Sonpari vs ratna vs arka Aruna .. Arka Aruna also same hybrids like sonpari .. it's a dwarf variety .. Is sonpori a dwarf variety? Is this decease resistance
Sonpari is not dwarf, but has fairly ok disease resistance. Whats important is that it flowers even during warm winters in south Florida whereas many FL varieties don’t flower in warm winter years. I will try to taste Arka aruna next time i travel to India
Solid in pulp and breaks into juice in the mouth and similar colour/size, Mankurads are like how you described except they are Sweet in taste, available in April/may. Also try Hilario (manghilar) available May/June, they are sweeter, but are only limited to Goa.

I have ten Sonpari mango trees. It is ripe naturally, very nice aroma and taste. Its keepig quality is also good and size of fruit also good. No fiber mango. I am planting further more Sonpari mango trees.I am from Village Awakhal, Tehsil, Shinor, Dist: Vadodara, Gujarat state, India.
I have son pari in ground for 2 years. It’s 6 feet tall now and 4 feet wide. The tree flowers every year, but doesn’t hold any fruit compared with the other trees I have.
Ours was a scion from Tropical Acres, grafted April 10, 2020. Flowered and held fruit in 2021 and 2022. The first year fruits had bad taste and flesh deformity due to deficiency. This is the 2nd year fruiting. We have a lot of pollinators in the garden, esp the day blooming jasmine behind it constantly has a fog of butterflies and bees. Hope you get fruits next year.
No, Alampur baneshan has long internodes and grows vertically up so i would not classify it as suitable for high density planting(dwarf). It does not give many flushes so it does grow slow if not irrigated daily. Ours is dependent on rainfall and it has grown slowly but grown vertically up. In my experience Bombay tasted best out if the three but i haven’t tasted all three at the same time so it is hard to tell.
@@growpuravida Some nurseries specify it as "Dwarf" which is misleading... Also some nurseries have both Imam Pasand and Alampur Baneshan on their list. As far as I know, there is only Imam Pasand in US. Which one should I buy? Imam Pasand is the one with white flesh and very complex taste, right? Or not..?!
Because that area by the stem has the most turpines and can cause allergies. Also, it tastes more intense/like pine due to turpentine concentration by the stem.

I try not to ship trees in Summer, they can suffer a lot due to the heat if there is any delay, by the time they reach CA
