I agree with you about woodland walking, and the great thing is that there is so much deciduous woodland close to urban areas. We live in West Yorkshire and have a choice of woods within a mile in any direction.
may have been windy but so nice to see the sun and Richmond is a place I have been visiting since I was a kid and we got there at least 4 times a year even now, especially as it is only 18 miles from home. The lunch view looked amazing to me but I never knew about the iron age settlement there and plenty of rabbit holes to trip you up too. Good to see it is not only me that takes a tumble every now and again but good to see you were not badly hurt. The walk got better and better and the river Swale looked very nice, as it always does, a grand day out, cheers Alan
Hi Carrie lovely walk and a perfect lunch spot I remember walking round there when I did the Coast to Coast walk back in the late 1990s , ate Carrie and it’s a big 👍from me
Lovely walk Carrie, thank you. I visited Richmond a few times while living near Ripon but never had a chance to walk there. I worked up in the dales for a while and did lots of walking near Muker and Keld.
Hi Carrie 😊 looked a lovely walk, especially through the wood sections like all those camera views looking up at the tree tops. Great that the sun was out and it was nice and quiet too for you. Lovely lunch spot view. Oh dear hope your ok after your fall 😅 we’ve all been there😅 nice by the river
A superb day out Carrie-great to use the imagination and visualize the settlement there. I loved the woods today and the few people out not that were anti-social. Re-the walks I agree - something is better than nothing as they say. I hope your knee was alright - it's like that eh-even the tiniest bump can send us over. Well, good going. All the best. Mark
Hi Mark. I love to visit these sites and imagine how people lived thousands of years ago. Yeah, the knee is fine- takes more than a tumble to injure me!
Hi! What an absolutely stunning walk! So many sights and landscapes to take in! Who would know that settlement was there - amazing! I love a woodland walk, too, and those woodlands were very beautiful. I hope your knee recovered! Im always falling on a walk, usually when people are around to see! 😅 Really enjoyed that! 😊
Beautiful places, nature, views, walk, footage ... Thank you for sharing. Video 👍

@@carriehikes Me to Carrie - the imagination is a large part of our life. Good to hear about the knee and stoicism.
