounts on YT. These 'new' trolling accounts are designed to infiltrate the Wolfpack and to sow discord INSIDE the Lovebites community. Below are the details :
(i) Most of these 'new' accounts have just posted 'benign' comments so far, but be alert to possible changes in the behavior of these accounts into something malicious.
(ii) Recently, some of these 'new' trolling accounts which have been 'benign', a few have begun to attack the reactors, and this makes the Wolfpack look bad with the reaction channel owners. Therefore, be alert to such ploys by the troll.
(iii) Some of these 'new' trolling accounts will eventually play 'good cop' & 'bad cop' and they'll 'talk' between themselves to attempt to create further deception and chaos. For example, some will pretend to be 'good cops' or 'pro-Lovebites' or 'pro-reactor', and others will pretend to be 'bad cops' or 'anti-Lovebites' or 'anti-reactor'. This is a tactic the malicious troll has attempted many times before, so watch out for this.
(iv) Recently, the 'anti-Lovebites' accounts have attacked the reactors if the reaction was favorable to Lovebites, and these accounts would 'say good things' about the reactors if the reaction was not favorable to Lovebites. The reverse was true for the 'pro-Lovebites' accounts. So reactors, please be aware of this happening in the comments sections of your reactions.
(v) In a few recent reactions, some 'pro-Lovebites' accounts had also 'attacked' the 'anti-Lovebites' accounts in the comments sections in order to attain 'credibility' with the Wolfpack and/or the reactors. Don't be fooled by these fake 'gestures' from the 'pro-Lovebites' accounts.
(vi) This vile troll has also attempted to implicate genuine Lovebites fans as 'trolls'. As such, he was attempting to sow confusion and chaos, so keep an alert eye out for this if he tries it again.
(vii) Below is the information pertaining to these 'new' trolling accounts. These're the details I have spotted so far :
(a) Many of his trolling account names (but not every account!) have references to a game called warhammer. If you Googled his 'account name' and 'warhammer', you'll often get a hit.
(b) Also, many of these trolling accounts were created between the years 2019-2023, and some even as far back in time as 2012.
(c) The vile troll has recently been found out about this warhammer connection and he has embarked on changing the account names to more 'random naming conventions'. Note that the troll can change the account names on YT, but he CAN'T change the dates the accounts were created.
(d) Many of these accounts (again, not every account!) do not have a pic for an avatar, just a letter. And when you click on the accounts, there is generally no content or 1-2 token videos. Of course, these facets can also apply to genuine Lovebites fans but it's a pattern to watch out for.
(e) Note that once he gets found out again, the vile troll will need to change the account names again, or he'll start adding avatar pics and more 'content' in these accounts. Look out for these to start happening in the near future.
(f) As mentioned earlier, these trolling accounts are currently posting 'benign' comments and they're also there to attract 'likes' in an attempt to build 'credibility' among the Wolfpack and the reactors. As long as the comments remain 'benign, we should just leave them alone, but be alert for the comments to turn 'vicious'.
(g) Remember when I mentioned that one of the things this vile troll can't change ? That applies to the dates of ALL the accounts he has created and will create. One of the easiest ways to spot some of these trolling accounts (doesn't matter if they're 'anti-Lovebites' or 'pro-Lovebites' accounts), are those that are created very recently in 2024. Some were even created on the same day the reactions came out.
(h) Note that the malicious troll is not going through the trouble to do all these just for the sake of fun, he definitely has some vile intentions with all his perverted efforts.
(viii) This section is designed to make the community aware of some of the latest actions perpetrated by this malicious troll :
(a) Many from the Wolfpack are already familiar with the fact that this vile troll is a leach and a scavenger.
(b) He searches for comment threads that have emotional posts about Lovebites vs other band(s), or Lovebites vs other bands-type of reactions, and he then latches on to them to pour fuel to the fire. He does this by inserting his 'anti-Lovebites' and 'pro-Lovebites' trolling YT accounts into the comment thread or comments section, and these accounts will 'talk' among themselves or 'attack' each other. His hope is to wind up the Lovebites fans against the non-Lovebites fans from other bands, and vice-versa. As a lot of the Wolfpack know by now, this insidious action is designed to sow spite between the different fanbases.
(c) If there is no comment thread with emotional posts in a reaction, he will then attempt to create his own by also inserting his 'anti-Lovebites' and 'pro-Lovebites' trolling YT accounts into that comments section to try to instigate vitriolic comments from genuine fans. IF HE ATTEMPTS TO DO THIS, DO NOT FALL INTO HIS TRAP !! He knows that the Wolfpack can sometimes be a bit emotional when protecting Lovebites, and he's trying to exploit that.
(d) Hence, do not forget that one of this malicious troll's vile purposes in life is to create discord among the different fanbases.
I will provide further updates to the fanbases/communities and the reactors when new information becomes available.

Just a quick heads up that this troll possesses multiple YT trolling accounts and he has been known to rear his ugly head again under another guise in some reaction channels that has already banned/blocked him. But don't worry, us fans will keep an alert eye out for you.

While the members of LOVEBITES are human and obviously capable of making mistakes, I believe Haruna's timing is impeccable here.
