No power steering. No ac. Two bolts missing on the top timing cover head to manifold brace missing up top. Block to manifold brace missing at the back, no loom clamps, no brake fluid level connector (I’m joking) I still love you Matt, your videos (including this one) and the stuff you do is so informative and so epic. god bless you. I always await your videos with extreme excitement.
You're a legend Matt, that was bloody quick! I've always found some of the loom plugs a pain in the arse to remove - particularly the 02 sensor, although I work with the car on stands... You should have a tonne more subscribers! Side note... do you have water in your air lines? Cheers Pete
Hey cheers Peter! You are dead right about the loom plugs, if they haven't been in plugged for a while they are usually full of dirt... It was only last week I was pulling the head off for the first time and had that problem haha. Yeah we do have water in the airlines haha good eyes! Even though we have a water separator it doesn't seem to work very well.
This should have 1 million views !! Good stuff buddy. Never done anything like this but considering trying this on my 4efe to change out the buggered one for the original.. Wish me luck lol
Jesus Christ his air tool blows smoke like an engine with a high pressure water pump and blown head gasket. Must not lubricate that air tool just let the water do the lubricating lol. I'm not hating btw huge fan Matt keep up the great work. I look forward to see some more vids possibly with stock combination parts for power making
Proper quick!! I needed two full days just to get the exhaust manifold off my 3S. (studs included becasue 2 said snap, had to drill them out and helicoil the head, that's actually why it took all that time)
Anyways keep it up dude. Keen to see a fuck ton of nitrous on this bad boy. Maybe open the ring end gap up a bit on the stock pistons and see how far you can go 😂 just a thought
@@Camp_Dogs no I haven't, 4A's don't exist here, I've only pulled a few heads and in those you could remove the whole thing with the camshafts still installed
@@flakey7832 well that makes life easier!! What heads are those? Sadly these ones have the cams running right across the top of the head bolts. By the way it is a 4efe engine 🙏 thanks for watching
Doesn't look like it. My 96 paseo doesn't either. I did notice that their was some kind of white grease on the end of all my bolts when I did timing belt and head replacement .

Loves it
Hi! Can you put the head of 4efe on the 2e block?
No idea sorry, never worked on one
"Matt's 20 minute starlet HG changes" 😂😂
"take this video to your local mechanic when they try charge you 10 hours labour" lol
If you stop by Milan could you SWAP a 4efte with the 4efe in my 1998 E11 Corolla? With your skills it would take a few hours! 💪
The problem with being so efficient is now you can only charge half the labour costs😁😁
Funny enough I've been a mechanic for 14 years and never had a single customer come through the door wanting a head gasket done on a starlet lol
@@Camp_Dogs even as quick as you were there was plenty of tips and tricks for those guys wrenching on their small yota's

That sounds like a fun job lol
Is it crazy that this made me wanna speedrun a 5e conversion? Done a fair few now and I’m sure I could do it under 45mins on the hoist

Have go and film it, set the benchmark for me to try beat haha
Matt Berry I don’t think I’m ready to 5e swap the daily ;)
technically you could've left the cams in there and removed the whole thing assembled, good job, incredible
Without being rude, You obviously have never pulled one of these apart lol

Should do a race when I need to do a head gasket on mine😂
Bring it on haha
You got an exhaust sorted yet Nick?
Bro needs a water separator bad on that air system
daaawg no rusted bolts :D

Just increase the ring gap a bit and you wilm be fine 😀
