best modifications in my opinion: Crash Bars, DirtSackLuggage easy ridder saddle bags for panniers, vibration dampeners + touring mirrors and you're good to go.
This video popped up for the first time today, I started to watch and right in the beginning, I was like: "The voice of this guy is exactly like the voice is the scooteria guy..." I was about to comment and when I looked on the channel, and there you are.. Lol
Thank you for the video. Royal Enfield has made the perfect classic motorcycle for modern times. I want one of the 350 models, but can't decided which I like best.
I visited a Royal Enfield dealer a week ago and sat on all of the 350 models, including the Bullet. I found the Bullet seat and riding position the most comfortable. That would be the one I would buy.
Completely agree, especially for the United States. The Shotgun may be it, if that is coming to the States. This is the first bike I've seen that looks good in all colorways. That says a lot about the lines of this bike.
I agree! I’ve had my Signals Marsh Grey for 4mos and enjoyed the backroads of California’s gold country. Perfect if you enjoy a comfortable ride through the countryside. Agree: Great first bike and there are no end to the comments from people who see it parked!
I’m buying the green one for my retirement , I won’t be fitting a screen but like you I’m going to buy some alloys and fit Michelin Road 5 or 6 on. Will definitely take the back seat off and fit a rack and panniers , also touring mirrors as prefer black to chrome and black crash bars. Yours looks gorgeous, I can’t wait to go down some country lanes and find small cafes😊😊
The green one looks beautiful too. The Classic 350 looks great without the passenger seat, I will try this too. You will have a lot of fun with the Royal Enfield 👍😎
Marc: great video, as always. Very good summary of the bike. I have a '23 Meteor 350, 2,000+ miles (sitting in the garage for the winter). I agree with you: 1) 20 HP doesn't seem like a lot, but it's enough for back-road riding. (If I want to do multi-day out of town touring or need to go on the highway all day, I have the mighty C 400 GT for that.) 2) Riding the Meteor 350 ALWAYS brings a smile to my face. 3) I bought the Meteor, instead of the other 350J models, because I wanted tubeless tires -- I'm often pretty far from home in rural areas (and carry a compressor and patch kit in my Givi panniers). (I also like my feet more forward -- old guy, with not so great knees -- and I also like the heel/toe shifter on the Meteor.) I noticed particularly in this video that the 360 camera seems to have much better color saturation, more dynamic range, or something like that, than your helmet-mounted camera. The sky, in particular, looks much richer with the 360 camera. You notice that, too, I imagine? Thanks again, keep up the good work, and enjoy the ride.
Hi, I wish you a happy 2014 🎊🎉 I did a test ride with the Meteor too, it is very comfortable but I liked the look of the Classic 350. The colors of the Insta 360 and the DJI Action vary because of different color profiles that I used. Have a safe ride. Cheers Marc
Bonsoir, je suis Français je possède la classic 350 avec les mêmes modifications et accessoires mais Jai en plus les deux selles touring. La moto a 4300 km et j'en suis très content.
Hi Marc. Great filming! I've reached 1,650 miles on my Classic 350 and now the engine is run in and valve clearances set (I did them myself at 1300 miles as I don't believe they were checked at the first service) the bike is really smooth with a noticeable increase in performance. Looking forward to your thoughts when you've run the engine in. Stay safe. Andy
Hi Andi, I am curious to see how the bike feels after 1500 miles. I heard quite often that it runs much better after a longer run in period. Have a safe ride ✌✌
Hallo Marc!
I have the same bike and love it. I have fitted the DNA stage 2 filter and eBay de cat pipe for £30 . It's made a huge difference! Not faster as such but pulls a lot better 2 up!
Hi Marc, good video, are you still in love with the bike? I've put a deposit on the red and chrome version but at the minute there's none here so it will be May probably before it comes to Spain. My Triumph T120 Bonneville will be sold then as now, with old age, it's too heavy for me when moving it around in my garage etc. but okay on the move. Does it have a USB port or is that an extra?
Great video ! Thank you for this...I have one of these bikes myself and live it to bits....I also have a couple of questions for you : -could you describe how you record audio? You've achieved a very nice balance between recording of your voice and recording the sound of your engine - could you share what is the chest mounted camera you are using? I love that wide lens and the way that shot is framed...most people don't get as much of their bike in their shots but your shot is perfectly composed.
Buona strada
Awesome video and great camera angles, Classsic 350 is a great motorcycle, In Germany which motorcycle would you prefer apart from Royal Enfields in the 300-500 cc segment in more retro classic category and not the Japanese sports.
@Marc.Stones Sure, will checkout the Brixton motorcycle, I think it's a Philippines brand, but you're right Royal Enfields are more reliable have loads of old school character less electronics and great heritage value for sure. The engine 350 Royal Enfield resemble the old BMW R26 in character if you agree.
@Marc.Stones I own an Interceptor 650 and a Bullet 350 ,both are simple but excellent motorcycles, old school no frills motorcycles.Very few brands give you the feel good retro charm which Royal Enfields give.
I like a single cylinder engine, it matches the classic vibe. A smooth 500 classic would be nice but I don't see that happening. A 650 classic is more likely. I had a 650 Interceptor but sold it because the riding position was uncomfortable.. Too much reach to the bars, too much bend at the knee, my feet kept getting tangled in the foot pegs at a stop. I am 6 feet (183 cm) tall with a 32 inch (82 cm) inside leg. I prefer the classic style. I would look at a 650 classic. A 350 with 5 more horsepower would be appealing.
The Hitchcocks Motorcycles cam kit adds 5 HP to the 350 motor. That is a 25% increase. The top speed is the same but the acceleration if faster. It has been reported that riding with two people is more relaxed.
The only thing keeping me from buying this bike is I’m unsure how far I could realistically travel on it. I don’t expect to go across the country but would like to take it on a 600 mile trip. Anyone pushed this bike that far in 1 trip?
This is a modern motorized vehicle. It wasn't built in the early 1900s. With such a low stressed engine it should last a hundred-thousand miles or more. Why do you think it wouldn't be good for long distance travel? It has a limited top speed of 73 mph. Bicyclists ride across the world. Forty-nine cc scooters ride around the world. The RE 350 would do the same. Buy a customized seat or an Air Hawk seat cover if you don't think the original seat is comfortable for a long trip.
@@MrMoneyHelper i guess not having much experience riding, I was unsure of the difference between a physically being able to make a journey on a certain motorcycle and whether it would be advisable to do so on a certain machine. For example, I could go from one city to another on a bicycle but I don’t think it would be smart to do so unless you were some extreme/experienced bicyclist. Also, someone with years of experience might be able to ride thousands of miles on U.S highways with a scooter but doing so probably wouldn’t be recommend for a more novice rider. So I wasn’t sure if a less experienced rider, like myself, should attempt a long trip on such a simple/smaller machine like a classic 350 or whether it would be safer/smarter to attempt this type of trip with a larger machine. I love the price of the classic but I don’t want to be restricted from doing the one thing I really want to do which is take trips on a motorcycle. Thanks
Good video, the Classic 350 looks great in bronze!
Thanks a lot 🙂

Marc - I wrote this reply at the coffee shop and when I got out to my bike I found someone taking a picture of my bike! 😂
I had the same situation 2 weeks ago, gives me always a good feeling that I chose the right bike :-D

Hallo Erwin, vielen Dank, ich wünsche dir auch ein schönes Jahr 2014 🎊✌️
I would love the 500 classic but based on the current engine. Not the previous 500.
A 500 would be great, maybe the 650 will be released this year ✌️

Wish you a great 2024 too ! ✌😎
Hi Marc.....nice video! Does it have a name yet? I hope Neo is not having sibling jealousy! Looks great, and many happy and safe miles.
Hi Dan, yes, my Royal Enfields name is SAM 😁 have a great year 2024 🎉🎊

It has a USB port on the left side of the handlebar.

Very nicely done, sir!

Thanks Tom, happy new year 🎊
Nice colour dude here’s the question if you had to choose this or the Vespa ? I’d choose a GTS 👍🏻👍🏻
I would choose the Vespa too, but the Royal Enfield Classic 350 is a great classic motorcycle :-)
I would choose the Royal Enfield, great retro look and much cheaper then a Vespa Gts@@Marc.Stones

I’m from India and I’ve the same bike (motorcycle). Which windshield is it? I want it.
This is the original Royal Enfield windshield for the Classic 350
Thanks! It is not easily available in India as an accessory.
Can you share about your camera setup i.e. the one that you mounted on your bike as well as on your helmet?
I am using 2 DJI Action 4 and a Insta 360 X3 for moto vlogging.
