Detective Late this game was originally called Doki Doki Panic. It had nothing to do with mario brothers but Nintendo decided that the real SMB2 was too hard for Americans so they swapped the characters and a couple of other things and released it as SMB2.
@@LerRhann it was made by Mario team and designed to be like a Mario game. Hence the stars and pow blocks etc. SMB2-J wasn't deemed too hard for Americans, it was deemed not a great business move.

But on Monday June 3, 2019, I told myself that EVERY MORNING I will watch 1 PART DAY EPISODE of an official Mario game in order EVERY DAY, from Episode 1 of Super Mario Bros to the Final Episode of Paper Mario the Origami King (the last Official Mario game to be released). What I did. It took me 2 years, 1 month, 3 weeks and 6 days is 788 days. And on Friday July 30, 2021, when I FINALLY got to the last episode of Paper Mario the Origami King, I felt both happy and sad (I'm not a poet 😂). In summary THANK YOU for your speedrun on Super Mario Advance which allowed me to continue this "adventure". Continue your speedrun your the best, soon the 6.59k, you deserve them. Thanks TASvidz.
