Sounds like he has the factory solid lifter setup. I had them and they were great. A little noisy but worth it. That car ran like no tomorrow=fast. Love to have another one. These cars are so nice. Don't crash it. With the 2:76:1 sure grip rear- @ 130mph, I had plenty of pedal left and power for it. Plus with 100 octane @ 65 mph = 23 mpg on the interstates. How speed was measured was that my (late) cousin was a police officer and did by the radar gun. Note: unhook speedo when going triple digits . It only goes to 120. Rest Peacefully Denny.

This car IS the General Lee's big brother. A high school friend had a 72 or 73 Newport with a 400, and his brother had a 70 300 with a worked 440. Even the Newport would hit 70 in 1st gear! The 300 was scary fast. The only drawback to these cars was HOOKING UP.

    eautocad,
A Chrysler with a 440 it isnt all noise and no go,these run 13's in the 1/4 with the 350 h.p non hi perf 440 !! The 440 TNT high performance has 375 cough, cough actually had 410 horse /480 + torque and it out runs my 09 Challenger SRT-8 !! The Challenger like all new cars hooks better but when I hook in my 300 it hauls. If its not a smogger 72-78 440,and if the engine isnt shot they move.I ran 15 flat with a 68 440 New Yorker with 80 psi in #7 cyl,the other's had 110-130.

Forgot to ask.... what are the dimensions or if possible the part # of the magnaflows? My dad has a '66 coronet convertible with a 440. It's a work in progress. Please reply! I will greatly appreciate it...

Great car for a demolition derby. Front's are very stout. Rear trunk area weak.
