It's cool to see another rogue like similar to Hades! As for other games to try out, "The Last Spell" might be up your alley. Should be easy on the gpu too.

Been playing this game for a while now, got 200 hours in. From the time it was in super EA up to now is greatly improve! It’s a must have for fans of this genre

I have owned this game for a while(early access), hadn't played in like 6 months, it had been very mid. I checked it out again today for the 1.o launch and was very impressed with the changes to bosses and the overall feel of combat.
Ooooh. That's good to know, because I also was in the same boat. My experience of this game was pretty mid, mostly because I didn't the combat was good enough to replay constantly.
hey mort, since you have reviewed prey from arkane before i am wondering whether or not you are familiar with the two dishonored titles, also from arkane studios. i absolutely love them, especially the gameplay of part 2. it's the first game where i recently went for all the achievements and that process was super fun. since that kind of stuff is right up your alley and they are also just great games in general i am curious to know your position on that franchise. if you like the immersive sim kind of gameplay akin to prey and (to a much lesser extent) bioshock, i think you'll also love those games.
I'd love to see 100% Dishonored videos, too!

Oh yeah, I watched a few videos of this game...maybe a year ago, while it was still in early access. Looks like the game finally released 2 days ago. Well, I was already waiting for this one, so I don't need any incentive to purchase it.
Been trying to wrap my head around what I like about your presentation style so much, when so many other gaming TH-camrs come across as slimy and disingenuous to me. In a word, "Honesty". You're not doing unrefined 'hot takes', but you're also not so over-produced that any sincerity or authenticity gets lost under a gilded veneer of BS. You are very 'full disclosure' but never in a way that feels like your are oversharing or trying to build a cult of personality or anything. Just some observations. I think you are striking a very good balance, I'm sure it takes a bit of work and your efforts aren't lost on me.
I want more info on story, like how it fares against hades, as that is what made hades hades

Hey could you check out the game Space Wreck? It has the foundation of a real hidden gem. Small scale but lots of options with the gameplay being basically Fallout. It's like a lighthearted and actual fun version of Colony Ship

I'll give this game a second chance now that it is fully released. I've played on the EA time and got this bug wich my char was immortal no matter what I did, so I ended up refunding it.
Looks like it has a neat sense of humor, gives off some “Grim Fandango vibes” in its art style. But “Hades but 2d platformer” is basically Dead cells, which is a fenomenal rogue lite! Unfortunately this kinda looks like Dead cells but worse… :-p
Amazing movement and visuals. But Rogue Legacy 2 is much better

I can strongly recommend Hollow Knight. I think that's a closer inspiration to Have a nice death than hades.
Sounded good until you said permanent upgrades 👎. So it’s a grinder game with no focus on a run being a winning run until you grind permanent upgrades. I just can’t stand this sub genre of roguelikes.
As someone who plays Have a Nice Death, you can beat the game without having a single permanent upgrade if you are good enough.
