In this Broadcast Award-winning, BAFTA and Emmy Award-nominated entertainment show, Taskmaster tyrant Greg Davies (Man Down, Cuckoo), with the help of his loyal assistant Alex Horne (The Horne Section and the show’s creator), sets out to test the wiles, wit and wisdom of five hyper-competitive comedians.
Comedians that have risked life, limb, and dignity in the hope of making the Taskmaster proud so far include: Frank Skinner (The Frank Skinner Show), Mel Giedroyc (The Great British Bake Off), Romesh Ranganathan (Asian Provocateur), Hugh Dennis (Outnumbered), Sally Phillips (Bridget Jones’ Diary), Rose Matafeo (Edinburgh Comedy Award Winner 2018), and Russell Howard (The Russell Howard Hour). Unaware of what awaits them in each wax-sealed envelope, only one competitor can become the victorious owner of His Royal Task-ness’ golden head and be crowned the next Taskmaster Champion.

It's been such a long time since I saw him in anything, that I didn't recognise him at all (I've never seen clips from this series).
But the complete sass of that line made me instantly think "Hold on, is that the Joan Collin's Fan Club?". And it was.
I agree with people calling this one of the best Tasks ever made. Julian's deadpan, "What a terrible day we're having" in a room full of smoke is too relatable, I'm going to hear it in my head the next time my toddler has a meltdown.
The way theyre all just ogling/singing to him through the window as he makes a call and julians like " you think hes calling reception??" 😭
julian was really the only one playing along with the storyline here. i wonder what would have happened if he was on the other team and lucy and sam were alone.

We have a saying in Brazilian Portuguese that translates roughly to “the medication for an insane person is an insane person and a half” and I feel this task with this group is the perfect example of it. They called Qrs’ bluff.

@@Dilmahkanathe beauty of the situation is that while Julian is saner than Lucy and Sam, he has such a disdain for Alex that he’s willing to let Lucy and Sam do what they want to him.

Qrs could barely be the demanding guest he was for the Susans because the trio kept forcing services upon him 😂

Yeah I love the completely different feeling between the two. With the other two he's being the ridiculous one that is asking for a bed time story and laundry and a spa all in 30 minutes. In this one he almost seems like the normal one who's disturbed by the staff suggesting things they can do for him.

Qrs leaving had the energy of someone escaping some crazy hotel at the end of a horror movie.

I love how there’s this brief moment of promise where Sam hands Qrs the complimentary feather. It looks like they might end up being quite nice to him. And then it all goes south really really quickly…
I thought the opposite, that the presentation of a random feather threw Alex/Qrs, and it was the foreshadowing of all the chaos to come😭😂🤣
I think throughout they’re trying to be nice to him, they just don’t know how.
I feel like Sam is always unhinged but very involved in the tasks but here it just looks like he fully stopped giving a fuck (and it's amazing)

my absolute favourite part is when Lucy goes full mum mode when she tells Alex he doesn't have enough time for a glass of milk and a bedtime story
The final shot of the three of them seeing him off, it really looks like a classic still fron a horror movie, especially with Lucy‘s apron and her slight hunch.
Alex asking Lucy to please get out of his bed & later hightailing out of the hotel with the 3 watching him are some of my favourite moments here.
The original cut in the show had me crying I was laughing so hard, but this longer cut is even more amazing; it’s like watching aliens pretending to run a hotel 😂

Silent chaos doesn't usually involve a French horn, but it's quite a treat when it does.
Those subtle 2 pushes at the end was Julian’s funniest moment of the series. 8:40
I think it’s on par with Julian ignoring Alex and driving off in the previous episode, especially with the frantic whistling in the background
i loved both the Sues and the No Clues

Lucy is being such a MOM in this one: "Qrs, you haven't got time for a bedtime story, if you leave in 3 minutes!". I think she also just gets into bed with him for bedtime stories, because that's what moms do. Inapproriate touching and commenting on Alex body, "You really have to do your treatment now!"

Julian vs Alex was really something to enjoy!
So funny task, Lucy got in bed with Alex to read a betimestory. All three in the caravan listening. I`m still laughing to tears. Oh my god.

The crazy thing is that I initially had the same thought that they would need to provide him with a view when watching the Sues complete the task 😅

I love how there are multiple moments where you can see Alex get visibly upset 🤣
This task has so much potential for a spin off series. Not too long because it could wear thin, but a good hour per group of owners could work for a series or two.
If it doesn’t get at least one of them hired for a sitcom, justice will not be done.

This task is so brilliant. I don’t think Alex even got the chance to ask for all the things he did with the Sues because this mad bunch just kept forcing him to do things! So good.
I appreciate the clever editing at 7:27 where Julian clearly said "what a c#$*t" as Lucy started playing the French horn so the edit uses the sound of the horn to mask the last word of Julian's comment
As soon as I saw this task and the team setup, I knew this would be absolutely golden.
We have not given enough attention to Alex getting dragged to the fire assembly point and walking and tripping over himself like a newborn foal with gangly lil legs he can't quite use yet. Plus the towel falling off, there was something very precious and goofy about the whole thing
I love how the sight of the forks and marbles send Susan into hysterics, but Sam is completely unfazed by it.
The 3 of them cluelessly staring & singing to him through the window sent me
They're like the most demented, loving family.
I remember seeing this and having to rewind to see if their task was the opposite of the other group where they tried to make the guests stay as uncomfortable as possible.
I think this might be favourite ever task - first time I watched it I was literally crying laughing, there's just no let-up, just line after line of pure gold from every one of them
