Traditional realistic painting using the Zorn four color palette!

In this video we will work on a small oil painting using the Zorn Palette. It is a palette comprising four colors, which are, Titanium white, Yellow ochre, Cadmium red, and Ivory black.

Thank you! It is a challenge, but I find that it harmonizes the painting and makes you practice thinking in a simpler way.

using one brush how do you keep colors from getting muddy and mixing the light and dark areas?

That's a great question. When I'm painting, I'm usually cleaning and wiping my brush continually.
