That Stunt sequence in Karate School is done by parking cranes outside the stadium and hanging them with wires. Unfortunately the crane wire got broken and so many are injured. Director shankar said in an interview that during this sequence stunt shiva, Peter heins the stunt cherographers are badly injured but they completed the scene.
Shamkar should take more care, last year Kamal sir movie got into accident.

Recently Vikram revealed that he couldn't act as Remo front of that mirror while he was in Ambu's get up. It took some time for him to channelise it, he also asked director if he can not look at himself while doing it

In retrospect, the fight scenes are more reminiscent of Stephen Chow movies than Jet Li or The Matrix, because they are so over the top, but back when it was released, such action choreography was revolutionary for Indian cinema. Vikram is a brilliant actor, and he shows a wide range of character traits here. The movie does require a willing suspension of disbelief, and as long as you ignore the not-at-all-subtle hyperbolics, it is a fun watch.
Imagine they did this in 2004 and released in 2005 (pre-smartphone era, even youtube started only 2005)... Stunts though copied little from matrix..but still the VFX is too early for India to adopt..
Back when this came out, western movies we're not very prevalent in India. In the retrospective, yeah. Looked a lot like Matrix reloaded. But, back then, Indians felt these action sequences quite new and refreshing because of the lack of popularity of western movies.

Vikram is one of those actors who never does a bad work . Even if a movie is average, his acting is always top notch .
I can't even Imagine the hype this movie could have made at those times. Especially with that Nokia song.... The youngsters could have had such a great time then.Most tamil movies nowadays don't have such vibe songs...Anirudh is the last one in the pack.... Man only if I had a time machine 😑

@@shashankmallamraju4271 exactly Half of the things I was excited about came in the form of songs or his modelling photoshoots and it had nothing to do with the story. The director tricked us good! Was hugely disappointed and sleepy during the movie.

Film is so amazing story is also great but there's a problem if they make fights more realistic bcoz that's only thing that irritates me now! back then when i was child i love this movie fight scene but now only fight scenes irritates but story is great and Vikram also performed amazing

5:24 Strongly disagree! There are many complicated shots in the matrix reloaded that were actually cgi. The bunch of agent smiths flying over and Neo fighting bunch of smiths with a rod was completely made with cgi. I mean nearly 70% of the entire burly brawl fight is a video game cut scene-like sequence.
But in Anniyan, it was done real. Not bragging but Andrew was just completely wrong there.

Dayumm..This multiple personality disorder is real man.. when I was in hostel one of my roommate had this.. out of no where he was speaking the language he never spoke before..He started having the episodes of seizures after that accident. His family consulted many sages and cured this with with the help of occult. Doctors also didn't know what to do..

I can totally relate to this movie.. i lost my 13yo sister too(because of negligence by medical authorities), and i dont know why i always behave like a baby, trying to follow all the rules. I took every person as good by default. I also have few medical conditions like him.its really tough.
The guy which dies in the climax I mean the one Ambi pushes from train is the same guy who ignored the call of ambi's father (the electric office guy )
