- Howdy fellow adventurers, in this episode Wavey and I take you on a little circle tour of Kings Bay (Crystsl River) by boat to charge the battery bank back up. After that we launch the kayak and paddle up toward Three Sisters Springs to see the manatee up close. They really are interesting creatures. Thanks for coming along.

Minni eats a brand called Victor. She's been eating it since she was weened. It's a higher quality brand, but what I like best is she utilizes the nutrients so well that she has small poops. Also it seems to keep her weight balanced.

Man survives pandemic selling solar panels….. batteries dead on his boat. Hahahaha. Good friend has big boarding and grooming kennel and I worked for a mixed practice veterinarian group . I wrangled the big critters .
They both used high end foods for it was more protein vs filler ( corn , cellulose etc ) Fed less amount and less end result as the filler isn’t digestible.
Many people swear by raw food for dog diets by that’s a hassle in itself also . Hope it helps. Prices going up don’t help for sure.
I know right...the panels I sell are way too big for this, but I'll find something. I think the boat has a drain somewhere, the batteries die quicker than they should. Brand new too
Costco brand dog food is supposed to be really good. That’s what I feed my four legged friends

The other island by the main spring and sanctuary is Banana Island. :) Great job capturing some of the magic of the manatees!

Great episode, Yet another once in a life adventure. Manatee...
Also the key, I would forget about the key to pull start everytime 🤣. It's a great fall back, my merc 25 HP has pull start on the houseboat. 👍. Sailboat depth, mine, 5ft. So I need the dinghy to ⛱️, But some have swing keels that pull up so you can beach the boat. Great video bud

Careful when the Sea Cows break wind Brenton! I hear its the leading cause of greenhouse emissions! I guess I didn't realize how big a manatee could get! No comment on dog food! There are some really "passionate" people out there when it comes to dog food! The catfish and eggs looked yummy! Just needed some toast! 😉
I think Bill Gates sunk 14 million into methane canisters for manatee farts...thank goodness! I agree on the toast. I already eat too many sweets and carbs...hence all the walking ;)

We used to stay on Sunshine and the manatees would come next to the boat. We feed him lettuce and give him her fresh water they can drink about 50 gallons,would put the hose right in its mouth for about 15 minutes. Your making me jealous would love to be there but my wife doesn't care for it long term. I keep watching!

Dog food ,I would stay away from the big dog food businesses as the money game is also connected to the veterinary's may own them or have a deal on the side...bad animal health makes them money too...too many dog's getting sick,look around....
Good advice Mary. I've heard some brands are made in China and dogs have been poisoned.
We feed our golden retriever Blue Buffalo. Yes expensive as hell but damn he's healthy. Best perk to expensive food I've found is our dog dosen't stink like other people's dogs we vistis.
I think there is something to the size of the poops as a telltale for quality of food. I've seen that brand, I'll give it a try. Thanks!

have you ever thought about naming your boat i was thinking.... freewill.... would be a good name. my beagle would need lots of ears to get it off the ground lol
That reminds me of Rush of course;) I've had a few ideas based on Freewill, but its complicated by a more evolved belief in freewill having to do as a gift from God. I'll work on it on this trip to Tennessee. Stay tuned! ;)

I have used Purina dry for both my cats and dogs for 50 years or more, and my pets almost always live to 20-25 years.....I have a new kitten and she was quite interested in Wavey. Wavey wants a Manatee burger......Good video! Oh, my Santana 22 :miniature ocean racer/cruiser had a solid fixed cast iron keel and drew 5 feet.
That's a proven track record Don...I'll feel blessed to have Wavey 15+years.

I like the name too. I have a lo g history with the word "Vagabond" since it's also a really good alt travel book written by my friend Ed Buryn back in the 60s 70s and 80s. I did a Nosy Beagle Interview with him here on ny channel if you're interested
