I'm not Iranian but I was impressed of Empress Farrah for a long time since I was a kid. She's one smart lady that became the queen of Iran. There's two women that I admired a lot because of their vision to improve their country and the world. It's Princess Diana & Queen Farrah. Both have the capability to lead.

Hard to think how two women could be more different. Farah is highly educated and much more resilient. And no one has ever heard her say a word about her marriage or private life.

Muslin nations dont accept woman rules, In England queens ruled in time that women could not read . That why brits monarchy still here. They wanted a boy for heir, not girl. So they had nothing at all, because religious mind set depreciating woman. But, the woman bring them in world, so they depreciate their own mother.

As glamorous as Farah Diba Pahlavi 's life was at the beginning of her marriage to the Shah of Iran; she suffered so much at the end of the Shah's life. Throughout the difficulties of living in exile, having to deal with a husband dying of terminal cancer and having to be strong for her young children; Empress Farah Diba remained faithful to her marriage, family and people. I admired her beauty but I respect her for her resilience. Shahbanu Farah Diba will always be an icon for all Middle Eastern women.

Iranians are a great people. The Shahs and the Clerics were all highly patriotic, religious and nationalistic. Farah was also no different in these respects. She is clearly intelligent, cultured, decent, modest and dynamic too unlike many other royals in the world. Iranians naturally would be proud of her. The problem are the major international powers who fear a rising Iran. They play Iranian groups one against the other, so that Iran will not rise up in any form to be in a position to pose a real challenge to them. The Shah and the Clerics too are doing just that. So the other fearful external powers naturally try to play one group off against the other to keep the great Iranian peoples weak and in check. This is the real game behind everything !

Since I stayed in Iran for 4 years until I was 16 years old I did just that. I toured all over Iran when I Elgar school holidays.?I am now 28 years old and I am back in Scotland now trying to teach my 6 year old some Iranian history. The Shah should have reigned, not ruled. If Iran had an arrangement similar to Britain or some other European countries (like Sweden, Denmark, Netherlands), where the monarch did not make government and political decisions, I think Iran would have thrived to be a just, prosperous, free and progressive country and not succumb to despotism.

Instead of talking garbage such as blaming the innocent people of Iran who are ONLY victims of you oil thieves, blame America, the master of Islamic revolution of Khomeini, America’s agent. If you are still unaware of such facts of history, with all sorts of evidence already declassified abs leaks, then STFU and stop commenting here and go read some historical facts. Start with “ two weeks in January”. Read the BBC article on how America instated Khomeini in Iran and tricked army of shah. That’s a good start. They started planning Khomeini in 1972, during embargo. Ask kissinger.
And go look at my playlist and EDUCATE your oil thief terrorist A$$ regarding what Iranians used to be like. I have a whole collection of Iranian movies before America’s revolution for Islam. How DARE you to even suggest we chant Islamic crap that you’ve watched in your propaganda based media and assume that’s what Iranians did back then. Wow.

Every thing went south the moment you guys betrayed shah and destroyed Iran w your agent Khomeini. Start noticing.

The glory of Persepolis was the reason that preceded the fall of the Shah.
It was not a wise decision. The great expense that was made for the greater glory of the Shah,
it was an offense to his poor people.

    God bless you

Only those cultures where the women are treated well, with love, fairness n gentility, flourish. Men born of unhappy down trodden women, subjugated women grow into people with an unhealthy character. Men may rule or preside ... but it's the women of a culture, a country, a community that nourish its soul n character through the children they raise.
The sort of culture eastern and western, in which kids see their father wed n divorce multiple women, rule the roost solely at home, are the only ones in a relationship to be financially independent can never see women in any different light. Result is openly seen today.

Both the Shah & Shahbanu were western educated and lead a completely western life. They had life full of pomp and glamour when majority of the citizens were in poverty and distress. Blaming the officials and bureaucrat is nothing but ignorant. How can it be possible that every official bow down and yet they are not loyal to what the Shah & Shahbanu wanted for thier people. People of Iran were more merciful that they dint end the Shah & Shahbanu as the French or Russian did with their filthy monarch
