Awesome info! One little correction for you. Princess Plus gets you 2 premium dessert per day. Not per cruise. Which if you love those premium deserts. That can really add up in the savings.
Do they have servers at the buffet? I think the premier package would be best for us. NO Kids but I am a grandma so this might not be the right cruise for a family trip. I like the breakfast delivery just for the coffee. Could be nice to cut my husband off WI Fi. For a few days Monopoly money would make it easy to pay for everything. ❤😂🎉
Some of the buffet has servers, but it is mostly self serve. I suggest washing your hands before and after getting your food just in case others don’t wash their hands. Princess Premiere is an easy way to make your cruise more luxurious. I think younger kids are fine on Princess. Teenagers might prefer NCL or Royal Caribbean with their rock climbing walls, ziplines, and water slides. And don’t we all wish we could use monopoly $$ to pay for our cruise. 😂😊Happy Sailing.
Great idea. But for now, I did make this one that talks about the updated Premier package. Princess Plus vs. Premier: Which Upgrade is Worth It Now? th-cam.com/video/AzE0Kq_MP48/w-d-xo.html
Ooo. Emma. I’m honored. Thank you for hosting. I appreciate you sharing your experiences with a newbie. I find your content and style so inspiring. Looking forward to a lifetime of cruising and growing my channel like you have grown yours. Cheers.
Love all of the info!!! I so appreciate how you broke it down to help decide if the premiere or plus packages are truly a value. I might want to do the fitness classes and enjoy smoothies and tea. Would you suggest upgrading?
Thank you for the review. I have Crohn's Disease and thus cannot and should not drink alcohol, but for me, the Primer Drinks package is absolutely worth getting for $80.00 per day on my upcoming European cruise. 1. I have a minisuite for my upcoming cruise. Gratuities are $17. per person, $80 - $17 for tips = 63 dollars. 2. I do my best to exercise for my autoimmune disease, so I will participate in fitness classes, especially yoga, which helps with my illness. Since I will only be able to take fitness classes on half of the days due to excursions booked, I estimate $8.00 for classes-for $63 - $8 = $55. 3. I like smoothies every day, sometimes twice a day = $55 - 12 = $43 4. On cruise ships, if I have a drinks package, I like bottled water - eight bottles per day, especially if I am going on excursions - 8 x $2.5 = $10.00 = 18% gratuity = $11.80. So, $43 - $11.80 - = $31.20 5. I am running two NODEs for two different cryptocurrencies. For this purpose, I need two computers, plus an iPad and my iPhone. I can use Messenger as an interface for phone calls and texting, and I have an iPad for use on the ship. $31.20 - 25 = $6.20 for the cost of the Wifi. 6. I like casual dining-about half the days I am at sea-so instead of $14.99, I divide that number by half, which is $7.50. So $6.20 - $7.50 = I am ahead by $1.30 cents. 7. I enjoy specialty coffees and teas, so $7.50 - $1.30 + $7.50 means I am ahead of the game by $8.80. 8. It is nice to have unlimited professional photographs delivered to my cell phone or USB and three printed pictures. So, I would add even more value to the $8.80. It is nice to know that I am taking advantage of things, even if I cannot drink alcohol.
Wow! You have put a lot of thought and calculations into your decision. I bet you get great deals on your cruises too. I agree that Princess has the best all inclusive package out there. Have a lovely cruise!😊
If you let me know what ship you are sailing on, I can let you know what dining is included. As far as drinks go. Tea, regular coffee, juice and milk in the morning are included.
Hi Kristie. Your videos are so helpful. My mom 84 and myself are taking the 2025 Alaskan Cruise on the Discovery Princess. I am trying to learn as much as possible before we go. We will have a balcony room and the plus package. I have a few questions. We will be leaving from Seattle ( and we are going a day early ✅). Do the hotels usually have shuttle service to the ships? And what hotel would you recommend? My mom also has decided that on port days she would rather, relax, shop and eat or do an activity on the ship. Is there enough to do that we will be entertained on the ship and are the stores and restaurants open on port days? Thank you 😊
How fun! You will have a great time with your mom. I can’t help you with a hotel since I haven’t sailed out of Seattle, yet. But, as far as things to do on the ship while at port, Princess has activities throughout the day, so you will always have something to do. And, you will be able to eat throughout the days. The buffet will be available for breakfast and lunch and as well as one of the dining rooms will be open for breakfast and lunch. The pool deck food offerings will be available too and the International Cafe. Happy sailing.
Thanks for the question. The menu in the included main dining room changes daily; however, there are a few items that stay the same daily called Princess favorites. 😊
It seems to me that if you are sailing on Princess and want wi Fi, your best bet is to go with Princess Plus or Premiere. You get better WiFi and with its included gratuities, it is worth it. Check out this video where I compare the packages. Princess Plus vs. Premier: Which Upgrade is Worth It Now? th-cam.com/video/AzE0Kq_MP48/w-d-xo.html
Thank you. My mom is 83 ( very active) and I’m 62. She wants to take the Alaskan cruise on Princess. Neither one of us has been on a cruise so I am trying to find the best possible deal that we can. The Princess Plus sounds like what we want. Let me know if the other package is better. We do want alcohol drinks.
You can ask your Room Steward for extra pillows, a bathrobe, a fan, extra ice and there is no extra cost. Continental breakfast room service is included in your fare, but if you have the standard fare, other room service is extra. If you pay for Princess Plus or Princess Premiere, you can use OceanNow delivery to have food delivered anywhere on the ship, including your cabin.
I 100% agree! I even like eating in the main dining room for breakfast. Yummy omelets and eggs benedict. Thanks for watching and commenting! Happy sailing!
Thank you for the feedback. I’ll dial it down next time. Unfortunately once a video is active, I can’t adjust. I appreciate your comment as it will improve future offerings. I hope you subscribe to follow my growth in editing and content.
@@cruisingwithkristie I do appreciate your videos though.I sailed once on Princess cruise and loved it.I booked a Caribbean cruise on the Majestic Princess for 14 days in 2026.

Sound not sound like there is much to do for young couples that are active? No swmming? Rock Climbing? Movies? Mini Golf? Basketball? Ping Bong? Etc? Sounds more like an old ladys cruise to be honest.
If you are looking for rock climbing walla and water slide, you won’t find them on most Princess ships, they are on Sun Princess, the newest ship, but Princess Cruises offers a variety of activities for active young couples looking to stay entertained and engaged during their voyage. Here are some top suggestions: Adventure & Sports -Fitness Classes - Join yoga, pilates, spin, or Zumba sessions in the fitness center. -Sports Courts - Enjoy basketball, pickleball, or volleyball on outdoor courts. -Outdoor Jogging Track - Stay fit while taking in scenic ocean views. Recreation & Relaxation -The Sanctuary - Rent a cabana in this adults-only retreat for some peaceful couple’s time. -Poolside Fun - Cool off at one of the pools or relax in the hot tubs. -Movies Under the Stars - Watch movies on the outdoor screen, complete with blankets and popcorn. -Mini Golf - Challenge each other to a round on the mini-golf course. Exploration & Excursions -Shore Excursions - Go ziplining, snorkeling, or hiking at your destination. Nightlife & Entertainment -Skywalkers Nightclub - Dance the night away in a high-energy environment. -Live Performances - Enjoy Broadway-style shows, comedy acts, or live music. -Casino - Test your luck at the tables or slot machines. Food & Drink -Wine Tastings - Participate in a guided wine experience. -Specialty Dining - Savor romantic meals at venues like Crown Grill or Sabatini’s. -Mixology Classes - Learn to make signature cocktails.
Yes. That change occurred after this video aired. Here is a tip. Be SURE to reserve your specialty dining as soon as possible. I spoke with the host at Crown Grill on our recent cruise on Discovery Princess and he said since the change they are booked up every night.
Princess seems to have really reduced staffing as service is nowhere near what it used to be and their ratings show it. As an elite traveler, I like thousands of others, will be looking elsewhere. Princess has commoditized their business trying to be everything to everyone and not doing anything well.
I guess I just know the difference. Our experience on this he Majestic Princess last fall was great. We are cruising on Sapphire Princess in a few weeks. I’m curious to see how I feel about that experience.
Ya the prices out of San Francisco are highly overpriced,it’s nuts 2,200 for a seven day cruise on the standard plan for a interior room.have this funny feeling not much is included.

For me it really comes down to 1. If you can live without WI FI and 2. If you just like the convenience of not having to worry about extras.

Love the cost breakdown for the two packages!
Glad to help. My friend lives the photos, so she goes for premiere. I go with the plus for the drinks.

Do they offer infused milkshakes like Carnival?
I haven’t seen milk shakes, but the premium desserts look AMAZING!
So with the included main dinning does the menu stay the same each day or do they change it every night?
Thanks for the question. The menu in the included main dining room changes daily; however, there are a few items that stay the same daily called Princess favorites. 😊
How much extra money do you leave for a mini suite if you pay your gratuities up front?
Additionally tips are personal, but I generally leave $50 for a 7 day inside cabin cruise.
I think you can get Wi-Fi for up to four devices or Wi-Fi for one device. I wonder what those price comparisons are.
