As a dishwasher of 6 years, it was nice for JP to acknowledge that it is extremely complex. In the restaurant business we are considered unskilled labor and get little respect for our contributions. So thanks JP, you made me smile this morning before I go in to do it again today.

Your comment caught my eye, because when JP said dishwashing was an extremely complex task, myself being in the computer and data communications field, the comment threw me into a thought experiment that made me realize, for instance, the massive amount of computing power required just to determine what is a dirty plate, and what is just the decorative pattern on the plate. That alone would require a massive bank of computers that have optic ability, robotics, and the programs coding would be damn near infinite. Bottom line is, kudos to all the dishwashers out there, thank you for your very complex abilities.

@@normanshadow1 A good manager is one that rises from workers, I meet some of them and they are truly one of the best, so your presumption is wrong. Also you presume what a manager job should be while you never being there so is equally true that you don't know. However a good manager is always good with people and his / her number one function is to manage people and if it lacks that, even if is a good worker and can take over your job in case of need, he is still a bad manager.

He has a very good point about the utility of the Left. They speak for the dispossessed when the hierarchies have become stagnant, corrupt, and tyrannical. It's (extreme) Leftist types (folks that can't rationally and reasonably be debated) that sabotage the reasonable, rational Left. He underscores that there is a psychological, temperamental, personality-based proclivity to be more left- or right- leaning. I was very much on the Left as a youth, now more center right, or center left, depending on the issue. He's a very eloquent thinker.

I do not see it being possible to be on the left and love Jordan Peterson. The philosophy that Jordan Peterson espouses is not at all genuine, wise, or compassionate from the point of view of the left. You can think Peterson is wise or you can be a leftist. One or the other. If you think you're both, then there's something you're not getting about at least one of them because they are not compatible.

Mr Peterson, your skill and integrity to reason through ideas is amazing to watch. I turn of most conversations around the world when I see emotion interfere with a theory. When I was a young man (50 now) I hated the world and especially authority and those doing well financially. In my young mind, I came up with a solution for my problem. I am a big man and very talented in the fighting arena around my circles, I was thinking one day that I am capable of taking by force anything I want, I wasn't worried about the Law. The one thing that stopped me and eventually changed me to the man I am today was that I believed in a power that was bigger then me and the world, not only was that power bigger then me, the consequences of any negative actions I do, will carry on for me past my time on this earth. I am a very gentle man these days and work with people with violent backgrounds and trauma in all areas. I am this way because i have changed for the bigger picture not what this world currently values. I have found many men from violent traumatic backgrounds, reason these very concepts as a definition of purpose in this world. Thankyou

It seems to me you have taken on a heavy load, just getting people to be willing sit down, and then to listen, and then to open up and talk, that is an almost insurmountable task, and I suspect an immense amount of frustration, but incredibly rewarding and fulfilling. Having been where they are now would have to be your biggest asset, which goes to show your biggest failings can turn out to become your greatest strength. You make me feel a bit envious, I'm 56 and yet to find a worthy path in life, I'm still searching through.

Feelings, Emotions, Music, Art etc....You tell me the Universe can. I will laugh in your face so hard. As it's not Testable, Observable, Repeatable. Anywhere in the Universe.
So these two are second rate. When it comes to Meta Physics. Higher Dimensions. The concept of an Outside Agency. God, Creator. It's above them...
      To quote Spock...
      How do you Feel?
      I don't understand the question....
Why you don't have to be religious. To spot people that live their lives under the rules of Situational Ethics. Which is dangerous. As long as I mean well. It's ethical and moral. Up too and including Murder. Why we have Laws, Standing Armies, Jails, Prisons, Police. etc...As they would kill us all and burn it all down.

I was really happy to see Curt mention Donald Hoffman, however briefly, because the discussion up until that point made me realise how compatible in many ways JP's views on perception (and its fundamental relationship with consciousness) could be with Hoffman's model, which left me hankering for Curt to mention him. I would really love to see a dialogue between JP and Hoffman, because I think there is a lot of shared ground, or intuition, between them.
That said, I'm not entirely sure how fruitful it would be since they seem to be coming at similar problems from such radically different disciplines, with very different reasons for doing so. There may be overlap in thinking, and I think in some sense they are converging on similar underlying ideas, but when you start from such different places in such complex terrain, sometimes you fail to see how you're even exploring the same territory.

The discussion around 50:00 is beyond fascinating: If our most fundamental mode of interaction with (perception of) the world is use/utilization, since the utilization have a very strong connotation of power, then at the very base of our reality is power ... this brings us full circle back to the issue of post-modernism and its corrosive effect on the modern civilizations (as outlined earlier in the talk).

@@gsav1320 You never check Bible facts, cuz Christian brainwashing makes you a fabulous rube! If you ever did check Bible facts, you would find that Jesus Christ appeared when the Jews failed in their revolt against Rome in 70 CE. The Hebrews in Palestine created Jesus Christ aka Maccabbees ll. That way they could do business under a new name and feed their families and avoid massacres. The Apostle Paul was an excellent example of this. He was about to enter Damascus and saw that there was a Jewish massacre there. So he became an instant Christian. On the high ground between three continents, the ancient Hebrews created Moses and Jehovah in 950 BCE. Checking Bible facts helps you with law courts, and avoids delusions and paranoia. When you watch on rumble the documentary JFK to 9/11 everything is a rich man's trick you will see both Democrat and Republican are both Nazis... The Nazis were created to retaliate against the Russian people that beheaded the cousins of the British royals and took over the castle kicking them out and keeping them from traveling there. This was a retaliatory strike for them doing this they created Hitler with two purposes maintain the kingdom and get rid of populations in Russia Europe and all sorts of other places. Hitler was controlled by ☠️👁️💸
Why do you think Hitler invaded Russia in the winter! His whole purpose was to shut down communism because that's what he was controlled and told to do. Operation paperclip Nazi supposedly lose all the Jews instead of given homes back in their own countries are shipped out to a massive concentration camp in the desert called Israel!!! Anti-communism beliefs get pushed into America and now this is accepted by both sides that this is bad and Hitler wins an America is the new Nazi regime. Search for this documentary on TH-cam but you have to scroll for a long long time because they do not want you to see it but I'm rumbled it will be the very top video under that search term JFK to 911 everything is Rich Man's trick. It's almost 4 hours long just watch it.
