    It's a good thing you rescued it from that Chevy hack. The motor sounds strong.

    Oh buddy! That’s a beauty! I love those big old MOPARS! I had a 71 Fury I, Coupe I bought off a retired Rhode Island State Trooper, who bought the car off his Colonel. Of course it had a 440/4 brl TNT, all original with only 68,000 miles on it. It had all the special Cop Car HD stuff, including a 3:09 posi rear end, 15x9” steely rims with dog dish hubcaps. The interior was similar to yours with high back bench seat with arm rest. PWPL, AC, AM/FM Stereo, full instrumentation with a certified 140 mph speedometer. It was light grey with blue interior. I ended up putting the best set of HD Shocks I could find, cranked up the torsion bars a bit and added a couple leafs in the rear springs. Only because I used it to tow a boat for my brother, along with a camper I owned. We also used it for all our SCUBA equipment, including a 12’ Zodiac inflatable raft, with a 35 hp Chrysler Outboard boat motor and 5 gal gas tank. All together about 800 lbs of stuff that totally fit in the trunk. I wanted wide tires all around, but they were terrible at the slimy boat ramps, so I ended up with a set of four matching huge Firestone Town&Country Snow tires I ran year round, looking like some rally car of sorts, but they helped me get through any type of weather and muddy/dirt roads, no matter how wet! That car was like a 2wd pickup underneath, with plenty of room an comfort for 4 big guys an all their gear! That drove like the General Lee at times!

    Really nice, I had one that was bronze with a shite interior and a white top, it was a sharp car.

    This is almost the spitting image of my first ‘71 300, my father bought it brand new with the TNT 440, passed to me. Unfortunately the NJ road salt took its toll on the body and frame. Replaced it with another 71. Sure wish I held on to both of them. Beautiful car!

    That rear quarter panel probably has enough metal to make a whole car body today.

    There are two kinds of men in this world. Those who own C bodies, and those wish they owned a C body. Fuselage is pure automotive perfection. This car is superlative.

    That car would only come with a dual snorkel air cleaner if it came with the 440 hp or TNT. Highly unlikely.

    • @seanfattireguythomas2994
      @seanfattireguythomas2994  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      It did have a factory dual snorkel so I don’t know exactly what you meant by Highly Unlikely are you saying Chrysler 300 didn’t come with a 440 from the factory

    • @theoriginalmungaman
      @theoriginalmungaman 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@seanfattireguythomas2994 No, the only engine available in the 300 was a 440. But 99% were T code 440’s ( low compression) the U code high performance or TNT was optional. This is the only engine that came with a dual snorkel. Whats the 5th digit on the vin?

      @@theoriginalmungaman I’ll have to check the vin I do know the block matches the vin because I checked when I first got the car it is a forged crank but the whole top end with the duel snorkel got discarded the man I got it from did all the work put all Indy top end

      @theoriginalmungaman 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@seanfattireguythomas2994 All 71 440’s are forged cranks. If you have a U code thats very rare.
