these chefs and cooks must work like all night to prepare all this stuff just the amount of those small cakes is crazy the variety, unless they are already pre made and the ship brings them on board but i doubt it, if they are all made by hand on board than all the kitchen staff deserve a standing ovation, making that variety of food isnt easy at all and its very time consuming

I fell in love with the almond croissants! Had one every single day of my cruise to Mexico back in 2022 on Discovery Princess! One of the best things I’ve ever eaten! Most of their baked goods are incredible! If you need a quick bite to eat before the main dining room opens or the Horizon Court(lido buffet), this is a great option! This is a great spot for early risers! I highly recommend it! Thanks for another in depth food video! Outstanding!😊

Wow, they have really beefed up the offerings at the International Cafe! One thing I love about the IC is the fact that it's usually not as busy as the other venues - especially when you get there early, before other passengers wake up. The Piazza concept is the one unique feature that truly sets Princess apart from the other brands. What I love about the IC and the Piazza is the fact that you can get a meal on a grab-and-go basis (and it's good food, too!!), and then go sit down inside that space underneath the balcony, just across from the IC. Such a great cozy space to sit and people watch while you eat breakfast. Loved the Brie croissant and the Prosciutto croissant. Never knew they offered Beef Guinness Pie. Lots of new stuff on offer now. So wonderful... The IC is such a relaxing getaway from the frenetic nature of World Fresh Marketplace.
💯! IC is a great hangout spot- Princess has live music or fun activities going on there at the Piazza very often. Those jumbo croissants looked good- we were already pretty full so didn't get to try them. Pleasantly surprised to see that Beef Guinness Pie as well. Thanks for the comment Scott! 😊

For brekkie options, I really liked the croissants and frittatas/quiches with cheese. Love the almond croissant; especially lightly toasting it. The pistacio croissant is very sweet. The strawberry & chocolate are fun, but I wish I slightly toasted those. Maybe next time 😉.
In my everyday life, I don't eat sweets often. Even if I went on a 10 day cruise, I don't think I can taste all the desserts on the ship. I came back from our January cruise with sugsr withdrawals. Thank goodness Princess tries not to use too much sugar.
Yes that's one of the things we noticed was that Princess doesn't make the desserts very sweet, which is what we actually prefer as well. Appreciate you sharing your experiences with those particular pastries! 🙂

It's been a few years since I cruised Princess but they never had GF options like this before. That's why I stopped cruising with them because I have to stay GF and they never had many options for me. Maybe I'll give Princess another try!
Yeah we were impressed by their selection of gluten-free food, especially the sweets. You can also let crew members know and they might have some more GF selection in the back.
Another great video. The International Cafe on the Regal Princess was quite excellent and the staff always looked like they loved working there. The only drawback was the lack of a free beverage station.

And yeah it'd be nice to have the same drinks station at the International Cafe as the buffet, which Royal Caribbean has for their Cafe Promenade. That'd be especially convenient for Princess guests staying on the lower decks as well.

NGL, I think NCL 24-hour dining option the local is better. Nothing against the international cafe Princess has, but I really like being able to get wings whenever I want.
We’re getting on the Discovery Princess this Saturday and I’m definitely going to try the Raspberry Cheesecake if it’s available. Great video (like always) 😂

It seems that cream puffs are a polarizing dessert. They aren’t intended to be puffy or sweet. I can see that it wasn’t your cup of tea, yet I’d eat two of them. It was worth a try, though…. right?
Yeah definitely worth a try as they're not super big. Would love to hear what you think if you get to try them on Princess!

@@AspireToInspire_22 I just got off the Discovery Princess. I like the classic cruising approach that allows me to relax more on sea days so that I can adventure more in port. The captain always got us to port early and the cruise director was amazing! Definitely continue watching their food videos, the MDR is 95% identical and their reviews will help you avoid certain items.

Sure thing! They won't have a disposable container for you, but they can give you a plate or bowl and maybe a cover. If they don't have a cover, you can use a cloth napkin that comes with the utensils there and cover as needed.

Princess gratuity is $16 daily per person. You can buy wifi per person or share, which is what we do (one device at a time)
I am unfortunately dairy free, even baked dairy (like milk in a muffin). I didn't see anything labeled dairy free. Ìs there anything there I may have missed seeing?
Yeah at the International Cafe they didn't labeled anything as dairy free- only gluten-free, no-sugar added, and if it contains nuts. But the fruits and some of the smoothies should be dairy free, and they could be some other items that are- the crew member can let you know.
@TravelTouristVideos thanks, I will try that. Although I have found that when I ask in such circumstances the staff really don't know what is in the items. They have to go find someone to ask which often takes a very long time. I guess dairy allergy is just not so common as gluten and nut issues.
What about gluten free, low sugar options?
There were several of those shown in the video (the captions will have "Gluten Free" or "No Sugar Added" at the end of the names)
@@TravelTouristVideos yes but the selection has been pretty poor in the past. The items have been tasteless and boring. Many passengers could benefit from sugar free morsels. Diabetics and pre-diabetics in particular. Perhaps then we wouldn’t put on a kilogram a week.
Too bad they took away the salads. There were several we used to enjoy.
I forgot about the salads. I guess they decided to replace them with 🍩. Do you remember what were the options?
The salads changed daily but some of our favorites were the orzo salad, Greek Salad, Waldorf Salad, and a chicken salad.
Wow sounds like they had a nice salad selection! For afternoon snack, we did see some salads available at the buffet.
I think they put the chicken salad sandwich in tea time according to their video. I think I remember the orzo salad.
