@@scooterrehab6295 Officilay one off course has to dose things very precisley but polyester is flexible enough to work with this rough visual aid. Dry time might still vary but it'll get you into the ball park in the end.
Your appraoch reminds me much of that of Paolo Martin. Not a very well known name but he designed some true classics like the Moto Guzzi 850 Le Mans 1! He also styled many Piaggo scooters of the 1980's with a similar hands on approach. So you are in excellent company.😃😃 Have a look at his own video's on TH-cam for an impression.
