This is The Warning doing the "Ironwomen" set, late into the night, pulling this one off at the end of a show. I've heard they all went back to the dressing room afterward and collapsed, especially Ale, who I think was 13 at the time. Also they pulled this off without having rehearsed it and not playing it for a few years, as they had already transitioned to not doing covers at all in their performances. They played it as a request as Metallica is the favorite band of the guy who booked their gig at the Whiskey - and it was his birthday.
Theres an amazing story behind this performance. In 2017 they said they did not want to be known as a cover band so they would not record or perform any more covers. Move ahead 3 years and they are doing a second night at the Whisky and they are told its the owners birthday and he loves the song Atlas Rise. The girls add it as the encore song that night even though they had not played it in 3 years. What a strong encore to a 23 song set.
Thanks for telling the story and giving the background. Whenever I watch this I think about that and how in the world they just pulled that off the shelf, dusted it off and then nailed it after already performing for two hours. Incredible.
I was there, this is from the 2019 private show, not the 2020 shows, which I also attended. The guy that brought us the private show was the reason they did Atlas Rise, for him. This was the encore after a 2+ hour nonstop show of their original music and as you can see, Ale barely gets through it. After the show, I asked Dany how they managed too get through that 7 minute banger and she told me when they got up to the green room they all 3 collapsed on the couch, exhausted. They did 22 songs for just over 100 invitation only fans...lucky me! ⚡️
Such a great job on this, and they were all teenagers still. I always feel sorry for Ale who was just 15 and completely wiped out by performing for 2 hours, she still persevered to the end. One thing that always impressed me is allegedly they learned this one in 4 days after the release of Metallica's Hardwired album. Then they recorded one of the only other recorded versions of this from their basement ("The Cave" as you may see their home practice space called.) I like that version just because the sound is a little less muddy and it's well lit. But you can't argue with a live version like this.)
Talking about a rigorous schedule. I saw them on Aug.13,2022 in Richmond VA. The night (Portsmouth) after their last date of the first part of the "Halestorm" tour. The next day (14th) they were in Colorado (high altitude) where Dany almost calapsed on stage. (Shortened) their show. Dany was taken away ( dehydration and altitude sickness ). Later last year (November) they were back in Canada where all three got the flue. One at a time. They may be young, but don't kill them.
Ale the bass player looks so tired cause it was the last song that night after maybe 16 more songs. It was a special request from someone for the whiskey a gogo. Nice!
The Warning released two videos of *Atlas Rise.* This one at Whiskey A Go-Go in LA during an encore for a special closed from the public concert in Jan of 2019. This encore was after over an hour & 50 minute show. The other video was also live. But it was done in the Warning's basement studio called *The Cave.* This cover & video from The Cave was when The Warning decided not to play covers, as a band, anymore until *Enter Sandman with Alessia Cara* (The Warning's version).
the all-female rock group , called The Warning, for my taste is a rare mix of legendary rock groups like Suzi Quatro, Joan Jett and the black hearts and Heart. greetings from Mexico.
Watch out Jimmy, your falling deeper into the Warning Wabbit 🕳️ 🐇. 5 years ago I spent over an entire week being Warned! Have seen them 7 times now including flying to LA and The Whiskey shows in 2020. They have written and produced, I believe 45 original songs. And not a filler but a bunch of rockers and a few intimate songs. I’m 65 years old and I feel blessed to be supporting them as a Patreon Ultimate. I’ve personally met them and their family and they all are the nicest people in the world. And the Warning Army, I’ve met and built relationships with so many great people. Hop aboard and join us! ❤️🔥
Hola!!
23rd song of a 23 song concert- they were dead tired but still kicked ass! Now that you have seen and heard the live poor audio version try this clear audio version from a few years earlier: th-cam.com/video/ujrHJH3yovc/w-d-xo.html
Nice hard rock rendition of a mediocre metal song. And for the critics out there, just because Dany rarely solos doesn't mean she can't. Case in point.
One tiny badass woman on guitar doing the work of two full grown men!
These girls always give 110%, even after playing 2 hours straight. 👍😎
This cover made me a fan This cover also shows that Dany is an underrated guitar player
I normally hate the word from overuse but they are ALL underrated 🎯
Sooooooo good.

I could tell that they were giving it all. Very Cool!
Exactly Elgon. It’s a mind blowing moment for sure.

I get that, that was cool of them to do that. Just getting my feet wet but loving it so far.
They do a song called narcisista its in Spanish but its a big FU to all the people who gave them crap for only sing and writing songs in English.

I could tell, but they gave it all. Respect.

Indeed!

Their covers are as much a curse as they were a blessing. They are so much better than this.
It only shows that they could be a metal band if they wanted to, luckily they are not, they just have to pull the rock & roll out of the ashes...😎
